This school and the Gwinnet county school board are terrible. They had the parents commit to a Summer School Program for Kids and the time was supposed to be from 8:00pm to 2:00pm. Then they went ahead and changed and never asked anyone if it was okay. This morning I went to drop my son off a little earlier and they did want to let him in the school and I get an attitude from anyone that I spoke to. Then I called the school to ask if we could change him from a car rider to a bus rider and they will not accommodate that request either. There is always an excuse why things cannot be done. They are terrible to work with if your schedule does not work with theirs.

This school is worse than Sugar Hill Elementary! The kids act all inappropriate, the assignments are a pain, some teachers aren’t making the lessons fun, and the lessons are useless. When will I ever use anything from social studies, math, or science? The kids are also very immature. All they do is talk as loud as they can and annoy the heck out of me. So far this is the worst school I have ever been in.

It's an Ok education, and I really do like some teachers, however, the lack of a good school environment and some teachers who are, not very compassionate, make the experience not good for a school.

Honestly to be honest and get to the point the school is a good school, but only people who actually want to make a chance, show leadership, be the good ones tend to succeed

My children have really done well at Lanier. They appreciate the many hands-on learning opportunities and how well technology is utilized. Teachers are flexible and easily approachable. Very diverse student population and nice sense of community among students.

This school is a great school and I enjoy attending my classes. But, I feel like the relationships between the students an teachers aren't great. Many teachers treat students as if they are younger elementary students instead of middle school students. Teacher don't have respect for the students anymore. Our school has gone down in quality, we once had 2 fights in one day. In my classroom I've seen fights almost happen but once the teacher or an administrator breaks up the fight or potential fight. The classroom and all other affected classes are delayed since students are jittery, nervous, scared, and alarmed, this delay is causes students learning time to be put on hold and setback. Finally the school dress code is too much, the school is saying that the way a young girl dresses is so important that their class time is put on hold to change into "dress coded uniform" so they aren't distracting other classmates. How can a way a person is dressed affect their class mates? I don't recall being stared at in class in elementary school for wearing a shirt with shoulder cut-outs. What the school is implying dresses to dress code is more important than our education. Overall our school has gone down in quality and has become a bad school to attend.
