The school administrator are very rude to parents and students . The school has gone down hill . Basically seems to be out of control . If you show any interest in your child academics are concerns you will get push back . They don’t want to kelp nor do they care about your student .

Excellent teaching staff, superb academic and healthy school environment for brilliant growth of a child.

I’ve been a past student and recently I transferred to another school and lots of kids there are very disrespectful and once a kid tripped me on purpose and I couldn’t walk for three days and when I soon returned I realize that nobody got in trouble although knowing who it is they said it was a accident but it clearly wasn’t since the kids were laughing and walked away even one day I passed the guy in the hall and he sounded so happy he even said “hey that’s the person I tripped” while laughing along with his friends and honestly lots of kids judge you and give you dirty looks some students are friendly but it’s not much and I’ve noticed that lots of kids there were racist and targeting me because of race and even the way you dress they also psychically and mentally abused me and now I have to seek therapy from the trauma the school gave me although lots of the teachers were cool and very nice and welcoming some weren’t and so far everyone called me a liar whenever I confronted the school about some of the faculty and I don’t know what school would rather believe a faculty member which has past history of being difficult then a student who has been a target of harassment and bullying I mean only a few people cared and actually reported it and knew it was wrong but the staff didn’t even believe me or care about what the other students said I mean this school made me be afraid and have a whole new perspective on people where I’m scared to be by anyone since I’m scared I’ll be hurt to where I can’t go out in public because of the trauma I had this showed me there’s a lot of bad people in the world and I don’t want the same for anyone who goes there because the trauma I got and how much they gaslighted the situation and sugarcoated it and saying it’s gonna be okay when it’s not and when they aren’t doing anything yes there’s a few nice people and they’ll be nice but it doesn’t overthrow the negative and the people who will cover everything up and the trauma I had when the kid tripped me and I couldn’t walk and I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to walk I had to take so many pain killers to can at least move to sit up and eat food and that didn’t even cover the fact that they did nothing not a warning not even a talk with and it doesn’t cover the fact that the people there will do anything to protect their reputation all I say is to be careful because I don’t want any kid to go through the same thing so I hope they at least make your kids experience better.

Rude, rude, rude staff, especially the front office. They treat students and parents terrible. If you make a complaint they take it out on your child. Hostile environment. Can’t wait until we’re gone.

Front office (Principal, Vice Principal) do the least amount of work possible to collect a paycheck.  Instead of tackling problems (like bullying, drug dealing, etc) head on they occupy their time focusing on trivial affairs.  Punishment is doled out based on the consequence which is least likely to result in a lawsuit or administrative escalation.  Integrity is absent even when proven without a doubt an error has been made.  High charged, egotistical God-complex personalities make for fruitless dialogue between parents and staff.  Students who struggle academically from lower income families are urged to change schools.  With decreased funding due to dropping enrollments and receding confidence in the public school system, the agenda is to purge the under performing segment to boost the cumulative average GPA for the campus.  This boost in GPA is used to attract parents and kids to enroll, which in turn increases funding, resulting in higher salaries.  Do not be fooled by the figures!  Know that if your child struggles academically, GJHS will not put the effort in to help them, they will leave them behind and systematically work to have them removed.  If they cannot convince a parent to voluntarily switch schools, they allow free for all bullying amongst the peers until the child's spirit is broken and desire to continue is diminished.

Want to find out about who is running this school? Just google the current principal to review his behavior and the investigation that followed. The teachers here are quite lazy and put forth no effort as well.

I've been a student here for 2 years and it's the worst school I've attended, the academics are alright, not very challenging and I get easily bored with the classes. The school is super cliquey and there are SO many mormons!! Also there's a lot of bullying going on there and the staff doesn't care much about it unless it gets super serious. I wouldn't recommend going here. The only reason why I stayed here is because I couldn't get a ride to a different school.

My son has attended GJHS for 1 year now, and I am thrilled with it! The principal Mr. Yee is hands on and fully engaged with the students every day, and the teachers are first class. Mr. Yee and the PTSO worked tirelessly to get this school their A+ rating this year, and it is well deserved. My other son will be attending in 2 years, and is excited just by the things his older brother tells him about it. Kuddos GJHS!

My school is great for so many factors it seems to have a wonderful blend of dedicated teachers who care about the students. My daughter is in Avid a program that helps her with her study habits and seems to motivate her to push for more honors classes. Bravo!

Also not to mention that you get "Pride" or 9th hour if an assignment isnt done. IT sucks so if you go there Remember to do your homework no matter how bad it sucks otherwise you will reap the consequenses... 35 minutes in study hall..... I honestly think its unecessary!
