A glorified daycare for older children. This is not a true montissorri school - seems to be prurely profit run without any real concern for children’s education

Overall my first impression of this school was that is was a caring, family-orientated school delivering a high level academically rich curriculum. I was told that children who attend will exceed their grade level expectations and become well-rounded due to all the extra-activities offered and specialized style of teaching. I was told that they make healthy, from scratch meals everyday to support their ethos and that each student received individual lessons. I was told that they initially test each child upon enrollment to assess and create a tailored plan specifically designed to work on inefficiencies or weak points. On a weekly bases parents are told that report cards would be issued soon and that parent conference opportunities were coming. None of this was every made a reality. The school struggles to provide a basic education for the older children. They provide ramen noodles and pre-made chicken soup for lunch whilst charging parents $60 a month for the privilege. They do not actually test the children, nor provide and report cards or written evidence of a child's educational progress. They are failing the children that attend and themselves. By not ensuring that all staff is fully background checked they are also exposing all of the children to unnecessary risk. By exposing children to staff members who have not received adequate relevant training they are effectively deceiving parents who are paying private school fees on the premise that their child is receiving a Montessori style of education - that they unwilling or just unable to provide.

We are having a great experience at Excellent. My child started at age 3. His teacher fosters a love of learning and he has grown both socially and academically since he was enrolled. I am familiar with music and was impressed by the quality of his piano lessons at Excellent, as well as the field trips. The Center for Puppetry Arts came to the school and did a special performance and activity just for them. This school is a hidden gem and I would recommend to any parent looking for a nurturing, high quality school environment.

My child recently withdrew from Excellent Montessori not for lack of quality but because my child simply outgrew this environment. We have been an engaged family with Excellent Montessori for 4 years and would encourage this school to those with infants, toddlers, and primary aged students. A parent should not send their student to school expecting teachers to conduct all of the instruction. Teaching involves parents as well. If there are any gaps found in your child's curriculum, as a parent, you must supplement them no matter what learning environment they're in. I highly recommend Excellent particularly Ms. Hattie and Ms. Joy as teachers.

My child started school at age 3 in the primary class. I liked the teachers and she loved coming to school each day. When she started on the elementary program, I was impressed with the advanced level of subjects she was learning. The kinds of books she read, the math, science, and foreign language she was exposed to were more than what her friends from our local public school were learning. This is her first year in a public middle school, she was given 2 tests by the public school because they wanted to make sure that she would be ready, because she is about a year younger than her peers. The public school placed het in regular eduction classes for the first week, the second week, she was moved to gifted classes in language,math,science (at teacher recommendation), and encouraged to run for student government. She enjoys the new school, but has asked me to send her back to Excellent for summer camp. I highly recommend this school for the small community and great teachers.

My child attended Excellent beginning at age 4. From 1st to 3rd grade we were always told that my child tested above their grade level however we could never get copy's of the tests. There was always an excuse as to why they were not available. I started to become concerned when I would hear what other kids my child's age were covering in school and it had not been introduced at Excellent. When I took my child out and placed them in a public school in the 4th grade, we quickly found out they were in fact BEHIND in many subjects. There was so much in reference to Reading, Language Arts, History, and Science that had either been missed or it just was not covered. It is devastating to a child to be a straight A student one year and struggle to get B's the next. We have had to hire a tutor to help fill in the gaping holes and bring my child up to where they should be. My suggestion would be to find another private school or a GOOD public school. Excellent is not the answer.

My daughter has been a student here for 4 years..... During that time she has been exposed to multiple foreign languages, music, art, dance, and extra activities ( Ty Kwon Do, Swimming). Her academic performance is well above her current grade level and more than that, she is developing a REAL love of learning and education. The teachers are warm, inviting and truly invested in each and every student. This has proven to be a great investment in my daughters' future.....
