I am pleased to write a review for the Prescott Elementary School. I have 3 children currently enrolled and each child has their own academic and social strengths. Each child loves coming to school and feel safe, respected and valued. Their love and pride for their school is evident when they talk about all the activities their school offers. We adore their teachers and the school principal. We are very lucky to have the Prescott School as our neighborhood school!

The teachers and staff are engaged and most of the parents I've met are interested in their child's education. I'm not sure what more you could ask for!

The rating was higher last year- at a six. It may have dropped with a greater number of ESL student test scores. If I had seen this score, I may have overlooked it-- but you shouldn't- the school really is great! Nevertheless, the principal is really impressive and very involved with the students. The teachers expressed how excited they were about the new school year and how they felt they really had an amazing school.

Great ESL, and gifted and talented program. Great teachers. Small classes. Well prepared for middle school.

I have two children attending the Prescott and am very pleased with the quality of their education. There are a lot of cultural offerings (author visits), music/instrument lessons, etc. I am not a Norwood native but this neighborhood school is very community oriented with lots of evening school events (Math&Science night, pasta supper, BBQ) that allow for you to meet other parents and families. Although MCAS is a big part of the spring curriculum - I think the teachers and students have risen to the challenge and it has raised the quality of elementary curriculum to a level that is much higher than I received as a child. If you are thinking of moving to Norwood - I can strongly recommend the Prescott school.
