This school has a great staff and teachers that are very caring of students. Their main focus is to prepare middle school students for high school and also lessons of life. Before I came to Imagine, I went to public schools but their discipline and education were much lower than Imagine's. When I graduated here, everybody in my grade graduated with me, none flunked. Also, a majority of my classmates left Imagine with a grade percent average of 90% or higher. I now go to a college preparatory high school well prepared with what my teachers have taught me. If you are considering enrolling your child into this school, I would highly recommend it.

My primary concern in taking my child to a charter school was the school atmosphere and discipline. I have not been pleased with the discipline in the public schools. CortezMiddle School maintains a learning environment that keeps the students focused. The students are given the opportunity to interact with their peers in a manner that does not detract from their education. Teachers seem focused and willing to go the extra mile to educate the students. The success of the students is due to the successful teaching and environment created by the staff, and that includes from the personnel at the front desk, to the adminstrator offices, the certified staff, the classified staff, the kitchen staff, and the custodial staff. Cortez is a clean school.

Imagine Cortez has a wonderful staff. We have 4 children in this school. We recently adopted three of these children. All 3 were academically behind their grade level when they came to us and we knew it would be a challenge no matter what school they attended. As parents, we had no prior experience with charter schools and were hesitant to enroll them. As it turns out, this school has a fantastic staff that work well together. Their team concepts of teaching bring unity to the academic methods without the students even realizing it. The teachers are eager to help individual students whenever asked. We have had a couple of scenarios where we requested meetings or special assistance for our children and both the teachers and the Principal were very productive in our childrens succes. The teachers also do not hesitate to contact us as parents when the need arises. We also have a straight A student that they have made special arrangements to challenge her to keep her focused on learning and not turn stagnate. There is a positive environment with emphasis on learning. They promote proper respect between students as well..just an extension of what a family unit should look and act like.

I have 4 children at this school. My kindergartener begs to go to school. She has an amazing teacher! Mrs.Scala obviously loves her job. She has helped my family in ways she will never know! I recently went through a divorce and we were going to move closer to my family. I do not want to move because of this teacher! My son is doing amazing academically and socially. I can not say enough about Mrs.Scala. I am truly a grateful parent!
