The school suffers from cliques and poor leadership. It is a shame because the format and school schedule are excellent for young children.

My son absolutely loves going to school every day at St. Peter Claver Preschool and Kindergarten. His face lights up with excitement every time we pull up to school in the morning and he is always greeted with a big smile from teachers who are very warm and welcoming. After school he always says he had “so much fun”and the teachers are “so nice”. St. Peter Claver has a positive school culture and the teachers are all highly qualified. I know my child is in good hands and will be cared for while away from me. Teachers also do a great job of communicating to parents what’s happening in the classroom. There are also an abundance of fun out of school functions for students to participate in. I would highly recommend St. Peter Claver Preschool and Kindergarten to anyone looking for a positive, fun and affordable start to your child’s education!

St. Peter Claver Preschool and Kindergarten is an excellent school. What I like best is the amazing staff. They are always willing to speak to parents and most importantly create a nurturing environment for children. St. Peter is one of the few accredited preschools in Simi Valley which puts them at a higher level of quality. My family has had a great year at St. Peter and are looking forward to returning next year for kindergarten. We are so excited that besides our daughter learning letters, numbers and spelling her name she has developed a LOVE for school!

I highly recommend St. Peter Claver!! It is an awesome school. I love the facility. It is a great learning environment for children. Prior to coming to St. Peter I visited several other schools and to me the environment was very important. Too often preschool classrooms are overly cluttered and unorganized. The teaching staff is also amazing!! St. Peter is one of the few accredited preschools in Simi Valley. We love this school and are looking forward to returning for Kindergarten!!!!

St. Peter Preschool is a great school. The atmosphere from most of the staff is warm and loving. The teachers from the 4 year old classroom are some of the best preschool teachers I have seen. I was impressed right away upon learning that both teachers in the classroom have their bachelor's degree, with one even having a teaching credential and her Master's Degree. They both communicate with the parents regularly and work closely with the parents when any concerns arise. My son was writing his first and last name by December and easy cvc words independently by February. This school requires a lot of parent participation, which I understand is beneficial. However, it is not always reasonable when a single mom who works full time can not take days off to volunteer. I just feel a suggestion would be to cut the required hours in half for single parents. There are a lot of moms who volunteer a lot, so if you are one of those you will fit into the parental atmosphere just fine. Overall the education, support, spiritual guidance, and love the room 4 teachers gave my son has gotten him off to a beautiful and happy start in his education.

St. Peter Claver Preschool & Kindergarten is an excellent school. The teachers and very involved and really care about their students. I would recommend this school to all families.
