This school gave me big PTSD because kids would spit in me mouth and vap in the bathroom stall. They hurted me until i crie and gave me the big mental breakdown :(. If u want ur kids to get traumas then DO NOT go here.

Why this school is so amazing well first of with someone with disabilities I always get the help I need, I should also mention that all of the people there are kind. I also get that some people can be me but they always get help they get a punishment but not that harsh. Most people that are leaving one star is just because they think it is funny even though this school is so amazing I am currently in 7th grade there and when ever I go out of my pod the school is always so so clean I also get to make more friends then my old school even though the there was more people.

Teachers yell, don't teach well, and students aren't learning. If I could give this school a zero out of 5 stars I would. Absolutely horrible. Having teachers who hate children and teaching is absolutely unacceptable and horrible. I have now had two kids at this school and I wish we had moved away to avoid this horrible place.

Don't bother. The principal never emails students back. The mental health department is a joke and actually made my child have more anxiety not less. They kept telling her if she was organized she wouldn't be anxious, but she was a straight a student and is organized. They have no clue what they are doing there. The teachers are constantly yelling at the students. You need to keep your kid away from this school at all costs.

Cimarron was an awful experience from straight up mean teachers to the lack of care and guidance. the staff just doesn’t care about the struggling students

We love Cimerron. The staff and teachers are amazing and care about the learning of their students. Thank you Cimerron teachers, administrators and staff.

The Cimarron team really cares about students and families. We moved from another school just before 6th grade and my student had a great experience and felt welcome. The pandemic has made some parts of the last 2 years a challenge, but the team always cared and reached out when my student was struggling. Back on track now and the support at the school level made a great impact on my child and feels like a partnership. The teachers, the support team, and the families truly are a community.

An honest review, written by an 8th grade student at Cimarron.Homework:The homework is fair, and I understand how it helps us learn, but it could be better. The homework is the most tolerable of these categories.TEACHERS:Some teachers are amazing, and I love being in their classroom. On the other hand, I tend to wonder how this many questionable teachers teach at this school. I got lucky with my teachers this year, but I can't say the same for many other students.Leadership:Oh boy. The leadership at this school could use some work. I am not by any means discrediting our staff, some do an amazing job. But the way the school's issues are handled isn't great. Every time another student or I tried to file a complaint about an issue in a mature, respectful manor, our opinions and views were dismissed, and the issue was never resolved. Sometimes I feel as If the complaints we send in aren't even looked at, and that they are just thrown away. A change in leadership values and qualities would be nice.Character:I can't help but laugh looking at this. Integrity? Compassion? Respect? Never heard of them. Not here, at least. I feel as if walking through the hallways during passing period is a gamble for my safety some days. Respect is rarely ever given to me by the teachers, and how the students treat the staff is even worse. The behavior disgusts me, and the excuses don't add up. I know that it is entirely possible for this behavior to change, as I have been to schools where respect was a thing. This may be a Leadership problem.Learning Differences:It's not great, I'll tell you that. The students that excel in the classroom are held back to meet the other student's needs, and the students who struggle are often ignored. This needs to be fixed.Bullying:The amount of tolerance for bullying is overwhelming. I see and hear it at least 4 times a day, every day. I have counted. Every time I file a complaint, nothing gets done. The worst punishment for these students I've seen so far is a 2-day suspension, but right after they returned, they continued the behavior. The staff have no idea how to manage the students at this school.I would also like to mention that the school doesn't deal with student's mental health and causes more harm than good in this area. I can say with confidence that at least 50% of Cimarron students struggle with their mental health, including myself. Way too many kids at this school are suicidal for it to be considered a 'safe place' :(

I went to this school and the principle was the biggest issue that I had. Guy treated kids like they were 5 years old and did not create relationships with them. Teachers and such were OK. Of course there are always bad apples. Middle school just sucks in general though .

Atrocious. Their handling of a racial and bullying issue was more about protecting the schools' reputation than the student whom was impacted.

Excellent! Both of my children have attended or are currently attending CIMS and both have found many ways to get involved. They both needed advanced courses and were successful across the board.

I would rate my experience with this school a 4 or 4.5

First years when there was another principle good but now horrible. If you can take your kids to another school do it!!!! This school will just make your kids hate school. They aren't allowed to use their phones at lunchtime unless they go to the Nokota pod and then with the amount of time they get to just be kids and talk and text and just distress they have to disturb another classroom setting because they can't use the phones while eating their lunch in the main cafeteria.

Dreadful. The results are well under par for a school with a mainly affluent intake and a majority of well educated parents. They are just coasting along.

I honestly can't say enough great things about Cimarron. I have had one student fully go through this school and have 2 more attending currently. the support given to the students is wonderful, both those with high levels of achievements, and those who struggle. Chris Zimmerman has been wonderful in working with us to help our children who struggle in thinking of "out of the box" solutions to their issues. I love the school's "BE RED" character building program as it inspires students to succeed personally as well as academically. Each pod and teachers we have associated with have been wonderful advocates and supporters of my children's education. I'm sorry to read all the negative reviews about this school, because as no place is perfect, many of the issues cited are found at every school and not this school exclusively. Whenever there has been an issue, the administration has been responsive in a timely manner and very open to hearing all sides of an issue and discussing needs to address concerns. So thankful we are at this school!

I have lived in Parker for over 15 years and I've always heard how the schools here were racist. As a result, I hoped that I would be in a position to move out of Parker before my kids were old enough to attend and unfortunately, I did not get the chance to do so. Now that my child is in middle school, the racism is more prevalent at Cimarron and not just among kids, but the teachers too. They single out children, label them, make comments behind their backs and inadvertently encourage the kids to do the same. For two years I have given this school the benefit of the doubt and now that my child is in their last year, the sheep's skin has been shed and is showing the wolf inside. My child is on their way out and they do not have to be nice.

Every single day I am forced to drag myself to this prison of non-conformity. Change is unwelcome. Learning and growth is unwelcome. The only "activities" we do in this school are mindless and repetitve, requiring no skills or brain power. The school has a sort of system that leads students to believe that all that matters is the satisfaction of supervisors, that are only pleased by the dull joys of mindless labor. I think it is not a question of whether China will ever destroy us because of their intellectual superiority, but when. Sincerely, A student

I have an 8th grader at Cimarron. I like how the school is organized into pods making what could be an overwhelming environment into something friendlier and more manageable. Great communication between teachers and parents.

I have been hit, kicked, punched, bit, and someone even threw a rock at my head. No action was taken to stop this bullying. And if you try to take action, the staff won't listen to you. Someone else's mom went into the school to falsely report me for bullying because it would make her son more popular and discredit me. But the school doesn't even bother to hear both sides of a story. Apparently, the first person to come tell is the person who is right. I was also bullied by the staff because after that woman went into the school, the staff in the office started standing up and calling me a bully, and told me I'm the problem. Then, the other boy's mother kept going into the school and putting on her fake tears and said I was cyberbullying her son because I sent him a text in Spanish. Her son was the one bullying me. He put trash on my head and bragged that he stole from me. Well, his mother didn't want the word to get out, so she did this. The staff started talking about me where I could hear them and they tried to take my phone away from me so many times. Why would a school listen to a liar? Why do they only care to hear one side of a story? Don't you care about your students? That's what's written on your website.
