Sweetwater Elementary school is a very proud Leader in Me school. I love watching the students use the 8 habits every day at Sweetwater. The best way to describe Sweetwater is as a family school. When you join Sweetwater as student, staff or community member you are Family. All are welcomed here. Every adult on campus works together, synergizes, for the very best of our students. There are many teams and clubs on campus and everyone is welcome to try out or join any team or club that they feel drawn too. Sweetwater clubs are started by students and teachers and all are encouraged to start their own club. The campus is very well maintained, you can feel the love put into the campus from the moment you pull into the parking lot. Be a Leader today the Sweetwater way is not just a saying but a lifestyle choice. If my children were young enough I would definitely enroll them at Sweetwater.

Very caring administration. Safer program is top notch. There are many opportunities for the kids to get involved. Such as sports, theatre, clubs.

This is our third year at Sweetwater! We have been extremely pleased with all of the staff, the principal, the curriculum, etc. You can tell that they really care about our kids and their future. Upon walking onto campus, everyone treats you like you're family. We wouldn't choose any other school in the valley.

We moved from out of state and were welcome with open arms from the administration. I had a lot of questions and they were so patient and kind. This school is a Leader in me school so the follow the 7 Habits of highly effective people only it’s tailored to students!!! They really set the students up for success in the real world, I feel like my son is learning to problem solve and relate everything back to personal accountability. They have an A rating, low class size and so many extra curricular activities there is something for everyone!

The school is okay, but I would not recommend it. There are some great teachers that are very kind and thoughtful towards my son. But, there have been many times where my son has told me about how he has been bullied. The workers who look after the children during their recess period do not properly look after the kids. My son has been cursed at multiple times and bullied for his race, which is not okay. The staff does not do anything about this which is extremely upsetting and unprofessional for not taking action whatsoever. He has been discriminated for the way he looks and the other kids say that he brought COVID-19 which is absolutely ridiculous. I have tried contacting the teacher but she has not responded at all. My son has also gotten food poisoning for the moldy vegetables, which he had to go to the nurse's office for and I had to schedule a doctor's appointment.

Sweetwater is an amazing school. Between moving and being re-zoned to new schools (in other states) due to new build, this is by far the most supportive school we have yet to attend. By far I would choose Sweetwater over them all. My children are happy when they come home. They are learning life skills and improving academically. We feel at home here.

Great if you're white, have two cars, and normal work hours I'm sure. But if you're in an a-typical situation, expect a lot of judgment cast on both you and your children for it. Staff is professional and kind during enrollment, but after that, if you look close, it's clear your children are just props for funding.

School adminstration does not follow the district's bullying policies. Some teachers ignore problems in classrooms. Less that adequate communication with some teachers. The curriculum seems to be behind other schools in area and online.School itself if antiquated and lacking basics like a gym, etc. After school pick up of kids is a zoo. Sports programs are below other schools in area and district. Very few electives.

This is our first year at Sweetwater and I couldn't be more pleased. The principal Luanne Herman is receptive to parents needs and always maintains an open line of communication. She has a great rapor with the kid's and they come up and greet her as if greeting a friend. The office staff is absolutely super. The two ladies who work the front desk are two of the most helpful and kindest ladies. The sixth grade teacher, Mr.Basista is literally the best of the best. He's very supportive towards his students and keeps the classroom full of lightheartedness and laughter. Sure the campus could use an updated look and appearance, but this school's staffing makes up for it!

My daughter has been here a year now and we really like it so much better than the "charter school" we came from! Keep up the good work Sweetwater! =)
