How do you not have ANYTHING TO CELEBRATE THE 5th graders moving on and encouraging success! This school is horrible RUN! And I mean FAST! Dealt with this school 6 whole years and I at least expected a small ceremony for our future middle schoolers

I love this school. My daughter went there from kindergarten to 3rd grade special ed and my experience was exceptional. She improved and was surrounded by kids who made her even do more. My son finished his elementary at this school from 3rd grade and had an absolute wonderful experience!!!!!! This school is so underated by far . Thumbs up to all the teachers and principal for making sure the kids are challenged and educated. Shout out to Ms Allbirrittin !!!!!

ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!!! Your child is better off in a private school. This is supposedly an "A-Rated" school... right, surely doesn't feel that way. In all my life I NEVER HAD A YEAR OF SCHOOL WHERE I HAD FIVE TEACHERS BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR'S END. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.

My fist day for open house was great, everyone was looking & dress professionally. I met with my daughter kindergarten teacher, her classroom is equip with everything to make clearing fun. I'm looking forward to a great school year at Princeton Elementary.

My son is in the kindergarten. His teacher is as sweet as pie but she has a classroom full of different students. Different as in problem-ed students and students who are willing and ready to learn. Most of the time she can't teach effectively because she's trying to correct behavior problems. Homework??? I pretty much create homework for my son. My son gets homework from school every blue moon and when he does get homework it's received on a Wednesday or Thursday to be returned Monday?!

Continued... Parents follow the hierarchy that is in place at your school. Go to the teacher, then the principal, then a Dekalb county board member if need be. THEN when all else has failed, if you feel inclined to leave a negative remark...do so. But in the end - that negative remark does nothing for your child, and again your home values, which affect the tax base, which affects the MONEY your school gets...suffer. The only bad thing I have to say about Princeton is - Please let the kids have more freedom. Let them talk at lunch and be kids sometimes. I have 2 all star kids at Princeton. And I will put them up against any 3'rd graders anywhere in Georgia. My daughter (8) currently tests on a 5th grade reading and math level.

Sad but true... The staff do not seem to realize that they are supposed to be role models for the children and not correction officers. There is a big diffrence between stern tone and a disrespectful attitude. I'm highly dissapointed and I am sorry for anyone who has to be subject to these people. I have met some wonderfull teachers and hate the fact that they don't seem to out number the previously mentioned. Thinking of moving, it is our second year here and we want out! The best way to teach a child is by showing them something over and over. I want mychild to be shown kindness often enough to learn it.

I currently have a 4th grader and a 2nd grader at Princeton Elementary. My 4th grader has attended Princeton since she was in kindergarten. Princeton has the potential to be a wonderful school. The principal, Dr. Clark, is awesome and very personable. She has been the principal for the four years we have attended this school. My understanding is that she has turned the school around from its previous principal. The teachers and administration are some of the hardest working and caring teachers. The only problem I have is with the students, which are the products obvious poor parenting. My daughter comes home every day complaining about how difficult classroom instruction is because of the misbehavior within the classroom. Also the teachers have way too many students in the classroom. My fourth grader said that there are 32 children in the class!! That is not a conducive learning environment. My husband and I are seeking Other options even though school has just begun. I wish that this school would blossom the way it should because the potential is there.
