Was very disappointing with the way the school handled situations. Had to pull my kids from his class the first day and was very disappointing

LPE is our neighborhood school and we are so glad we choose to go here instead of a charter school. We have two kiddos there, one is 1st grade now, who did her 3 years at the preschool there. And the other is currently on his 3rd year of preschool there and will be starting kindergarten there next year. Communicate is very important to me and I’ve always felt that at the preschool and the elementary school the teachers, SPED team and principal have done a good job keeping us informed how our kids are doing socially and academically. Both my kiddos have loved all their teachers and love coming to school. Which I think is partly bc the staff at LPE tries there best to know all the kids personally. They really connect and build strong relationships with their students. We feel both kids are very supported in their academics and as an individual. (Both my kids are ahead academically, and one of my kid is suspected to have ADHD. They do a great job accommodating for my kid with the ADHD. I would not hesitate to recommend LPEs preschool or elementary school. We have had great experience.

The preschool is not very good with communication and keeping parents in the loop. When you have a child that has a speech delay there shouldBe a system in place for communication. I should not be the one to have to request a communication log of some sorts. It was a very uncomfortable feelings sending my child through those doors in the morning, shut immediately, and picking him up and sent on my way when he couldn’t communicate much about his day. It was very frustrating and such a let down for our first experience in the public school system and preschool.

Fantastic teachers and amazing facilities. We were at Cherry Creek m, which is supposedly the best in the Denver metro, and this schools is hands down far better.

Legacy Point is an amazing Elementary school. We moved here from out of state and have twin Kindergarteners. They were in separate classes so we were able to experience both Kindie teachers. Mrs. Robert and Mrs. Reinfeld are AMAZING! Caring, kind and create an environment where the kids learn to love school and learning. We feel so blessed to have finished out our Kindergarten year at this amazing school. The leadership program is amazing as well, something I think all kids should learn at such a young age. Highly recommend LPE!

We have loved being a part of this community. The teacher and staff at LPE are wonderful and we will be sending our babe through LPE too!

My experience with the school is FANTASTIC. I have been a parent here since 2012 and loved every minute of it. I have been involved with the Parent Teacher Involvement Board (LPE's version of a PTO) for almost 5 years. I love the low class sizes - really an extra treat for the students and parents. I adore all the teachers we've had and even the ones we haven't. They all know my son who doesn't and has never attended LPE. It's just a warm and loving community for your child to grow in.

Exceptional. This school has incredibly low class sizes and staff who are committed to making a difference. Students learn to own their experiences and monitor and celebrate successes!

We have had a great experience at LPE. The Leader In Me program helps develop good personal habits and supports growth in emotional intelligence skills, which are more highly correlated with successful adult outcomes than academic intelligence.

Teachers personalize and differentiate for students - as a parent of a high achieving student, I appreciate this.

I hope people understand the scores do not truly represent the school. My child went to Legacy Point Elementary from kindergarten through fifth grade, and she was an academically average kid. We moved, so she is in a different feeder in the Douglas County School District this year, and she is thriving. She is maintaining the academic excellence she learned at Legacy Point. Also, the tools she has learned through the Leader In Me, have helped her navigate through her first year at a middle school not knowing anyone. Her strength as a student leader was fostered in elementary school, and she will carry those tools with her for a lifetime! I will forever be grateful to the teachers at Legacy Point Elementary!

As a parent of two kids at Legacy Point, one in 2nd and one in 5th, I am beyond pleased with the education they are receiving at LPE! My oldest has been at Legacy Point since kindergarten and we have had nothing but fantastic experiences. I used to be a teacher myself (pre-kids), so I like to think I know what to look for in a teacher. I have to say that the LPE staff is something truly special. Every single teacher at Legacy Point cares very deeply about students and this school. They are hardworking, dedicated, creative and support one another. You get a warm, safe and welcoming feeling the second you walk through the doors. I'm proud to be part of the LPE family and community!

So far I have loved everything about Legacy Point Elementary! Not only do I love what is happening in the classrooms but I love students also get specials classes like Art, Music and PE. With many schools cutting these programs it is nice to see that Legacy Point values them. I love that my student is getting exposed to the arts!

I have a student in special education and one in general education and I am very pleased with the education that both of my students are receiving. My student in SPED works with amazing and very knowledgeable teachers who really understand my students needs. My student that is not in special education receives a very personalized education by a teacher that cares about her. Finally, the admin is so friendly, responsive to parent needs, and knows every student which makes the building so warm and friendly. I love this school!

LPE is the BEST! It feels like one big family. You can tell the kids here are happy by their smiles walking around the building! You can tell the staff genuinely loves not only what they do everyday but the impact they have in these children's lives. LEADERSHIP is displayed and modeled everywhere in this school. The BASE program here is top notch and is an Accredited program recognized by COA. The BASE staff treat my family and my children like family and I know my students are SAFE and cared for while I'm working. We LOVE LPE!

Special education services at Legacy Point are above the bar! The team has stayed in constant communication to make sure our student is getting the services he needs. I appreciate the teachers and leadership going above and beyond for my son. Thank you Legacy Point!

I've been really happy with Legacy Point Elementary. I have two kids in the school in 2nd and 4th grades. I really like the Leader in Me program. I've seen both of my kids become leaders and focus more and more each year on their learning. I've had great experiences with all of their teachers over the years and believe that my kids really respond well to what they are learning.

If your student is in need of special services, it is hit or miss if they will receive them. They do not understanding learning disabilities nor do they employ methods to help those struggling students. I was told that I just need to lower my standards. There are some really great teachers, but there are also some bad ones as well. Six weeks into the school year, one of the teachers told me she did not realize that my child was not doing her work. I have also been told that my child was choosing not to focus on class work even though ADHD was the issue. The turnover in staff is concerning as we have gone through multiple principals within the last few years.

LPE is on it's fourth administration team in four years. As you can imagine that causes its share of issues amount the staff and students. However this years administrator team seems to be the worst yet. There is almost zero communication from the administration on anything relevant. Bullying is prevalent and yet widely excepted by the school. The admin team even had the audacity to send out a statement to parents letting us know that we had all been mistaken and that most of the bullying reported this year was just "kids being mean" which is not the same thing.... The school in general is all about tests. They teach the to test and your child will spend far too many hours taking test which lets face it are no true measure of knowledge. There are some amazing teachers at this school, however I do not see many of them sticking around much longer if the current admin team is there to stay.
