Sycamore has dedicated teachers and administrators. I have 3 children that are students there. All of the teachers we have experienced have gone above and beyond as teachers and have completely exceeded our expectations thus making learning fun and exciting for our kids. The administration really listens to the parents and have been so supportive of the needs of my children this past year. Our family cannot say enough good things about this school and its staff.

Wonderful place to work and have your kids attending this school. Great teacher dedicated to students, the principal is a wonderful caring person, always dedicating her time to parent and students, works closely with all her staff making sure students get the best at the end of the day. In one word Exceptional!!!

The staff at the main office are always nice and helpful, the principal it's a great person, caring about the students and parents, also does her job with care and love for what she is doing. A great place to educate your kids.

Our experience has been very positive at Sycamore!The first year, the school was transitioning leadership and structure. All for the better it has been! We have been here four years and each year you can actually see growth and fantastic progress! It feels so good to be part of this community! Every one is so involved and genuinely cares, parents teachers AND students!You really feel school pride here! It's great!

My daughter spent K-4 at Sycamore and we've seen great improvement since Ms. Thompson joined as Principal. Sadly, we've had to transfer to a different school due to a move out of the area, and I can tell even more now than ever, how wonderful Sycamore has been. I feel that our new school (which was rated higher when we moved, but now Sycamore has surpassed) does not measure up to the standards to which we've become accustom. The teachers are caring, helpful, and communicative. Ms. Thompson is extremely proficient in keeping parents informed and included. They have great extracurricular opportunities for students by way of clubs and activities. They have awards' ceremonies (open to parents and families) to acknowledge the achievements of the students each semester; a great way to motivate those who strive for success.My only complaint is the recess area for the kids could be improved, but it's not a huge deterrent for me as a parent. I believe they've been working to improve that anyway. I know my daughter misses Sycamore, and so far, so do I!

Great proactive and involved staff. Wonderful principal is genuinely interested in the educational health of her students and it shows. They challenge the children and parents to achieve feat success.

Sycamore Elementary is an outstanding school. The teachers are wonderful and the environment is very welcoming and friendly. You will not find a "clique" type of atmosphere among the parents here. Diverse populations are represented which is awesome since most people don't want their kids growing up in a bubble. There are so many opportunities to get involved and parents are encouraged to be in the school/classroom as much as they'd like. We are proud to be Sycamore Huskies and are very excited about the future plans for the school.

Both of my children attend Sycamore Elementary - one is in 5th grade and the other is in 3rd. They both started in kindergarten. We have encountered the most educated, caring, & professional teachers and staff. They all have a passion for helping our children learn, excel, and become great leaders; as well as offer a challenging curriculum! We are blessed to be a part of the Sycamore family and look forward to what the next couple of years will bring.

Sycamore is the best school for our children. The teachers and staff are always friendly and helpful in making everyone feel welcome at Sycamore. The curriculum is challenging for all the students and the classroom setting is structured around learning. The administration and teachers really care about all students and the learning process is top priority. We are proud to be apart of the Sycamore family in the Lanier School Cluster. Go Huskies!

This is going to be the second year of my child in this school and I can ask for better school than Sycamore! I am also a volunteer in diferent areas at the school and it been a blessing expirience being part of this school! Your child is not only a student here is more like a big family! All the staff is very professional and kindness and our Principal is a very hard worker and always giving the best of her!! Give you child the opportunity of being part of this big family!!

Teachers and staff are very welcoming to visitors, and they seem to enjoy each others' company, also. I have been volunteering in classrooms, in the Media Center, have eaten in the cafeteria frequently, and been on the playground with different classes. The teachers always seem to get along well with each other and work together well in various situations in working with students.

This is not your typical Title 1 school! All levels of students are served included advanced and gifted students. The Principal is devoted to excellence and achievement and it shows. There is also an active and involved PTA.

There is NO place I would rather work at AND have my children attend with me than Sycamore for the past 6 years! 2 of my children were permissive transfers INTO my school because we now reside in Hall Co., but when I lived in Sugar Hill yet worked in Norcross, I chose to send my now-11th grader to attend Sycamore for his 5th grade year. What a wise choice I made as my last child is about to graduate Kindergarten-where she is thriving-and I will have her with me at Sycamore for the next 5 years! How blessed I am in so many ways! We love our students and truly desire for them ALL to exceed! Sycamore Rocks!
