If i could give this 0 stars i would. I faced tons of racism there and the teachers didn't even care. I watched other black students be called the n word and when she got mad and tried to call the kid out the teachers punished the girl who was racially targeted. They also condoned prejudice of not just races but of politics as well. If you have views that are not conservative and are any race but white i highly recommend going somewhere else.

Platte Canyon High School has given me a great perspective on learning, thanks to all the amazing teachers and programs. Attending this school has provided me with opportunity and attitude I don’t believe I could have received elsewhere.

Smaller school, good facilities, competent staff that care about student performance. Very pleased with high school, not a fan of 'no homework' policy of middle school. Safe enviornment.

If you enjoy a tiny school, with little to no options for classes because the school is understaffed, then come to Platte. Nearly every grade has from 40-100 students, but if your child is advanced, they will have little to no options. Speaking from experience, I am two grade levels ahead, but because I needed challenging classes I was forced to take an entire wasted semester last year as a sophomore that consisted of Ceramics, Spanish 1, Art Design, and foofy online class. Not to mention was this all unbelievably easy, but I could've only shown up once every two weeks and still maintained the easy A that I had. This school denies all advanced students the options they need. Also, the counselor has now resigned and students were forced to create their own schedules and once again advanced classes conflicted with each other such as AP Calculus and AP World History. The principle also ignored the complaints about the schedule. They lack the common ability to help their students. I wish I had transferred to Conifer after middle school.
