Sunset is a great community school with wonderful teachers, enriching activities and a responsive administration.

We have been going to Sunset for 4 years now and my children are very happy. They have been thriving in public school, and every teacher we've had has been so kind, supportive, and easy to communicate with. The new principal is active and involved. I do wish the school had a music/band program for the upper grades. But as a parent, I am happy that my children enjoy school and learning here!

I would highly recommend Sunset. All teachers, administration, and staff truly care about every student, every day.

Sunset is an amazing school. All of the staff and admin are so kind and supportive, and it feels like a family there. Student needs and progress are so important to all the staff at Sunset. Everyone there genuinely cares about the students and their families. It’s an incredible place to be.

I would give the school a zero if it wasn't for the fact that I I have no vehicle and I cannot get around I would have moved him a long time ago The Bullying is so bad my child doesn't want to go to school anymore the educational part of it half of them will just give them a booklet or make them read instead of actually giving class instruction. They Don't Really spend enough time when they notice a kid is failing but has all their work turned in they just let them continue to fail so then when you have a parent-teacher conference they are like your kids failing well what are you guys doing because I'm doing everything in my power at home to help my child succeed but it seems like you guys are not. A child should enjoy school and enjoy learning mine used to he loved it more than anything now he doesn't want to go to school anymore one because he doesn't learn anything he doesn't get the help that he needs and he's in fear of his life every day he goes to school.

This school has been great with the kids. Seems to genuinely cares about the kids and works to help them. The Principal takes his time to talk to the parents and kids. The teachers are amazing and very compassionate, yet I have seen them be strong to stop bullying and bad behavior.

I love this school its the best school my kids have been going there since my oldest started at 5 years old. Both my girls graduated from Sunset an A+ indeed. We still go visit the teachers now that my kids are no longer students there. Love them.

A+ school. We have been a part of Sunset since 2008. Our oldest graduated sunset early this year and has moved on to 7th grade. As a family we made the decision to move all 4 of our children to a school that was K-8. Thinking it would be easier on our family with our busy work schedules. Boy were we wrong. We had multiple horrible experiences at the other school and after 3 months we can finally say we are back at home at Sunset. Ms. Patterson was thrilled that we were wanting to bring back our 3 children and got the ball rolling for our move over very quickly! Happy to say they are back in school today and we are so excited. Thank you Ms. Patterson and teachers for making room for our babies. We are so grateful and ready to enjoy the remainder of the school year!

Sunset School has great teachers who really care for their students. After kindergarten, the number of students in a class is a bit much. Kindergarten has 4 teacher, then after until 6th grade only has 3 teachers per grade.

I like the teachers they work hard to keep the student motivated and interested in their education, I like just about everything about the school except some of the rules. The kids can't even be kids without getting into trouble and that is not the biggest issue the school will not bend the rules to suit the situation but they will bend the rules for their own convenience and that is not right. I want my children to grow up in a safe bully free environment but at this point it is almost the schools policies that are making the teachers bullies and that is a shame especially for a school like Sunset.

The school is excellent. The entire staff works hard for all the students. I refer in particular to the principal Ms. Patterson, who sets the tone for her school. She is first-rate. Our daughter attended Sunset for 2 years and had a wonderful time. Thanks
