My daughter has gone to Mesquite Elementary for 3 years and we haven’t had any issues. She absolutely loves all of the teachers and really enjoys going to school everyday. She enjoys the enrichment programs (clubs). I love that the principal and front desk know her by name. She continues to visit her past teachers and they love the visits. We haven’t had any issues with bullying. The kids and teachers seem to be very supportive and the teachers are genuinely happy to be there and stay many years. The art, music and PE teachers are excellent as well.. I have been so impressed with how they go above and beyond. You can tell they truly care about the kids. I highly recommend this school! It’s a great community.

I can't say enough positive things about Mesquite! My daughter has attended Mesquite for the past several years, and she absolutely adores her peers, teachers, and staff members there. Everyone there truly loves kids and want to see them succeed. Even the school custodian, Danny Joe, seeks her out and makes her feel special. The teachers she has had over the years have all invested in her by enriching her learning and supporting her in areas she needs to still grow - including areas of social development. In fact, my daughter, still tells me she stops by her old teachers' classrooms to see them and get hugs from them. This warms my heart as a mom. Her reading ability complete took off in the past year, and she loves reading books, billboards, anything! It's exiting to watch her grow stronger and stronger every day. Mesquite offers a variety of clubs and activities that allow students to explore their interests - from Movers Club to Theater to Oceanography! The PE teacher, Ms. Pardy, is the most spirited and energetic teacher you'll ever meet. She does SO much on campus, and she's honestly a superhero in each kid's eyes. I don't know how she does it! The special education team is the best you'll ever find! The school psychologist, Kelli, is patient and extremely knowledgeable. Mrs. Dulberg and Ms. Blanckaert go above and beyond! They collaborate with teachers and parents to find their students the right accommodations and strategies to help their students succeed. Mrs. Norburg moved into a new role as the school principal last year, and she has created such a positive and welcoming environment on campus. We are so glad to have her leading the Mesquite campus now. The front office is welcoming and efficient. Ms. Janine and Ms. Barb are so friendly. If you're lucky, you'll see Ms. Barb dressed up in a random costume at times, which the kids just love seeing! Overall, you can't go wrong with any teacher at Mesquite. I would trust my child in each and every classroom. The teachers are academically strong and focused on doing whatever it takes to invest in their students.

This school is AMAZING! The teachers truly LOVE being teachers. They also have a fabulous PTO that supports teachers and students. Happy teacher = happy student = happy parent

This school is a joke. They offer nothing additional for gifted children in this school and use the gifted children to teach the other kids while the teacher does whatever it is that they want to do. This is the teacher's job to educate and not the students. They publicly shame their students for the smallest of things which includes what they call Community service, these children are not criminals the community service is picking up trash with bare hands for an entire break. Students will be removed and punished and sent out of class for things that did not happen in class. Teachers will gossip and talk about students amongst themselves as well as speak loudly enough and poorly enough in front of the children for them to hear their poor words about the students themselves. The cuddle a crybaby tattletale culture in which they favor the cry baby and never give the other child an opportunity to explain themselves. When the child attempts to explain themselves they tell them to not be so defensive and then punish them for it forcing an apology. When an apology is given they tell them that that's not good enough or heartfelt and make them do it again until they feel that it was an appropriate apology. This is not a prison this is not a boot camp. The principal does nothing to help any of the situations she will smile in your face and do nothing in return the counselors at this school do nothing to help the children that come to them with serious situations that are going on in the home at other parents' houses. Certain teachers will hold grudges and take it out on certain students when their job is to stay neutral and simply educate a child and teach them how to socialize properly Within the classroom environment. I find it amazing that children are forced to apologize to other children whether they are in the right or wrong however when a teacher is in the wrong they will never give an apology. It is pathetic and I highly suggest you do not send your children to this school mediocre education and mediocre expectations create mediocre people and you should want more for your child than that. They favor certain children and when other children bring things to their attention it is blown off or overlooked. The teachers will SAS back at the children when they bring things to their attention and lose composure and professionalism. Some of these teachers including the counselors and principal and need to go back and learn psychology of a child shame on you

Amazing, I am proud that my son goes to Mesquite Elementary. The school is a tight community and there are lots of activities always going on at the school.

I rated the experience a 1. I was extremely unhappy with the teachers and their lack of professionalism. They dismiss concerns and leave children with a lack of confidence. They also have staff that will physically lay their hands on a child.

ATROCIOUS, do not bring your child here! New principal is horrid, offc staff as well as many teachers. They are judgmental & that is disgusting!
