Okay so, I wouldn’t recommend this school. In my opinion it’s not very good and I’ve been at this school before. They say they don’t tolerate bullying when that’s obviously a lie.. they say that “bullying” is a “strong word” and that’s not what’s actually happening, yes I quoted that from a TEACHER at the school who claimed me and my friends weren’t getting bullied. Over all this school isn’t good, and I only stay to be with my friends literally. I wouldn’t recommend sending your kids here AT ALL..

This is probably the best school I’ve ever been to but that’s probably just because I’ve been to some pretty terrible schools in the past. The only thing I really have to complain about is the office staff and nurse because the office staff do come off a little rude at first. All the teachers I have are super nice and do generally care about their students, and the counselors are also really good this year. This is just my personal experience though so I can’t determine if this will be a good school or not for you, but overall I recommend.

Our 6th grade son is having a wonderful experience at EMS! The academics are excellent and he loves the extracurricular options offered, especially the international travel options!

Our two sons were students at Evergreen Middle School from 2012-2017. EMS provided the most thorough educational platform for entry into EHS which then led them to a fantastic college career. We are so thankful for the incredible teachers, administration and staff.

As a parent and community member, I'm honored to share my pride in our Evergreen Middle School students & staff. The social/emotional focus is evident from the staff and leadership--thank you! These mindful efforts bring powerful and positive role models to our tweens and teens and this reverberates positively throughout our community. I'm also genuinely grateful for the growth and emphasis on the instrumental music programs. Watching kids find belonging through supportive music & arts fosters such brilliance. Thank you for all the EMS teachers and staff who dedicate so much time and wisdom to our students and families.

We've been very pleased with the teachers, administration, and school community at EMS. My son is challenged, and his love for learning has continued to be fostered. Middle School can be a difficult time for kids, but I think EMS provides excellent Social Emotional support and listens/addresses issues as they come up. We're lucky to have such a wonderful school in our backyard.

Administration seems to truly care about the students. There is a high expectation on homework and projects. Issues addressed promptly and fairly for all students.

Too much homework! Math 8 was taught by videos to the students. The teacher didn't actually teach the subject. Many of the homework or group projects are "busy work" to pass time. A few good teachers. Many teachers need to get the spark back and realize they are teaching children and our future leaders. Take some time and do your job effectively for the children.

The school has become "another Bergen school". Issues are not addressed. Theft is a problem. Administration denies they have an issue. Teachers openly "scroll on social media" during class. Some teachers have lost their incentive to actually "teach". This school a few years ago stood it's ground and didn't let the parents influence what happens at the school.

I can' even begin to describe the socalist envornment they have created. A student can't begin to talk about the wrongs of the school without being punished for "talking back" and "insulting people," even though the student is just speaking their mind. They have no influence in what happens with their own education. They care so little about the students lives outside of school, for example, having NINE PROJECTS ONGOING AT ONE TIME!!! The workload equates to FIFTY hours a week. I am geting an unhealthy amount of sleep, somtimes less than four hours a night. Why? HOMEWORK! I notice only one other student has rated the school, also being at one star. Even if the school looks good on the outside, its is TERRIBLE on the inside. There are better options out there, make use of them.

While the school may appear good good from the outside, when actually attending, it leaves may gaps in what students need. Their GT program has quite literally ZERO difference from general education, and that too need serious work. In science for example, we "learned" that ice melts into a liquid. THIS IS AN 8th GRADE GT CLASS! It drives me crazy to never learn anything new, and have absolutely NO voice to change anything about it. They attempt to make us feel like we have a voice by making us take a once a year survey. At the end it had a box that would let you type in suggestions. it had a max text limit of only 150 characters! At this point I'm practically self taught. The teachers have you learn the same stuff you learned in THIRD GRADE! That was an actual lesson in language arts. There is also absolutely ZERO respect from students to both teachers, other students, or people out in the community. This is likely due to the lack of respect THEY are receiving from most of the staff, or the amount of work they give to do at home. In the course of a week, I had FOUR HUGE projects due, and only about an HOUR in class to do them. If the teachers have that little coordination with each other, then they have no coordination with the students, parents, or administration.

Excellent new administration. Sixth grade teachers are outstanding and create a perfect bridge from elementary to middle school. They "see" every child and do not ignore those in the middle.

I personally go to this school and before I went a small school were bullying was practically encouraged but when going here I had the best time I met so many great people and definitely stepped out of the box many new activities and great teachers!

Joelle Broberg has taken what used to be an excellent school and created an environment of bullying, intimidation and favoritism. Joelle fails to address parents concerns when students are struggling and fails to hold teachers accountable who don't do their jobs. The kids have NO RESPECT for this administration. If you think a suspension for wandering the halls or texting in class is appropriate discipline, this may be your school. If not, look elsewhere until Jeffco brings in a more qualified team to lead this school.

Very organized staff and administration, high parental involvement, happy kids and amazing teachers. Very pleased with this school.

There is a better choice in the area. Despite, Joelle Broberg's anti bully campaign...the school has serious bullying issues which Joelle refuses to address. Joelle is also guilty of special treatment of children. If you "are someone" Joelle will fall all over herself to do whatever she can to make the parent happy at the cost of the other students. Joelle adopted a child and sent emails to the child's entire school to let everyone "know" just how "special" her child is in the community. Sadly this woman needs to take a step back and realize the earth doesn't revolve around Joelle! The teachers can only do so much with such poor leadership. The class sizes are quite large for middle school! Simply put this school is not the best choice in the area.

This school has taken three years of my life that I will never get back. The staff treats the kids and parents alike like trash, I went from a A/B to a F/F student in one year. When you get down to that grade level they treat you like a convict, even one instance where a teacher dropped my phone (it cracked in the screen) and told me it was "my fault." At the end of your 8th grade year you go Elitches theme park in Denver, The week before we went I had my newly fixed phone taken and they took away my privilege to go and didn't give my $45 entry fee back. Don't go to this school.

This school is the worst school ever they don't teach you anything you need to learn they discourage you they say things like your not even going to make it to the 10th grade they are very unfair I just hate this school and everyone in it besides the students. I do not recommend any parent sending their kid to this school the receptions are horrible they are rude and do not care about the safety of the students. Parents do not send your kids there they will hate it unless they get favored.

Bullying is prevalent at this school - we are returning to the area and chose to choice enroll to a different school. Learned that two other students have moved to new district this year alone because of bullying! My daughter is thriving at Clear Creek this year - VERY happy to have the choice of which school to go to, I will never again go to Evergreen district!
