Both my daughters attended the school and I ultimately had to transfer them. The amount of bullying, the inadequacy of the administrative staff and teachers was deplorable. If you have a child with mental illness the teachers will report you to the Department of Human Services and they will take your children away from you.

We moved to Evergreen and picked this school over EHS and CHS. We liked the small size and welcoming atmosphere. After having my kids live in a bubble in our previous school district, it was also refreshing to have them exposed to a wider variety of socio-economic backgrounds. My kids have a challenging schedule with honors and AP classes. My junior is in the business incubator class which is only offered at a handful of schools in CO. Both kids do many sports and have integrated into the school in little time even thought they moved here at 7th and 9th grade. Not as many kids apply to competitive colleges at this school, which will make it easier for those who do as opposed to more competitive/larger high schools. As parents, we have been able to get to know the teachers and administrators easily and feel like our opinions are welcome. The only drawback to this school is that the size prevents them from offering more sports and classes. While I was initially skeptical about the 4 day week, it is fantastic. The instructional time is still the same (longer days and year), but the kids have the flexibility to work, catch up on school work, do sports or go skiing/travel on Fridays. We all love the 4 day week now! This school is a little gem in the mountains. Fantastic facilities at the HS as well. Highly recommend. We are glad we traded our very large uber competitive school district for CCHS. It will allow your kids to thrive and actually enjoy their HS experience.

Clear Creek schools offer small class sizes, compassionate teachers and staff, a welcoming community, new state of the art sports complex, honors classes, special ed assistance, and opportunities for all who want to get involved. Both of my boys went to King Murphy (K-6), Clear Creek Middle and High schools. My boys could have gone to EHS, but I felt they would be more successful in a smaller school. CCHS is a hidden gem!

Great school - my son has access to participate in sports and many other activities. The teachers and administration really care about the students and the small environment makes it seem like a big family.

There are teachers there that are amazing. However, the curriculum as a whole is much easier than any of the schools I have been to. The high turnover is always a bad sign and teachers who are good there either have a student in the school (which is why they stay) or they leave for schools where their talents are more appreciated (likely monetarily). The teachers that remain range from meh to terrible. I would never recommend this high school and any stat that shows it in a positive light is manufactured to appear better than it is. The administration is constantly in turmoil which adds to more confusion. Do not attend here.

Fond memories of time here and the friends made over the years. It is a smaller school where everyone basically knows everyone else in their grade and then some, but students are generally welcoming and friendly, even if you moved in to the district later on. There isn’t the potentially toxic culture of students trying too hard to conform and fit in to be popular or be left an outsider. The cross country team was phenomenal and a great life-changing experience! I graduated well prepared for college.

This school from an outsiders point of view may seem like less than special or maybe even worse than that. It's a small school, that's not the best at sports or in the arts department(s). It has a strange collective of students, despite the amount of students that actually go there. Yes it has it's downs, but for every down, there is an up. Clear Creek has shown me to never judge a book by its cover! Many of the students may have known each other for years, especially since the middle school is connected, but if you're a newbie - they're incredibly open and accepting towards you. There's someone for all types of kids and cliques - and hopping around a few isn't a strange concept either. They're incredibly accepting and the teachers are there for you. For being an outsider, I never really felt left out or alienated. To keep it short, yes they're not in the "Top 50 Schools in The Nation" but the Gold Diggers have pride in who they are and what they do - and that's what counts.

We feel very fortunate to have found Clear Creek High School. This school, located at the top of Floyd Hill, feels like a small community. The administration and teachers are very involved and invested in student success. The small class sizes mean attention is given to every student. The options for extra curricular activities in high school are wonderful. CCHS has a "no cut" policy so every student that wants to participate is given the opportunity. Our daughter is on an IEP and has been supported both academically and socially since she arrived. The faculty and students have been very supportive and have went out of their way to make her feel comfortable and included. She has participated on the ski team and in soccer. In addition she has received much more academic assistance in the classroom at CCHS. Those opportunities, both academic and social, were not available to her in neighboring larger districts. At a time where parents have more choice in schools I would highly recommend considering this well rounded, small school in the mountains.

We have an exchange student from Spain living with us. She thinks the quality of the school is very good and the teachers do a great job. She has been taking care of wonderfully and feels welcome in the community. The communication through emails and website is good.

This school should be restaffed or closed. Get rid of your joke of a cop. None of the kids/parents respect him. Something needs to be done.

The bullying not only by students but also by staff of the district is outrageous. They think they can tell people who and where they can and can NOT talk to people. They don't follow IEP's and they do NOT treat everyone equal for who they are. They choose their favorites and that is the A typical straight A student and the all star athletic students. They say they have bully policies in place and they don't follow them. In "FACT" one teacher said "We don't have bullying here" First sign of denial. The RSO is also the boxing coach and allow HIS students to threaten others with their skills and lets it go. This is the worst district I have ever seen for social and emotional. This is all how I see it with some able to be proven. Do you love your kids? Think about your choices. I do NOT recommend Clear Creek Schools. NOT one of them.

If you really want to know how horrible this school is, just ask some locals! I'm sure they'll have alot of valuable information for you! This is a very unfare school, which does not challenge kids at all!!!!

Clear Creek is a hidden gem. It is located in a beautiful new building off I-70 in Evergreen. Our boys have benefitted from the small class sizes, rigorous curriculum and wonderful, passionate teachers. They are well prepared for college. Plus, they have enjoyed participating in three sports a year. Very warm, community-minded atmosphere.

The new principal is great! The changes in academic offerings at this school and others in the district are challenging all students to become high achievers. The social culture is also much kinder and accepting.
