I really can’t say enough great things about iron horse. As a previous school teacher I knew exactly what to expect and hope for when it came to my students education. The atmosphere is incredibly inviting, students are created every morning by the admin team as the walk through the doors. There are no shortage of hugs and high fives as you drop off your kids. My kids are thriving, are in the gt program and are pushed academically to excel. Every single teacher we’ve had has been a gem. They really take the time to differentiate and build relationships within the classroom. We love iron horse so much and will be sad when our time there is over.

As a parent, I couldn't be more pleased with the education my children received at Iron Horse Elementary. I have two children, both with ADHD, who have thrived while at IHE. The outstanding teachers, dedicated to constant professional development, truly make a difference in each student's journey. Beyond the exceptional classroom experience, IHE fosters a strong sense of community through engaging events and activities. The fall carnival, book fair, parent-teacher conferences, and casino night are just a few examples of the wonderful opportunities for families to connect and participate in their children's education. The dedicated staff go above and beyond to meet the unique needs of every learner, fostering a nurturing environment where every child feels seen, valued, and loved. They believe in high expectations, both academically and behaviorally, that have allowed my children to reach their full potential while building a strong foundation for lifelong success.

My son had attended this school since preschool and he is currently in second grade. He has ADHD and is also gifted and talented. The teachers and staff go above and beyond for all children. Administration listens and addresses issues and are always a huge support to parents and students. There are no better teachers out there than the ones at Iron Horse. It is like a second family for my son and I am so incredibly thankful that he has such amazing educational opportunities.

Iron Horse Elementary in Parker, CO, has been an incredible school for my family. Both of my boys attended from Kindergarten through 5th grade, and the experience exceeded our expectations at every level. Over the six years that I was involved as a member and board member of the PTO, I had the privilege of working closely with the staff and teachers—and I can confidently say they are some of the most caring and dedicated professionals I’ve ever encountered. The teachers at Iron Horse genuinely care about each child’s growth, both academically and emotionally. My boys received outstanding instruction throughout their time at the school and are now in advanced mathematics placements, thanks to the strong foundation laid by their incredible teachers.Beyond academics, the sense of community at Iron Horse is something special. The staff, administration, and PTO work together to create an environment where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to do their best. I always felt that my input as a parent was valued, and the level of communication between the school and families was excellent.I am so grateful for the positive impact Iron Horse Elementary has had on my children’s education and personal growth. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family in the Parker area looking for a nurturing, high-quality educational experience.

We have been at the school for two years now and I’m very happy with it. The teachers are amazing and my kids gets extra resources that are available to them. They get speech services and also reading support. It feels like a family at IHE and I’m glad we are there!

This school (my son states) "the school is terrible mom the kids they bully me calling me "stupid" and other stuff. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior because i was bullied in school and if the kids are if this is the truth then I am sick and tired of bullying however my son also really enjoyed school in the first few months he stated "the teachers are nice mommy" but now he says their very unobservant and don't care what goes on and doesn't get help he has come home multiple day with a frown and possibly tears streaming down his face my one request is that the teachers fix their stuff my son got a yellow ticket of paper saying he said mean things to a kid but he told me it was in retaliation for him bullying my son.

Our experience with Iron Horse Elementary has been great. The new administration is leaps and bounds better than the previous administration. The school has taken a very positive turn and I expect to see very positive things happening here in the future. We have been very happy with the new teacher our child has also. She has stated that she loves the culture and climate of the school and that most of her colleagues are very happy here. Keep up the great work!

Disappointment and sadness that this school is being run into the ground. My neighbor is a teacher here and tells me no one is happy. I don’t know I think it’s time to look elsewhere for your kids education.

Capital A. I respectfully disagree with the parent below. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, everything I have seen has been extremely positive, and Iron Horse is definitely headed in a great direction. There has been turnover, my guess that this is from complacent, reluctant to change individuals. I have heard that morale is indeed not low as the parent below has stated, it is very high. Further, other parents that I have talked to feel that the school is great and they love the changes and direction that it is headed.

Capital F. My kids were here when the previous principal was at Iron Horse. One the new one Bloomfield came to Iron Horse the entire school went into a downward spiral. Morale is very low on staff and many are leaving or planning on it. Some of the best teachers were fired because of the personal problems of the principal. This school is down to 350 kids because even the parents don’t like the principal.

We love attending our neighborhood school. The principle and VP are both wonderful. They're very open and strive to make Iron Horse a great place to be. My kid's teachers are phenomenal this year. They have both thrived in the environment of the school and care of their teachers. We were offered a few charter spots but after doing my research, I'm glad we stayed here. It's nice to support the community and be able to walk to school

I am a parent of 3 kiddos who have been through Iron Horse. -On our 11th year! It has always been a great neighborhood school. Local kids and parents. Good PTO and school camaraderie. Good curriculum and activities. Expect mild home work, 30-45 min. We'd love to have you! Remember, our neighborhood schools carry the special Ed and Special needs kids, so test scores will show accordingly. Our teachers work hard to differentiate accordingly, and this should not reflect a teacher poorly. Thank you and good luck! 2018

We have been a part of Iron Horse for 6 years now, with 5 more to go. Every aspect of this school has been amazing! The leadership is approachable and accommodating. The school takes every opportunity to offer various learning opportunities to all types of learners. The staff is always furthering their education to make the learning experience better for the students. We highly recommend Iron Horse to all Douglas County families.

We joined this school after summer 2017, my twin boys entered 2nd grade (having moved from Florida). My boys are in different classes which is always interesting to compare. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this school. The quality of teaching is fantastic and the Principal and Assistant Principal are actively engaged with the kids and the parents. My children rave about the PE teacher and the Junction (Library). One of my children is having extra support to help with speech and again the experience has been wonderful. If you are moving to this area or zoned to Iron Horse you are in amazing hands!
