We moved to Forsyth because many people think they have a better schools than other countiesThis is our first year with this school and after two weeks in this school, many problems started. First, the school though our daughter was a mentally handicap so they decided to put her in several separate classroom with out letting us know about it. Many emails then meeting but they never explained how did they made that decision. Their facilitator was on and on about this obligation and that obligation, but never once said that she has had no obligated to take her job or leave her job. Then IEP, our daughter received a special need because SSD due to her birth. This speech language pathology was born and raised in Forsyth, just graduated with no experienced and has this job with her county. She was assigned to work with our daughter. She had never communicated with us regarding what so ever about our daughter. Turn out, her case manager and the facilitator have to handle the talk. (may be this pathology is too young to speak). Not only that, in the past 6 months, she teach our daughter about idioms only. We contacted her case manager and the case manger told us that what their team decided for our daughter to learn until the end of school year. Idioms is nice to learn, but that is not a academic or standard form. We can buy a idioms book or download it online for our daughter to practices why do we need a Pathology to teach.Maybe, this Pathology is inventing her own idioms that no one has ever known to teach kids. This school is running with a lot of negative people.Any one want to know about Forsyth County, just email us to find out the true before buy a very expensive house to live. You can rent a house for first year and try out their school before stuck in the situation like us (400k).FYI: a lots of farms and cows are here in Forsyth.

We moved to the area for its excellent public schools. We are amazed by the wonderful teachers, staffs, and the principles, not to mention devoted parents community working so hard to support the school. We are very glad that we made the decision to withdraw my son from the private school (CCA) where he was losing his self-esteem, and moved further north to be in this wonderful school where we know for sure that our child is LOVED. My son's own words summarize all: Settles Bridge is the best school in the universe!

This is our first year in Elementary and it has been a wonderful year. The principal and assistant principal are wonderfully nice, helpful and most importantly approachable. I have a child that needed special needs and the principal herself took the time to introduce us to the wonderful specials teacher who was even more awesome and got our child into the school program. My other child's teacher and assistant teacher were the best Kindergarten teachers ever! They made the transition into a big school easy for us and our little Kindergarten. The teachers are very supportive, professional and pay great attention to each and every child and great parent teacher communication. Even the Horizon gifted class teacher started the classes as soon as the Kindergarten children got accepted into the program. It was wonderful news to us as we did not have to wait until the next school year for our child to start the program. Best of all everyone greets you with a lovely smile and the teachers are very helpful and nice!!!...The school has an extensive website and you can view each teachers web page through the school website great tool to keep parents informed. Specials include French, Art, Music and PE classes. The art teacher was awesome and encouraged participation in many art competitions. Lots of fun and excitement during the school year with a wonderful support team from the PTA. Love the school glad we had the best 1st year there and looking forward to many more years to come!!!

Settles Bridge is an excellent school. To the parent complaining about response time, completely disagree. I have ALWAYS received quick response to any question I have. Perhaps this parent is one who demands more than their fair share of time? The 'new' adminsitration has been excellent. Styles are different but still great. I have five kids, and they have attended SBE for seven years. We have always been pleased.

It's our first year at this school and overall, I believe it's a good school. However, communication from teachers all the way to the Principle is lacking to say the least. Maybe they are all stretched thin, but as a parent, I would expect more. The amount of time it takes for a response would never be allowed in the business world. I was told the prior principle was excellent, but once the new one took over, things have gone a bit downhill. I don't know the truth to this, but I do know they need improvement in their response times.
