I have no complaints about the subjects, but now my child goes to basketball training and this is a complete incompetence of the assistant coach, and the head coach has no interest at all until the seventh grade of girls. I understood what the head coach said when he started training these girls, that he would not accept criticism from parents, I understood why, because this coach lives in his own world of illusions and ideas and it is a shame that this happens in a democratic country, I would expect such an approach from a coach in totalitarian countries, but no, this is present here too. Now I will explain everything to you, yes, I think that the parents of those children who are not in the main team will agree with me. That these are children and by choosing their favorites, these coaches ruin the talent of other children, because I am not speaking only for my child. I come to every game and what I see is that only five regular players play, and the other kids play an average of two or three minutes and are put on the bench, but you, dear readers, will probably think that those five favorite players are great, but I hasten to disappoint you that out of that five main team players, only two girls play just great, and the other three just don’t know how to dribble the ball and even rarely catch the ball, and I see how other kids who can do better just sit on the bench. And it’s just outrageous and disgusting that this is happening in this school. I myself am a former athlete and in my country, which is not democratic, I had more chances to make it in sports than here. If you think this is normal, then I don’t. I think that all children should be given equal chances and opportunities, because I see this sadness in the eyes of these kids on the bench, in whom their coach does not believe. I think that such coaches only harm the development of sports in this country, because they do not teach team play, but teach a game in which one player, and all the other players are simply not important.

Before my daughter started junior high I was hearing horror stories, however, the School is great !!! It all depends on the student, if you want to succeed you work hard it pays off. If not, too bad don't blame the school for our failures.

This school is the best! Currently attending and have all "A"s, 2 honors classes and if I keep that up I might be able to join the Jr Honors Society. The teachers care about how you do your work and you succeeding. Couldn't be better.

This is our first year at MJHS and I'm very pleased. My son has done so well, he's getting good grades, participating in sports and band, and loves going here. I especially like that the kids are "transitioned" from 6th grade with a half day field trip where they tour the campus and have lunch. I'm sure it goes a long way towards making them feel comfortable when they start 7th grade there.

Mesquite Middle School The teachers are Mesquite Middle School are all competent and caring teachers. Whenever I emailed them with a question they got back to me right away. They have high expectations of students. I really like their PRIDE program. Before coming to this school, my son was really disorganized. The PRIDE program gets middle school kids ready for high school by teaching them much needed organizational skills. His last school gave him a planner and told him to write down his homework, and of course, that never happened. Mesquite Middle School has the students use the school's PRIDE Planner. It has ample space for students to write homework and classwork assignments down. The catch to getting my son to finally write down his homework? The teachers must initial that the student did in fact write down classwork and homework assignment. The students are not allowed to move on to their next class until it's initialed. There is also appropriate consequences associated with leaving the Planner at home. I feel like my son will use a planner or calendar agenda book next year in high school thanks to Mesquite Middle School's program. Submitted by a parent
