I am beyond impressed with the education my children have received at Old Post Rd school. The sense of community at OPR fostered by faculty, teachers, parents and students is remarkable. We have had such a great experience that we would not move to a new house that would require attendance at any other school within the district (despite them being equally regarded within town). If I were to say anything negative it would be that the recess aides need better training.

There were many serious bullying incidents at this school, some from kids and some from teachers. This one teacher gave my daughter the worst year of her life where she had to go to therapy. Even the recess aids didn't do anything. They just watched and let it go on. 1/10 stars very disappointed and I'm just glad she is now out of the school

I have children that attend and have graduated from Old Post Road School and unfortunately I cannot provide a good review. There are some strong teachers in the lower grades but found that once the children reach the upper levels, the situation changes. Bullying incidences occurred quite frequently throughout the school. Often times on the playground and hall premises. Some of the playground staff blatantly ignored these incidences and the part-time counselor was not equipped to properly handling said issues. Often the very kids involved in the issues were honored for "student of the month" or "Anti-bullying" posters. Ironic? The children read a code of ethics at the beginning of school yet many of the aids continuously show no respect to the children. Special programs are never communicated to the parents and often kids that do not fit into the "mold" are left out or felt incompetent. This is a disappointed parent to say the least!!
