VSA has been the answer we were looking for, it is clear they know what what they are doing to move the kids forward and give them the foundation they need for future success. It is hard work for everyone and it shows that they love doing it. Dyslexia comes with challenges but none that are not unsurmountable, VSA is a huge part of the solution. Our child's self confidence grew in the first week, allowing our whole family to appreciate what amazing fit VSA has been for our child. It is one more reason that I love Colorado, we consider ourselves so fortunate to have found a school that is tailored for our child's needs. The VSA model is one that should be available to all kids with dyslexia, while I appreciate being part of this small knitted community, I want VSA to grow so they can share their knowledge with the broader community.

I never knew I could love a school this much. My daughter was so overwhelmed in public school, and even with all the support that her neighborhood school could provide, she was just barely reading at grade level. Once we got the formal diagnosis of dyslexia (we saw it coming and gave her tons of extra support), we knew we had to do something radically different. There are so many great things about this school that it's hard to put it into a review. I would highly recommend scheduling a tour if you have a dyslexic kiddo. They teach the whole child in a way that connects with kids with learning differences. They unmask the intelligence that so often gets obscured in a big public school. Kids are taught how to live in the real world and how to advocate for themselves, stay organized and how to use their different brains to be something special. For the first time ever, my kiddo understands how intelligent she is. This school is amazing - go check it out for yourself. We couldn't be happier with the education our child is getting, and she is so happy here. Highly, highly recommend.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Vertical Skills Academy! Our son is flourishing like never before in this environment. As part of the curriculum our son has a tutor that works with him 1 on 1 daily. She has become a precious part of his life. The teachers are truly the very best at understanding each student and bringing out the best in them. And the leadership of the school is professional, caring, organized and one of a kind. I would recommend this school to any student who has dyslexia. It is a game changer!

We are so grateful to have found Vertical Skills Academy(VSA) for our son who was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia in 3rd grade. He started in 4th grade and at the end of the year he was reading above grade level and he has become a writer! Writing was where he really struggled and he has taken off. The administration, teachers and Orton-Gillingham tutors are amazing with the students and with the parents. The students THRIVE at VSA!!!

The amazing teachers at Vertical Skills Academy provided my daughter with the support she needed to grow academically, socially, and personally. The Orton-Gillingham literacy emphasis in all classes reinforces the reading skills that my daughter struggles so much with. As a result, she is practicing her area of need all day long and it has made a huge difference. My daughter's reading level has improved each year since being at Vertical Skills and she has found a love for writing...this is a kid who avoided reading and writing at all costs before because they were just too hard. She has come out of her shell in so many ways since being at Vertical Skills Academy. I highly recommend this school to anyone whose child struggles with dyslexia.

Vertical Skills Academy has been wonderful for my son. His self esteem bounced back almost immediately and he is progressing academically. I especially like the attitude that success builds motivation. That has been very impactful for my son. All around I give VSA a double thumbs up!

We are so grateful to have found Vertical Skill Academy (VSA). Attending VSA has been a life changing experience for our daughter. The teachers are truly gifted at working with children who have dyslexia and it is easy to see how much they care for the children at their school. Since starting school at VSA, our daughter has blossomed in many different ways - academically, socially and emotionally. We have seen a dramatic improvement in her reading. For the first time in our daughter's life, she is excited about reading. She even choses to read instead of doing electronics! It has been a gift to see her confidence and self esteem grow so much that she now loves going to school and complains if we need to pick her up a few minutes early! She also no longer feels sick before and after school like she had while attending other schools. VSA is a wonderful gift to children diagnosed with dyslexia and their families.

VSA is the best decision we could have made for our daughter after receiving her Dsylexia diagnosis. She has gained an amazing amount of confidence, not only in her reading, but her math skills as well. The teachers have an extensive Dyslexia knowledgebase and expect a high level of achievement from all their students; which I greatly appreciate. We are fortunate to have a school and teachers of this caliber in Evergreen.

Vertical Skills Academy (VSA) has provided an exceptional environment for learning. The teachers understand the challenges faced by students - specifically related to literacy - and make incredible efforts to ensure students are learning strategies and techniques to learn. Over the past 4 months - the level of learning in language arts specifically and in other disciplines generally has been incredible. Equally importantly, the environment that has been created promotes both learning and an appreciation for learning. Development of skills and development of a real interest and appreciation for those skills is beyond anything we have experienced. The VSA team work collaboratively to ensure that all subjects are being presented - and being presented in a manner that supports real knowledge building. The school is not for all students - but for students that are in the target population - I can not imagine a school that could do any better!
