I've had very good experiences here at this school. I've worked for this school for over a year and a half now, and I absolutely love it. The teachers are great and really care about the childrens' education and well-being. The social worker is very kind and helpful. The school provides the appropriate support and accommodations for students with disabilities. The principal is always going out of her way to help the students, staff, and parents. I would definitely recommend this school to others.

I have two children who attend Sahuaro school, one is in his 8th year on campus, the other just graduated. My children have had direct daily experience in programs from special needs preschool, to project potential. My students love this school. The teachers are caring, kind, and thorough. The safety of all students and staff are very important. It is my and my students' impression that Sahuaro school continues to improve each year. I would highly recommend Sahuaro Elementary School.

It is my daughter's first year in Sahuaro, so far we are very happy with how she has been developing in her learning.

This is my second year being apart of the Sahuaro PTA and both the school and the organization work closely with one another to keep programs and activities available to all students at Sahuaro. This year I have been working closely with the principal, teachers and school staff its amazing to see that all the staff members work so hard to create a fun, safe, and motivational environment for all students on campus. There have been so many recent improvements on campus and in the classrooms, and the PTA Board has been working hard to keep existing programs running on campus and offering new ways to create more events and family inclusive activities every month. It's exciting to be on this side of education were you get to see the spirit of Sahuaro in action.

I have been a parent at Sahuaro for almost 11 years now, as my oldest moved on my youngest started. I will say that Sahuaro has grown a lot over the last 4 years. Both of my children are/were apart of the Gifted Learning Center. While my oldest had very little struggles with friendships and learning my youngest began to struggle in both social aspects and learning. With open communication and the support of school staff we have been able to get him extra support with 504 plan and this year he is continually improving in all areas - both in school and at home. I am so appreciative of all his teachers and all the support staff on campus.

Former principal was mean spirited and a bully. Did not know the meaning of compassion

Leadership did not take accountability for anything that went awry on their watch. They lost my son, who is an iep student. They failed to provided the supports stated in his iep. When this was brought up it was shrugged off with excuses. District was also no help. They only seem to really care about the gifted program. If you don't have a "gifted child" just stay away.

I would rate my experience as inadequate.

I feel the years spent at this school were a huge waste for my children. Switching schools was the best choice we have ever made. I would avoid this school at all costs especially if your child has ANY difficulty in ANY ways.

Great self-contained program for highly gifted. The principal is very friendly, welcoming and visible on campus. My three children currently attend and we are happy with their education at Sahuaro.

I am a mother of a student of sahuaro. i have to say that these days I am more dissappointed in the fellow parents of students rather than the school. Last year it was proven to me that parents are looking to blame the teachers and the school rather than hold there own children accountable for there actions. I personally respect the teachers at sahuaro and believe they are doing a fabulous job in my daughters education. I had a young student last year in my daughters class that taught her profanity words and the teacher not only notified me but in my eyes took the proper steps in acting on the situation. The parent of the child who cursed blamed the school and the teacher as if they taught the words to the child. Children act from there direct contact and what they learn at home. My daughter has learned and grown so much with sahuaro and I would never change schools if I didn't have to. I would suggest that they attempt to have high school courses so that I know my child would recieve the best education even into her more promenant years. I like the way they teach my child and look forward to the same education for my son. I believe in the RTC program and trust our school.

For any first grader requiring discipline the RTC program is a joke. The child is removed from the classroom and sent to another room where they are told to write a plan detailing what they did wrong and what they will do next time to avoid trouble. Sounds great and sounding great must be why it is used but after 30 such days some where our grandson was sent MONDAY because of a Friday incident he showed no signs of changing. The principle told me 'some kids get it and some don't get it.' Then we find out that several kids at a time could be removed and sent to the responsible thinking center. We now have another address to use so we will not be subjecting our student to this idiocy any longer.
