I love this school and am so lucky to have it close to my home and work. I couldn’t leave my kids anywhere else.

My kid has been enrolled (full day) here since 13 months of age. No complaints from her except 1 or 2 kids being naughty. She gets lots of TLC from her teachers. The school's weakness is education BUTthis school has so many advantages:1. Sports (swimming @ rec ctr for potty trained kids)2. Multiple field trips a year3. Lots of open play/free time, not just 30 mins.4. Lots of TLC from teachers5. They open from 6:30am and close at 6pm6. Several kid programs you and your family can watch.7. They large cubbies to hold all kids' belongings8. They have small refrigerator and microwave in each classroom9. They don't mandate financial donations for fundraising10. They don't treat all parents and children regardless of financial and spiritual backgrounds11. Last but not the least, PSYCHOSOCIAL development is #1 priority. Many parents including myself, want their young kids to have the best education prior to start of FORMAL education. On my kid's second year of daycare, i decided to enroll her on a " formal" school ( for 1 yr only), in which she PSYCHOSOCIALLY suffered. Yes, my daughter has learned so much from this formal school except she didn't get much TLC from teachers. Her former teachers appear to be very distant from the kids. I rarely saw any of her former teachers giving cuddles. At Evergreen Academy, almost every time i drop off, pick up my kid and at any time i go to EA, i witness staff providing much TLC to these kids. The EA staff members act like mothers rather than formal teachers. Last summer, i moved my daughter back to EA and she couldn't contain her excitement on her first day. I picked her up at 5p and she requested for me to go home and returned at closing time. She has been telling to all of our family, friends and neighbors on how very happy to be back at EA. As many psychologists and EA's teachers has said, "Children learn through play."

We experienced various safety issues while attending EA. The staff to student ratio was out of compliance with state rules and regulations, which a complaint was founded by the state in 2015. Most mornings at drop-off, only one EA staff member was present in the building with 10-13 kids of various ages; 2-3 infants in the mix. Student/Staff ratios and other safety concerns such as placing infants to sleep on their stomachs, reusing the same bottle several times during the day, and babies sleeping on unsupported pillows on the floor, were brought to the attention of the director/owner, who became defensive & dishonest after we voiced our concerns. We talked to parents before attending EA, 2 of which ended up leaving within 2 months after we started there. Finding a safe, affordable, and stable learning environment is certainly stressful. The state provides licensing standards and now makes reported complaints and violations available to parents on their website: search for Colorado childcare facility search

This is a wonderful, compassionate, caring environment for my preschoolers. We have been here for three years with two kids, and I think it's great. I don't understand the negative review below, because I have found the administration to be very attentive. I wold recommend this school to anyone.

We left this school in August of 2011. It was the best decision we have ever made. Our Child was being watched by unlicensed teenagers and frequently had full diapers when I picked her up. The management was offensive and rude to us, very unprofessional and unresponsive to our concerns. Additionally, they dismissed our inquiries about a Probationary Status Letter from the State of Colorado by stating since it wasn t my child involved, it wasn t my concern. I would never recommend this school.
