This school have helped my son and our family when we needed it the most. It was difficult for us to find the appropriate placement for him as we did not want to him to waste his abilities yet, we need the support for socially.

our middle son went to the onsite pre-school and we were very impressed with all the staff that we decided to try Kindergarten for him. We loved everything about how he was learning and how caring and loving all the teachers are. Honestly, what made me the most excited was the small class size of 12 and an aide! I never once felt like my son was being over looked. Meanwhile our older son was in a Fundamental School ... struggling. We could see our middle child was thriving and loving school while our oldest was have a real hard time. We went to the proper channels to get him help and the public school wouldn't do much. He continued to fall behind and be labeled and over looked. We finally said enough is enough and we pulled our oldest from public school. Not sure how the transition would go mid year. But GSLS did an amazing job making our oldest feel comfortable and the transition was amazing! His class is also small with an aide and he was giving lots of attention and help to catch up. He is now getting all As & Bs and back to loving school again! I couldn't be more grateful for finding this school! Now, our daughter is in the preschool and we look forward to sending her to Good Shephard as well!Give this school a look and see why it is so great! Small class sizes, amazing teachers and a staff that cares! What more could you want for your child.

My son loves going to school at Good Shepard Lutheran! He has been attending the school since Kindergarten, after a horrible situation at St. Peter Claver School, down the street. My son has learned so much from the teacher's and staff, and really enjoys going to class. The curriculum far exceeds the standard learning taught at most schools for his grade level. The class sizes are small, and the other children are kind. There is no bullying at the school, as the staff is always present and available for the children. Good Shepard Lutheran provides a strong Christian education, which is demonstrated through their commitment to the students and the extremely friendly atmosphere. I recommend this school to everyone who values their children's happiness and education!

I was an 8th grade graduate from GSLS in 1994 (started in KG) and now have decided to send my children to this school. GSLS proudly adheres to developing the 'whole' child with astronomical successes. The STEM curriculum we've been shown is completely up to date and the music/arts exposure is unlike any around. My daughter loves it! The small class sizes are just one of the offerings that have drawn me back to this school. The teachers are expressively interested in my child learning as best as she can. The quarterly 'formal' conferences are so helpful, but the daily/weekly feedback is what makes me feel like a team. We also take advantage of the before and after school care program. The structured after school program allows my daughter the help she needs to complete her daily homework asignments while she is there. I look forward to having my other daughter start there in a couple years!

We came to GSLS because our daughter was struggling in school. What we got from GSLS was so much more then what we expected, our daughter is thriving, she has come out of her shell. The school has come our second home and family. As they say it takes a village to raise a child, you get that here. The love and support she receives from the teachers and staff helps to build a strong foundation that will help her as she goes on to high school.

My children have been students at GSLS since 2009. I was initially concerned about enrolling because we are not members of a Lutheran church. My family has since learned that ALL children are welcomed here, with open arms, their families as well. My children have thrived in this attentive & dynamic environment and I feel included in their educations. In addition to teaching faith & academics, high value is place on learning to respect others; from authority figures to peers, & of course, the littlest ones. This is a very family-oriented campus where we say the Pledge of Allegiance daily and pray for one another. The staff is experienced & flexible. It's a joy for our family to be a part of the GSLS family!

My daughter started out in public school and transferred into Good Shepherd in the 3rd grade because of the smaller class sizes. The school was so wonderful for her, we put our son there, too, when he started kindergarten. They both love their school, all of their teachers, and they both have made great friends throughout the school. Middle school has been drama free and full of focus on a fun, loving education. My daughter graduates this year and I know her high school success will be due to things like the research paper class, annually required science fair participation, and Christian education she's received. We are so excited to be going to Washington DC in the spring for the 8th grade trip! I highly recommend this school. It offers a beautiful education where children pray and salute a flag daily, teachers frequently communicate with parents, and teachers teach because they love your kids and want them to succeed. I'm looking forward to the years ahead, there, with my son.

Good Shepherd Lutheran School is a phenomenal school. The students receive a challenging academic and Christian education. They also receive individualized attention due to the small class size. The teachers, principal, and staff are all very caring. The children go to chapel every week and they also work in the computer lab. They have a great leadership program and sports program. We are very happy Good Shepherd!

My son has been going to Good Shepherd since Kindergarten. I love the small the classes and the size of school, because as a parent you can get to know most of the students and their parents. All of the faculty and staff certainly know each student by name. The leadership program is wonderful. My son is learning how to give back to his community and to serve others. He plays on the sports teams offered through their athletic program. I love that they still do Christmas and Spring musicals and have added a talent show for all the kids to participate in. As a parent, participating is not a chore, but a feeling of adding to the school and being a part of you child's life. The middle school children are required to prepare research papers and science fair projects. I have heard from alumni that they entered into high school much more well prepared for major projects as these. Also every morning they all gather around the flag to recite their Pledge of Allegiance, hear school announcements and have prayer. On Wednesdays they have chapel where the students lead the worship songs and the Pastors give a short message. I am so glad that I chose to send my son to Good Shepherd.

This school is excellent. My son attended from 4th thru middle school. He was so advanced that he skipped 12th grade when he went to high school. He is a very nice young man. Thank you teachers and staff for all of your attention and caring.

A hidden gem in Simi Valley schools. Small, loving warm, academicly strong. Morals and spiritual development are a large part of the circulum. Christmas and Spring Musicals offer an excellent enrichment and incorporate of the arts, drama and music. Small classroom sizes and lots of individual attention given to students. Teachers parents and principal all work together to make sure each student is sucessful. Both my gifted and talent student and my ADHD student faired very well at this school. Solid reading, math, science, history, and english.
