Marvin Elementary traditional theme school is the best school that my child has ever went to my child has been secure at that school the bathroom is c!ean they are so. Nice so my daughter is in second grade heading to third

I had no idea 5 years ago when my daughter was admited to Marbut the experience we would have. We are blessed to be part of this family. The teachers and administrative staff are AWESOME. They care about the whole scholar. The Principal does everything possible to engage the scholars as the family. After COVID-19 quarentine our family chose to move our son a private school to Marbut due to the care and concern received. Where the school we wrote a check to monthly had no concern. If academics was my ministry I would want to join this team of great Exucators.

The school has made great progress under the current leader, Mr. Mountain. His decisions thus far have created a rigorous and thoughtful academic experience for my two students. I also appreciate the culture and pride that is infused in the daily lessons and after school activities. We have clear and consistent communication from the school. We also have active parent participation.

Excellent school all around .Marbut creates a safe and very engaging learning environment for my son .The staff is always very polite and welcoming everyday . The atmosphere is very positive and uplifting , the teachers are awesome and i just love how they go above and beyond to ensure that all of their students succeed . I love Marbut because they are very hands on with students academic success and future .Marbut challenges my son to remain studious strong and confident in everything he does I love it here and i will highly recommend this school to anyone in Dekalb who wants a brighter, loving , and successful education experience for their child !

Phenomenal school, Principal and staff genuinely care about the students, their wellbeing and their education. This is my 6th year at this school and I have no complaints. This school is serious about uniforms and discipline as much as education. The culture of the school is so diverse and the principal find every avenue to highlight and expose the scholars to historic facts to help mold their outlook on life and influence their approach to learning. High expectations with the support and tools to ensure success.

I have had the pleasure of having 2 of my children school. We were a part of the Marbut Family for 5 years and I have had nothing but positive experiences at this school. The Teachers and Staff really push these scholars to always strive to be the best they can be. Principal Mountain always leading the scholars with his positive words and speeches preparing our youth for the future. You can tell when someone loves what they do because its reflected in their craft and these teachers here LOVE what they do, going above and beyond in these classrooms despite the chaos going on from the pandemic. We recently moved out of Dekalb and my students have to transfer, it was a tough decision because neither of my children wanted to part ways with the Teachers here and neither did I but we had to do it, but I will ALWAYS recommend Marbut to any parent in the area looking for a school to place their child.

My children have attended Marbut from K-5th grade. The teachers and principle are amazing here! The level of involvement and passion the staff has for the students is just phenomenal. I love the way they promote healthy readers and leaders, and failure here is not an option, literally the teachers and principle will not accept that! This little gem sits off Marbut road in Lithonia its hard to believe all the greatness this school has inside, but this a place you have to experience to know what I'm talking about. So thank you Marbut for being such an influence on my children's future!

My son has attended Marbut Traditional Theme School since kindergarten he is now in the third grade. He absolutely loves his school! The teachers are truly invested in his education and his growth. The administration is open minded and think outside the box to make a successful educational experience for the students. Marbut is committed to excellence. They teach valuable lessons, communication, and leadership skills. I am proud to be a part of the Marbut family.

I have been a parent at Marbut elementary school since 2019. I have had nothing but great experiences and my children love it. The teachers have an open line of communication on a consistent basis. The administration team is always present and responsive. They challenge my children academically and provide support/resources in areas of need. My children can always tell me in depth of what they learned for the day. Marbut also offers school clubs and tutorial services. Parents are given multiple opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. I’m looking forward to the next 5 years of great things at Marbut.

I have two kids that have attended this school and they have grown so much academically. Mr. Mountain the principal is an outstanding leader, he has helped my children through many struggles and obstacles that have come their way. He's not just a principal he's a teacher, he's a leader, and an amazing mentor! The staff is amazing and everyone is there to help your student be their best self. I highly recommend Marbut Traditional Theme School to any parent and child that thrive for the best!

I have visited the school to volunteer on several occasions and was blown away by the staff and the students. I’m sad that I don’t live in the area because I would definitely know that my children were in good hands; mentally, physically and emotionally. I can’t sing their praises enough with the relationships they have with parents and what they expose the students to. I didn’t realize that the school had an orchestra! I’m talking Elementary School students who sound like professionals. I couldn’t help but stand in awe and found out from the director that the youngest students were in 3rd grade! It’s a public school that gives off private school vibes. I visit a lot of schools and it’s very rare that I have principals greet me every time and is present for presentations to see how students respond. Principal Mountain is definitely invested with his staff, students, parents, volunteers and the community. I haven’t found a school on Marbut’s level and I visit a lot of schools! I had to take the time to commend them on a job well done!

This is a terrible school and if I could give the 0 stars I would. This was my son’s first year at Marbut and I thought it would be a great fit for him, but since he’s been there I’ve been having nothing but issues with the schools staff. No one ever answers the phone, his teacher was barely there, my son complained of the teacher kicking his bookbag because it fell off the back of his chair, that she also squeezed his arm because he had something in his hands that was soothing to him. My child was also left outside the school without anyones knowledge. He was trying to get back in but the door was locked. Luckily I pulled up just in time. I asked why was he outside being that he has to past the front office in order to get outside and everyone was confused. I’ve tried to reach out to the principal MULTIPLE times for a meeting but never got a call back. The assistant principal called and tried to gather information and said that the principal would be in touch to set up a meeting, NEVER HAPPENED. And this went on for MONTHS! But on this fine morning I get a call from the school saying my son was in violation of the dress code by not having a solid color pair of shoes on and the PRINCIPAL would like for me to bring him another pair of shoes or he would need to be picked up. Ha! So after all these months it took for my child to be out of dress code for “shoes” for him to want to call me. I went to pick my son up and withdrew him immediately. Do not let your child go here. They are beyond unorganized and do not care about they well-being of your child.

My experience with the school has been that as a vendor. I have witnessed great attention and care being given to each child I came across. The facilities are always impeccably clean and organized. Students and staff were always respectful and willing to assist.

I absolutely love Marbut Theme School. It’s a school that stimulates and supports every child. I like how Marbut works with their scholars. They teach the whole child. Children who attend Marbut are very fortunate!

Absolutely fantastic! This school is everything a parent could want for a scholar. They are focused on making sure students are challenged to become better critical thinkers, writers, and speakers. The standards they set for the children are high, but very reasonable with parent support and active engagement. I find that they are also great at incorporating aspects of culture and history into their academic program. This is missing in many schools today. They communicate in multiple ways with families and this is greatly appreciated. This school is a gem in DeKalb County!
