We moved to Walpole and our son started kindergarten at elm 2 years ago, he is now in 2nd grade. I am definitely happy with the academics, the staff, the extra curricular activities and the new principle Mrs. Brogadir. She has brought even more amazing energy and expertise in education to elm school. I don't know how often this website updates the testing results but I am surprised we aren't higher than a 6/10 ranking. My son was reading at the second half of the year in kindergarten and I owe it mostly to his teachers for teaching him. Overall, I definitely recommend elm street elementary to other families.

This is an excellent school. It is in my opinion the best elementary school in Walpole. Class sizes are small and the teachers and the new principal (Brogadir) are excellent.

My child started 3rd grade at Elm last year and has adjusted very well. There are many opportunities to take enrichment classes after school, running club and programs such as Battle of the Books.

Everyone is eager to join in and help. Very supportive enviroment and parents are very involved. Parents have high expectations, as they should, which in turn makes for great student involved events, being on top of technology going into the school, meeting the needs of students and teachers and keeping the relationships strong between teachers and parents. They say it can take a village to raise a child and this school is like our village.

My 3 children love this school! I am a PAC officer and involved volunteer. Teachers, staff and families are A+++! The PAC raises and provides funding for outstanding enrichment programming, technology purchases, family events, classroom needs and more. We were grand prize winners of a Play60 grant this year from the NFL and New England Patriots as a Super School with a focus on health, wellness, and fitness. Enrichment programming and family nights tie learning, fun, and curriculum all together. A vibrant and supportive school community.

We are concerned about the large class sizes and math scores. Resources are limited esp. in technology. Nice building.

Elm Street School has emerged as a leading elementary school in Walpole. A fortuitous mix of young and veteran teachers, with a strong principal, and consistent parent involvement.
