Noticed teacher have no training and are very incompetent when dealing with children with learning disabilities like ADHD. Bullying is a norm at this school. Staff here refers to bullies as alpha males.

We have an excellent teaching staff at Katherine. The PTA is awesome. The principal and staff work together to making learning fun. They also work together to resolve issues to make our school great. I have been a part of this community for over 15 years and have had a wonderful experience.

I promise you won't find a more committed staff....principal, teachers, aides, librarian, etc...... The PTA is so active and adds a lot to the school! You can't go wrong sending your child/ren here!

We will be starting our eighth year at Katherine in the fall. We feel so very blessed to have found this educational home for our kids.Katherine is a California Distinguished School filled with loving and dedicated teachers and staff. The Principal is innovative and hands on and very much desires to advance the educational experience of our students. Katherine has an RTI Program that is above the rest. The PTA is committed and enthusiatic. Katherine also has wonderful programs and after-school enrichment. Our school is a caring family-like school community. They love to celebrate the students through activities like the Annual Talent Show and Festival of Student Achievement. We have made so many memories at the annual Carnival, Pancake Breakfast, and Holiday Social, just to name a few. Our family looks forward to the years to come.

We selected Katherine Elementary to attend via School of Choice application because we wanted a smaller school environment than our default school offered and have been extremely happy with our choice. My oldest attended K-6th at Katherine. Between our other kids we have about another eight years to go with no plans to change schools even though we moved. The principal(s), teachers and staff are fantastic. They really get to know the parents and students. The teachers are all very dedicated to the students and providing an up-to-date curriculum that keeps the students' best interest in mind. The PTA is very active and provides many opportunities for the students. The school dedicated itself to earn the Distinguished School of California Award and has continued to look for ways to provide the best learning environment possible for its students. We LOVE Katherine Elementary!

My daughter has been going to Katherine since she was in kindergarten and now she is in 4th grade, sadly we moved and she had to go to a different school for 4th grade. But every day at Katherine she's always telling me she had a great day. She had a wonderful time there. Even my step-sister went there from kindergarten though 6th grade. They have talent shows every year and they serve pizza and popcorn and the dancers/singers are amazing. My daughter was in a pottery class every Tuesday and she loved it. She made so many things. But, I have to say it did cost a little to much.The staffs, principle,office workers,and the teachers really want the children to learn and get a great education. Some of the fun things they have is a torch run, talent show, a walk to school day, sometimes they bring in famous authors or illustrators to talk to the kids, they have fun raisers, people come to talk to the kids about space and many more! Great school and we made a good choice. The principle is amazing and very nice.

Katherine is a great school and both my children have learned alot while attending Katherine.The teachers couldnt be better and I recommend Katherine to all my friends who have kids getting ready to start Elementary School.

Sean Platt is a wonderful Principle. Katherine won the Quiz Bowl academic competition for all of SVUSD last year and is defending the title this year. Both of my children are designated GATE (gifted and talented education) and have excelled at Katherine Elementary School. It is a safe school with great teachers. My son graduated with the honor of the Presidents award for educational excellence last year. Thanks to all the staff and administration at Katherine for making it so great! -Nathan Apelbaum
