Our families experience with King Murphy has meet our expectations. We love the small classrooms size and because of this ever kids needs are met. My little one is so enthused about going to school and I think that says a lot about what the staff has accomplished to keep the kids interest. My husband also attended KM and was so excited for our little ones to start here.

King Murphy is amazing! Staff and teachers are excellent. It’s a great school academically as well as a fun, learning environment. Smaller class sizes are wonderful so our kids are not just a number. Incredible mountain views at this school is a bonus too!

This small, mountain school was exactly what our 3 littles needed when we moved from KY. The principal met with us personally and gave us a tour of the school before we made our decision-that personalization helped us make up our minds. Because the school is small, our kids quickly made friends...friends they’ll be in class with for the duration bc currently there is only one class per grade. The IB curriculum has been amazing. Their teachers and principal couldn’t be more accomadating-kids challenged when needed and others given extra help when struggling. We couldn’t be happier with our King Murphy decision!

King-Murphy offers excellent education to happy kids. Teachers teach to the whole child and parents are part of a tight knit community. My children love to go to school each day at K-M!

Great community, small mountain town feel. Parents are engaged. KM did a great job of staying open full time during 2020-2021 school year through Covid by planning ahead and communicating well.

I am en educator at King-Murphy Elementary and I am beyond thrilled to be working at this school. We are a close knit community and staff, with every educator at the school, truly there for the children. The staff is dedicated to making their students' learning experience authentic, engaging, and experiential. We strive to meet our students where they are at, differentiating our instruction to meet their needs. Many teachers believe that spending time in after school activities and families is important, so homework is not a stress for most. Tony Pascoe is a strong leader, working to achieve what is best for our school and community. He is continually researching and seeing what he can do to help out in our classrooms and with our students. We work together to help our students feel safe and respected with adults and peers. When given the choice, I chose King-Murphy because of the atmosphere, families, and support from administration.

I love the one on one teaching for the kids it really is a great experience for them. Always wanting the best for my children, and I know King Murphy is exactly that.

We moved to Evergreen in 2017, and are beyond pleased with our children and family's experience at King-Murphy. When we moved here from Denver, we toured a few area schools, and nothing compared to King-Murphy in terms of a sense of community, as well as teaching/academics. When I toured the school, the principal, Tony, spent close to an hour with me (just me!), answering my questions and talking about the school and the community. The teachers are open and communicative, and work hard to develop relationships with the kids and families. Both of our kiddos have truly thrived at King-Murphy and we're here for the long haul. And you CANNOT beat the setting - quiet, idyllic, with amazing views of the valley.

I would highly recommend King Murphy. The smaller class sizes allow for more individualized learning and attention. It is a great school community. The teachers, principal and staff are wonderful and truly care about the school and each child. My son loves his school!

I am a former King Murphy student and I definitely recommend this school. The small school environment lets your learning be very unique to you and your needs. I also appreciate the attention put into students’ mental health at this school. Another plus is the smaller class sizes allows students to have greater chance for recognition of their talents and achievements. There are also many opportunities for students to interact in extra curriculares. Personally I had many opportunities available for me to build my experience and knowledge such as student council, super school news, and band. One of the most exciting memories I have from my time at King Murphy was when my sixth grade woman’s right’s project group appeared in the newspaper. Overall King Murphy Elementary, was a very positive experience for me. I definitely recommend King Murphy Elementary.

Both of my kids went/go to King Murphy. The curriculum is solid and the principal, Tony Pascoe, is a skilled leader who relates well with the kids. The community of teachers, staff, volunteers, parents, and kids is wonderful. The curriculum is more robust than common core (for example, my kids were taught lattice math in addition to the US standard) and I'm really glad my kids got a great start there. They really offer a well rounded program and an individualized focus with smaller classes.

King Murphy Elementary is an amazing school. There is a dedicated group of teachers who champion their students and a principal who communicates with parents clearly and frequently. My child feels safe and loved every day of school. I couldn't ask for a better community school.

Teachers, administration and students at this school are amazing. The energy the teacher put into working e on one with each student is amazing! I have 2 children who attend this school from kindergarten through 6th grade and every year my children beg to go to school. The academics are top shelf. The genius hour and stem lab have been a great addition to the IB curriculum. My kids have become inquisitive, independent learners who can voice their minds in intelligent ways. This school rocks!

This school is amazing! Our son has gotten lots of one-on-one attention and guidance to ensure he stays on track. We’ve seen a lot of personal growth thanks to the caring teachers and staff. Love that the school has Spanish, music, art and PE in addition to core curriculum. Highly recommend King Murphy!

My kids have been at King Murphy for 3 years now. We have had nothing but positive experiences. All of the teachers we have had so far have truly cared about their students. The class sizes are small, 15ish per class, which I think is a great thing. The students can get more one-on-one time with their teachers. I know 5+ years ago the school had a bad reputation. I do believe the school and the district have made tremendous improvements. Repairs and upgrades are being made to the playground and the building. There is a sense of community at the school. It is a hidden gem in a little mountain town.Also, we have been in person all but 2 weeks of the 20-21 school year so far!!

Excellent. Can't imagine going any where else. The IB program is a nice change to traditional skill and drill that you find at other local schools.
