Tumbleweed is a great school with a very supportive community feel. My first child started there in 2014, and I still have two kids at Tumbleweed. Throughout our time at tumbleweed it’s been an inclusive and positive experience. My kids have all had some really amazing teachers and friends at Tumbleweed over the years. There’s a great project potential program that my oldest enjoyed. There’s also an informative and supportive team in place for my younger children who require an IEP and 504 plan. Those things can be daunting and the school staff has made it easier to navigate and has always been very supportive and understanding of each of my childrens’ unique needs.

I am a teacher & parent here at Tumbleweed of 2, soon to be 3 children. At Tumbleweed we have a family like atmosphere and we try to provide close relationships to all students & families. We’re always finding ways to engage the families in fun and creative ways. I love it here for myself & my children. Our principal Mrs. Gessner is a very personable principal & boss! I am truly blessed to be apart of the Tumbleweed Tiger community!

Tumbleweed Elementary is a fantastic school. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. On top of that the teachers genuinely care about my child's success and growth. I highly recommend and appreciate all the Tumbleweed does.

Tumbleweed is one of the best schools in Arizona. The school is safe and they really help your child if they are struggling. The principal is amazing and she supports the parents as well as her students. The teachers make School fun But also informative. I always like hearing stories throughout the day from my children and how much they have learned. We love, Tumbleweed!!

Tumbleweed Elementary is a fantastic school! The teachers are incredibly supportive, communicative, and always go above and beyond to ensure every child’s success. They make learning engaging, hands-on, and fun, sparking curiosity and a true love for learning in their students. The staff and administrators are just as wonderful—always friendly, approachable, and deeply involved in the daily life of the school. They strike the perfect balance between being welcoming and enforcing rules to ensure a safe and positive learning environment for everyone. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Tumbleweed Elementary!

My child has been attending Tumbleweed since Kindergarten. The staff has always been supportive, engaging, and focused on the success of their students. Their Special Education team is amazing, and as a parent of a special needs child, I feel heard. During our time here, we have been through 2 moves and requested open enrollment both times to keep my child at Tumbleweed. I cannot say enough good things about our experience here! Great school, with amazing staff, and a tight-knit community.

Tumbleweed has and still is school for my 2 kids. My oldest attended from K-6 and even though she suffered bullying from various classmates, the principal there helped her a LOT, she made sure whoever was responsible got the punishment they deserved. I still get to see her because my son is in 4th grade and one thing I can say is Principal Gessner is a hands on person. She listens to kids and parents, she interacts with whoever needs her and is an amazing leader and very kind. I’ve gotten to know a lot of teachers and staff there and the majority of teachers and staff are very knowledgeable and nice people.

Sadly the experience this year have been very disappointing. My granddaughter was assaulted by another student. The school never called me. I found out when my granddaughter told me about it. She needed an ice pack for her sore neck. A teacher belittled my grandchild over her shoe being untied. Instead of helping her or encouraging her she compares her to her grandson. My granddaughter felt bad about herself. Kidspace cares more about their iPad than the safety of the students. Anyone can walk into kidspace. Anyone. They just have excuses.

I have had at least one child here for the last 13 years. My oldest spent all 7 years there and just graduated high school - we moved into the area to keep her there! Ms Gessner has made it through some difficult years with COVID, and she is very dedicated to the children. It is an amazing community vibe here and I would highly recommend them to every one

With the leadership of Mrs. Russell and her team, this school has become an awesome community school. My son is in Kindergarten and absolutely loves school. He is proud to be a Tiger and He's motivated to go every day - and most importantly- loves his Kindergarten teacher. The school offers all three specials (music, art, PE) as well as computer lab. The school also offers free breakfast and lunch. We never have to worry about the nutrition. There is a big emphasis on anti-bullying and showing everyone kindness. We are so glad we chose Tumbleweed over the other area schools.

My son started kindergarten this year, and I have been really happy with the school, the staff, and the teachers. My son comes home with a homework packet with around 2 worksheets to complete per day, along with some reading and sight words. I'm amazed at how much he is learning, and how enthusiastic he is about it. His teacher is amazing!! He couldn't have asked for a better teacher. The school has a very active PTA and Site Council that are constantly organizing fun events. They even have cross-country for the kids from kindergarten age. The principal, Mrs. Russel is a wonderful lady that has always been friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this school, and am very happy that I decided to put my son into this school.

I rate this school a 1 star for the poor, unfriendly front staff that greets parents when they come to the school. Not very greeting at all
