I think this school is good. But that's at its most. The elementary is nice, great community, didn't have many issues. They now have a separate building for middle school which is great, but the highschool is just meh. It gets the job done. They offer EVIT programs which is nice.

We love this school. From elementary all the way up through high school our experience over the last several years has been great! We would and do highly recommend it.

For all those reading reviews, this school has changed a lot since 2014 when they moved to their new building on Ray and Cooper. It is a very nice facility and does have a play ground in the back. We love that school has a small and intimate feel. Class sizes are small and the teachers really do care. We love Mrs Krueger in 2nd grade! She makes sure all the students are celebrated for their accomplishments and feel loved. She is quick to listen to parents and take care of any problems that arise. Mrs Schildgen, the principal, is wonderful to work with and really cares about the kids. They have an assembly once a month where they rewarded for good character. It is a character counts school. They also offer art, computer, PE and have a Chapel time for parents that want to sign their children up for it. The kids go next door to Life Community Church so this is off campus. Diversity is celebrated and the school is very culturally diverse yet everyone gets along. It is a very positive environment and I feel great knowing my kids are being well cared for.

There's a consistent focus on helping each child perform to the best of their abilities. I've never felt they're all grouped together and taught the same way. The interaction with teachers is constant, parent participation is always welcomed but never forced as in some schools. They emphasize character traits as well as academic ones. The amount of growth our son has shown is astounding and he LOVES learning, he can't talk enough at the end of the day about how much he loves school. Another big perk for us is homework is very realistic, they wisely use the hours while at school to allow children to balance their evening time without hours of homework at young ages. We highly recommend this school to anyone!

The extra care and excellence in academics is so appreciated! Our 2nd grader is ADHD and his teacher Mrs. Krueger and last year Mrs. Avery have created systems to help him focus and cool off when needed. Mrs. Anderson a gifted principal is always ready to help personally with understanding and backup of special needs staff. We are so grateful for such a wonderful loving staff. The cultural mix is refreshing with total acceptance of differences and no cliques..

If you re looking for a Multi Cultural Christian charter school, LEA in Gilbert is great! Pros smaller size classes, more focus and less distractions for the kids, teacher more available to provide one on one support with kids that struggle in a certain subject, teaching methods more flexible, learning/behavior problems are more visible and corrected accordingly, friendly, loving, and involved principle, staff, and volunteers, Common Core Standards, good amount of homework, good amount of field trips, free tutor assistance etc. Cons no playground, needs more after school programs. Overall, LEA has exactly what I am looking for and I THANK GOD for this incredible place. From the parents of 2 EVERYTHING IS AWESOME kids who are going on their 3rd year with LEA (Both straight A students). God is Good!

This twice about sending your children to this school. The teachers, staff and principal are amanzing, but the district office cares more about money than they do the education of our children. The fired 4 staff members 2 weeks after school began. this included the ONLY Kindergarten teacher they had, 1 staff member, and 2 other teachers. They schuffled all of the teachers around to different classrooms, and even combined 1st and 2nd grade so they didnt have to pay for the teachers they already had scheduled into their budget. They are non-responisive regarding the parents' concerns and only care about the money.

Ran into an on going issue with the teacher CONSTANTLY punishing the entire class for a couple kids bad behavior. Tried talking to both the principal and the teacher and nothing was done or even acknowledged in changing the way the discipline was being administered. My child was constantly frustrated and upset. No encouragement and no help with subjects. No thanks!

Leading Edge is the best school I have ever been at. The teachers go above and beyond to help us thrive. They also build relationships with us and get to know us so they can see what we need to succeed. All the students get along great.
