We transferred our kids from our neighborhood school over to Neely because we wanted a school culture that was safe, had high expectations, and that involved parents. Overall we have not been disappointed. The academics are challenging - sometimes the homework load is too heavy - that said, when my son moved on to junior high he was 100% prepared to meet the academic expectations. Our experience with administration and support staff has been positive. The majority of the teachers we’ve had have been wonderful. I highly recommend this school.

Neely may be rigorous but they provide all the tools necessary for students to succeed. Best decision we have made for our children.

I have been a Neely parent for 11 years and I absolutely love this school. The teachers are amazing and truly care about their students. They interact with the parents to ensure the student’s learning and wellbeing is truly a joint priority. When my son moved on and started middle school he was more than prepared academically and was set up for success thanks to the focused instruction at Neely. He is in high school now but he still takes every opportunity to come and see the teachers who meant so much to him. This school is a community in every sense of the word, parents are always encouraged to volunteer in the classrooms and around the school allowing parents to get to know one another and the staff and they have a lot of fun events for the entire family. It has a vast array of clubs allowing the kids to try something they may not have otherwise had the opportunity to try such as coding, gardening, and creative writing. Neely is a school that has excellent teachers that genuinely care, academics that are challenging and will set your kid up for success, and a parent community that fosters a wonderful environment for all the kiddos.

I always recommend Neely Traditional Elementary School to anyone seeking a school committed to every aspect of student development. The teachers are exceptional, genuinely caring for their students' academic and emotional success. They promote a growth mindset curriculum that allows the children to make mistakes, all while learning valuable lessons. I have four kids who have all attended Neely. The curriculum has been great for all of my children, even though each child has a different learning style. Neely fosters a warm, safe and united environment making it feel like family. Their recent Blue Ribbon and A ranking are a testament to how wonderful the school is. If you are looking for a well rounded school Neely is it!

All of our children attend/attended Neeley Traditional Academy from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Curriculum is rigorous, but achievable. Each of our children had different learning styles and some needs - and they were all successful. The teachers and staff are incomparable, and the school is like a family. Our children that have graduated on to junior and high school were exceptionally prepared and stood out over their peers from main stream schools. It is no wonder Neely consistently receives an A rating and earned the Blue Ribbon of schools national distinction last year.

My daughters both attend Neely and we are so happy with everything! Their academics are amazing, teachers do a great job communicating and being involved, no bullying issues. Definitely a community with amazing support! Would definitely recommend!

Neely Traditional Academy is the best! The teachers and staff are amazing. Neely has a rigorous curriculum but the students do not know they are working at a fast pace. Teachers move the students along in such a way that students are just excited to learn! I like the Spalding phonetic program that they add to their language arts. Neely has students from all over the district so Neely has such a great sense of community. Students are willing to reach out to new students and welcome them. Teachers work together to make it such a great place to learn.

Neely is such an amazing school! The staff and principal care about the students day in and day out! My daughters have been at Neely since kindergarten and have grown tremendously in all of their academics! The traditional learning is rigorous and challenges the students to be the best students they can be! Both girls are excited to go to school each day to see not only their friends, but their teachers too!!!We drive 30 minutes each way to Neely everyday! There is no other school in this state I would rather have my children in!

Academics are good- stress in kids to make the school look good is too high by far.

From our experience the staff is kind and seems to do their job well, but the homework amount given is a big downfall. I do not think we will be coming back next year.

The only good thing about attending Neely for the three years we did was the friends we made. That was it.

My kids have been at Neely for the last two years and we have been very impressed with everything. The teachers are just wonderful in general. The front office staff is very kind and helpful. But most importantly, my kids are learning and enjoying it. I have a child with ADHD who struggles and he has thrived at Neely with his teacher's support. It's truly a great school!

Wonderful! My son has been going here since Kindergarten and is now in 3rd grade. Thanks to the curriculum and passionate teachers he is an amazing reader and in advanced math. I couldn’t be happier!

I used to go here years ago. It was good and the homework load prepared me to go to one of the best jr. highs in AZ! I still am top of my class. Their education is fairly good. They reward students for their grades and it is encouraging to do well in school.

Most of our Asian/ Indian friends started enrolling their kids in Basis Schools but we are so happy we stuck onto Neely since the teachers here are really very dedicated in ensuring that the students get an all round development. This year with the implementation of teaching a grade higher math even the education standards have risen up.

I have had 5 children attend Neely. My oldest son who is now 13 has attended 8 different schools. This is our third year and I have several kids who rarely bring home homework and if they do they are done with it in less than an hour. The school has started a club for doing homework with the teachers that they do at lunch. My son tells me that they work on skills for success. The only kids I have who have a lot of homework are the ones who struggle to stay focused. I have been most impressed by the rallying I have seen around the kids who are struggling. All of them dedicate themselves to helping our kids succeed. Mrs. Chilton and several teachers are doing an after school club Shakespearean play for 6th graders. I have been to several rehearsals and have seen the kids developing greater self awareness and confidence. She understands the value of creative intelligence and she makes personal sacrifices so her students can experience it. The parents at Neely are engaged and work with teachers to create a positive learning environment. The parents are always welcome. Sure there is room for improvement they are always looking for ways that they can.

Teaching is consistent and my kids enjoy it. Teachers are very responsive and communicate well. Administration is on it. Kids are down to earth and friendly. Any school has improvements to make. I would discourage over use of the smart boards. For example, I'd like teachers to actually read to the kids instead if having them watch the smart board. That is not helping them develop their listening skills.

My 2 children have attended this school since they were in preschool. Now my oldest has moved on to junior high and my youngest is a 6th grader. I am so glad they spent their formative years there because they are very prepared for the rigorous road to junior and senior high. Spalding, Saxon Math, and subject units in science and social studies planned as grade level teams into structured lessons have given them the foundation they need to succeed in their academic careers. My 7th grader said 6th grade at Neely was harder than 7th grade is! Not only is it a rigorous, structured, and well-managed school, the teachers are caring and friendly to the students. We love Neely!
