Not a diverse school, experienced discrimination and racial slurs from students, at one point we were ok there because of the staff but ultimately discrimination is unacceptable

They really treat every child like their own family. Teachers are learning the names of the students in grades they don’t teach for personal connections! We were an out of boundary family just for the feeling of belonging! I highly recommend!

We love Settler’s Point! Mr Bircher (principal) is amazing and we love how the staff really cares for the kids and their education! My kid has been there since pre-k and we have nothing but good things to say about this school!

We love SPE!! Teachers and staff are wonderful and welcoming. We have loved all our teachers. Mr. Bircher (principal) knows and addresses each student by name. The grounds and building are clean. The event, family and community involvement are always done well. Highly recommend Settler’s Point!

Excellent teachers, leadership and school grounds. You are always greeting by smiles and friendly faces. Mr Bircher also seems to know all of his students and parents by name

HIGHLY recommend Settler’s Point Elementary! As corny as it sounds everyone has really become like family. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Principal Bircher works really hard to make it a wonderful and safe environment for the kids. He knows ALL of the kids names which is super impressive. ALL of the teachers we’ve had have been wonderful. There’s lots of fun family events throughout the year and tons of ways to get involved. I’ve even moved and happily drive my child across town to stay there!

Settlers Point is the best! The campus is clean and well taken care of and the staff is exceptional! We love every teacher, and especially our principal abs friendly office staff. They excel in academics, and have the best community events. It feels like a real family there!

Not a good school choice. Unless you don’t mind your child being physically bullied, and having their self esteem crushed by administrators. Don’t expect any type of support/communication from the staff regarding education or mediation after your child is assaulted by an older student in the bathroom. You can however expect to be victim shamed.

This school has been a huge part of our Gilbert community. I feel as if the teachers/staff treat each family as family. The parent organization is very active. All really value parent involvement, but don’t demand or expect it.

The leaders of the school need more training and lack the maturity to be objective.

I would not recommend this school to any of my friends with children at the elementary school age.

I LOVE this school! My kids have excelled every year here. The teachers are fantastic and truly care about the kids. My kids have had NO issues with bullying and have formed wonderful friendships. It's amazing to have piece of mind every day when my kids go to school.

My children attended Settler's Point Elementary when Lana Moore was principal. I was very impressed with how she handles everyday situations at the school. When there was a problem at the school she thoroughly investigated the matter until it was resolved and the appropriate consequences were given. I feel she treats everyone fairly and with respect.

The principal, Lana Moore, is refusing to stop bullying. A fifth grade boy is being physically assaulted every day by a fifth grade girl, a girl who is threatening other students. Principal Moore's only response has been to put the students in seperate classrooms, and threaten expulsion if they speak to each other, a threat she has not carried through on, as the girl is still verbally abusing the boy and other students. Why are the pillars of character and bully policy not being upheld, where is the DCO? What about the agreement all students sign at the beginning of the year? Where is the adult supervision at this school? Pairs of students wandering the playground in green t-shirts is obviously not enough playground supervision.

Our family is extremely happy with Settler's Point. All of the teachers that my kids have had have been wonderful and Mrs. Moore provides tremendous leadership. She is involved in every aspect of the school. The PTSO and Dad's Club are extremely active and welcoming and raise a lot of extra funds for the school. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I feel that my children are getting a solid education from teachers and staff who really care about them.

Our kids are in 4th grade and 1st grade at Settler's Point. They have had a wonderful transition from a previous Charter School that was not helping our oldest enough with his IEP. Our son is now flourishing in his 4th grade class and has a lot of support with a resource teacher and his main teacher Mr. Nash, who is awesome. More monitoring needs to be done on kids behavior on the bus, but overall it has been a great experience.
