Frontier Valley Elementary in Parker is such a wonderful place for kids to learn. The principal has done an excellent job creating a safe and positive learning environment for the students. It says something when there is very little turn over of staff...the adults know that this is a special school. Our kids are happy, they are growing academically, and we are happy too! Also-the PTO does an amazing job with community events! We wouldn't want to send our children anywhere else! I wish I could give a higher rating. :)

FVE is the best! The school is welcoming and supportive. This school has very little teacher turn over, which is a direct result of the excellent leadership and community. Our student is happy and loves his teachers and principal! We love our neighborhood school!

Frontier Valley is hands down the best elementary school! I love the Administration. Mrs. Hall has worked hard as the principal of the school to improve all aspects of the school. The atmosphere is welcoming and kind. The students are lucky to have a dedicated and stable staff. The school is beautiful, so many positive things to share...I'll close with the school is definitely the heart of the community.

This is the BEST school in Douglas County. The teachers are exceptional, and the admin is so supportive of all in the school. This is a wonderful community, and it doesn't get any better. This school is a 10 out of 10!

My nephew is being bullied because of the color of his skin! Administration isn't doing enough to stop it.

We moved to Parker three years ago from an elementary school rated a 9 on this site. I would pick Frontier Valley over our previous school hands down and don't believe the score for FVE adequately reflects how good this school is. The teachers are communicative, the administration is responsive and supportive, and my children have thrived here. Even in the midst of Covid, my daughters (2nd and 5th graders now) have exceeded our expectations in their learning. Their teachers have been kind, loving, supportive, and very reasonable in their approach to homework (generally 20 minutes reading and some math practice, occasional projects). Each year, our teachers have kept us well informed on areas the girls needed to work on and provided opportunity for extension activities for our daughter who is academically capable of more. There are ample extracurricular activities, Battle of the Books, Choir, Kids stage, etc. Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Pursley in administration are wonderful, responsive and open with parents who are invited regularly to participate in a school advisory committee and kept up to date on plans and funding for the school. The staff are exceptional. I have some experience with the speech therapist on site and am very excited to have my son working with her next year in kindergarten. The school emphasizes character traits like honesty, kindness, respect and dedication in every classroom. When we moved here, my oldest was in first grade and was welcomed with open arms, a little buffalo stuffy, and made three friends on day one. Deciding where to live, I spent hours researching schools. Reviews here convinced me to look past the score above and put weight into factors they cannot measure. This community and the teachers at this school cannot be beat. Frontier Valley is a 10 for us.

I would rate FVE a 10 out of 10, we would't want to send our child anywhere else in DCSD!

Frontier Valley has been such a great experience for our daughter. She has grown so much as a learner. This is definitely the best fit for her academically, socially, and emotionally. Her needs are being met by the most amazing teachers. Mrs. Hall has made Frontier Valley a warm and loving environment. We are so happy with Frontier Valley!

Our two daughters are open enrolled here and we have found it to be wonderful for them. The teachers are great and go above and beyond to inspire our daughters' learning. The staff are all very welcoming . You can feel that the kids truly care about one another. We did have an issue with another student, and the teacher handled it really well to resolve the conflict right away when we brought it to her attention. What makes this school extra special is the community involvement. We believe our daughters are in a very safe school both physically and emotionally, which is really important to us.

Frontier Valley is the warmest and most welcoming school I have been to in Douglas County! Everyone is always smiling. The staff and leadership is outstanding. We can’t imagine taking our kids anywhere else!!

FVE is an incredible school! They have teachers that truly care about their students' learning, as well as their emotional well-being. They know how to adapt curriculum due to the variety of needs of all children. My son is much happier at FVE than his last school.

This is the BEST school we have had our children attend. The school has a positive feel as soon as you walk through the doors. Everyone is so supportive, we are very happy with our neighborhood school!

The curriculum seemed very basic, and the administration and teachers allow the students to disrespect each other, and the adults. They do very little to prevent bullying. We switched to a charter and have been so happy with the difference in overall student behavior and the more advanced curriculum.

I have 3 boys at this school, and not every day is perfect with boys for sure, but the staff here has always worked with me and been supportive and caring of my kids. Mrs. Simpson in 3rd grade is absolutely amazing!! and the IEP staff really care! Such a change from our last school in CA!!
