Every teacher at Chaparral gives 110%. Not only are they giving students an excellent education, they genuinely care about each and every student's social and emotional help. All of the teachers go above and beyond, attending events like Trunk or Treat and STEAM night on their own free time. Many students who have moved on to higher education still come back to visit their Chaparral teachers. That is how strong their connections are. The teachers and support staff are why Chaparral earned an "A" rating from the Department of Education.

Chaparral is a great place to be for over all learning and community. We have multiple family events such as trunk or treat, math night, musical concerts. There is always a way to be involved in you students learning. Being a teacher here for 4 years has been a blessing. As teachers we are always striving to be responsive., loving, and understanding. You can trust that your child will have fun, feel safe, and enjoy their elementary school experience! Chaparral was named an "A" school this year and it shows. Scores are always above the district average and top 3 in our district. If your student does need the extra help and push to get scores up the teachers and staff are always there to help and provide resources! Chaparral truly embodies the "all hands on deck" mentality, if you are in need of something someone will always reach a hand out where they can help. I am blessed to be a teacher at Chaparral! :)

This school is amazing! I love the family-like atmosphere here. My kids are well taken care of. They feel safe, challenged academically, and are held accountable for their behavior. The school provides opportunities for enrichment as well. It really has everything!

Love love love this school. Can't say enough about how great the teachers, admins, and staff are. They do so much to celebrate and encourage the learning of their students. They are quick to find solutions and workable plans to help children that are struggling personally or educationally. Everything they do is a pack mentality to benefit the whole and not leave any one behind.

We've been at this school for 4 years now. They work hard to meet the students where they are at. Teachers and staff have open communication with parents/caregivers, are responsive to feedback, and quick to make adjustments as needed. The district as a whole has been up front and open about all aspects of schooling during this pandemic. They have been conservative with their recommendations and kept them in line with best practices and guidance from CDC and State. Homework is minimal and they are focused on getting the students where they need to be without burdening them with piles of homework to do outside of class. Every teacher we've had has striven to make their classroom (and virtual classrooms) welcoming and effective.

I rate this school poorly. They pushed me to get my children evaluated for autism, marked up the answers so they would get the diagnosis. Told me that it would help my kids get the help they need (they were severely wrong). And now one of my kids that is still there has to deal with their bias even though the other one is thriving in a new school. Save your time and headache. Go elsewhere.

This school has been a great for my son and my family, the staff is always warm and friendly and the principal is like no other. He is fun and energetic and has such a positive and encouraging way of getting through to our children. Everyday when my son comes home i am amazed with how much he has learned. 5 stars love this school

Chaparral has undergone great change in the last 3 years. Under the current principal, it has been reenergized and refocused. The teachers are committed to kids, are using best practices and are innovative. The campus is welcoming and engaging. This is a school I am proud to send my kids to. I am constantly impressed with what the principal and teachers are doing to build community, improve student success and focus on all kids.
