Definitely would not recommend this school, most of the staff is rude and unreliable.

This school is finally getting life back to it. As a teacher at North Pointe, it is incredible to see the sudden changes that started happening after February 1, 2019. I genuinely wake up excited for work every single day. The students and staff are the best of the best, and our extra curricular programs (sports, arts) are getting better and better.

I am a former teacher, who returned the last few months of the school year, after the administration change, and very happy to be back! Teaching and coaching at NPP from 2006-2014, I witnessed and experienced myself the poor treatment of teachers, staff, and students. The former principal/asst. superintendent treated everyone employed at Pointe Schools as though they are incompetent. The school lost very "competent" teachers/coaches/staff members/students because of this person. Thankfully those that are still employed at Pointe Schools and students who still attend these schools, will no longer have to experience this. We are now in the post-Gow era, where everyone will feel valued again and the schools can grow to their full potential! Parents can now feel comfortable in sending their children to NP, knowing that your child is respected and will be given a great educational experience.

So far, I am loving it. I started teaching here in January right when the change of the administration happened. I was terrified as to what I had just gotten myself into. Already, I notice a huge difference in teacher and student morale. I am looking forward to seeing how NPP grows and where it soars to from here!My daughter will be so happy here. She is an honor student and loves acting, dance and music. I chose this school as I think it is perfect for those who may be potentially bullied in other schools. She is a tall girl who is very self conscious and sensitive.

I am a teacher at North Pointe and have been for 7 years. While the last few years have been a roller coaster, it is clear a new dawn has finally emerged from the dark shadow that had lingered so long over the school. Students and staff feel valued and listened to by the "new" administration (which is not new, Dr. Williamson founded the school). This has been the impetus for real, positive change. North Pointe is getting back to basics. With committed teachers, students and families there is a lot of promise to return this school to its core mission: providing a quality, well rounded education. Well rounded entails maintaining and rebuilding our athletic, arts and activities programs to supplement our academic goals (rather than depress them, as was experienced under the old regime).I love North Pointe. Every school has its challenges, but I feel confident that we are now under a leadership structure that will 1. continue to prioritize the safety of students, but also 2. legitimately care about the individual students, families, teachers, and staff that make up our Pointe Schools community. As we end this academic year, I can honestly say I am excited for what the next academic year holds. Teachers, students, parents all have a voice now. That is what makes any school "our" school. And I, for one, am happy to be able to keep working with such wonderful students, families and colleagues.

I have been with this school for a very long time. I am excited to see the changes. I am hopeful that this school and administration will continue to grow and become the amazing place that it has the potential to be.

Teachers and staff are useless. Rarely call back, trust children to inform the parents of disciplinary actions.

students are unappreciated. i do not recommend this school what so ever. there is no forgiveness if you mess up once. this school does not get parents involved, parents are not even allowed on campus ! i have had horrible experiences at this school and i will not be attending again. administration does not take care of big issues.

Maybe I was spoiled at a Jesuit school, maybe I expected more as a PTA President. This school has no PTA. They simply do not care about parental involvement or suggestions. I could go on and on - but it is embarrassing. On a school trip the so called adult chaperones FORGOT to give my child his daily meds

North Pointe was locked down on 2/23/2018. My child is a student there, but I was not notified, and when I called to find out more information, I was told everyone had left for the day. The Administration makes it very difficult to communicate. I had hoped this would change when the new principal came on board, however I emailed her on 1/9/2018, and still have not received a response.

Extremely negative administration. Many violations last school year 2016-2017 by the Arizona board of Education for noncompliance. The United States department of civil rights found the administration to be retaliating against the students disability.Students Math and English are below average. Be sure to check their Az report card.

As a parent, I have seen that the administration could care less about actually helping the students or meeting with parents when we have issues. Our child was accused of something from another student that has been harassing our child and friends since the beginning of the school year. Even though it had been reported several times, nothing was done to this student. When our child and friend was accused of an unbelievable story from the same student that had been harassing them, at our first meeting they informed us that they would investigate and then informed us that they PAY students to tell on other students!! I don't know what they expect when they actually PAY Junior High Students to tell on other students? Sounds to me like a perfect opportunity for kids to make things up to get extra cash in their pockets! The Administration in this school is horrendous!! They won't take appointments even if you request one. The Secretary is rude and blows you off as much as the Principle does. I would not recommend this school until they change out the administration to ones who actually care about the students and are willing to talk to parents when there are concerns! Right now they refuse to transfer you to voice mail unless they are expecting your call. I've never seen such a disrespectful uncaring administration in any school that we've ever had our children in!!

This school is horrible and is ran by a man that has no tolerance for kids. He rather suspend kids and remove them from class than help them, counsel them, and teach them if they make a small mistake. Suspension is the ONLY form of dicipline. There are no warnings. My son has always been the quiet kid who never got in trouble until now. If you want your child to grow in their confidence and be all they can possibly be I would not send them to this school where they make up their own rules, consequences and do not follow any standards. Not to mention my kids have hardly had any homework and I have never seen so much teacher turnover in one year! My child's "honor" classes Have not been challenging and both of their study habits have declined due to lack of homework. They make the school look good with all the activities but there are silly rules with that as well. They had the Phoenix police that work for the principal search my daughters belongings with parental knowledge looking for someone else's Iphone, which they eventually found somewhere else.. no apology or comment to us as parents regarding the incident either. They also limit the activities and put restrictions on doing art and sports. You cannot do both st the same time. Where as most schools encourage as much student involvement and work together as coaches/teachers. Lastly, they do not encourage parental involvement within the school. The principal wants it all done his way there is no reasoning, or talking to him. Also he is Very insensitive and has terrible people skills. I would strongly advise anyone looking into this school to look elsewhere.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT send your kids to this school. Communication is terrible, my child is in honors and doesn't even feel challenged, they NEVER have homework, if you want to talk to someone there forget it. They won't even put you through to voicemails unless you are someone they were expecting a call from. I don't even know how they function as a school. I am only holding out until the end of the year and then my kid is going to public school. This has to be one of the worst charter schools in Phoenix. It is a joke. I can't think of any other way to describe it. On top of that everything is a party to them. I get that kids should have fun, but give me a break. If every senior here gets some kind of award aka "participation" trophy, they are only adding fuel to the fire of a horrible epidemic in our society now of younger generations and their sense of entitlement. It is a disgrace.

My oldest child is now 25 and went to the neighborhood public school assigned to our home address. I won't go into details about that experience because I get emotional I will just say that I will regret it for the rest of my life. I have been a law enforcement officer for 17 years and I know how important environment is for learning. My youngest child started at Canyon Point and has been at North Point for years. This charter school has been an answer to my prayers. The diversity of the student body is healthy and the kids learn from the friendships they share with each other. The staff are all professional and the faculty maintains order and structure of the students as they learn on a clean and safe campus. All schools require the assistance from substitute teachers and N.P. is no exception. The subs are all qualified educators who fill a temporary need and they do it well. God willing, this school will provide many future leaders, healers, defenders, protectors and teachers.
