I’ve had 2 kids attend RES and this is a truly exceptional school! The overall learning environment is very supportive and the teachers and administrators are wonderful. Both of my children have special needs (one with ADHD and one with dyslexia) and both were always treated with care and respect. The driver individualized attention that each have been given is bar-none. Each teacher and administrator that we have had have been wonderful and a few have even been system-wide Teacher of the Year. My wife and I are sad that our RES journey is coming to an end with my daughter transitioning to North Gwinnett Middle School next year.

I have two kids at this school, 2nd and 4th grade. They really enjoy their school time. Both of them are excellent academically without much contributions from us. Except signing some paper/homework, We didn’t involve much at home. We did struggle at home for their piano, ballet and 2nd language. The younger one made some trouble in school or on bus. Not easy to coach. So I have to attribute their academic performance to their teachers and Riverside!

I love Riverside. Riverside has proven to be a top notch school that prepares students well for middle school. Both of my children have attended Riverside for their entire elementary school careers. They are in gifted/advanced classes. There are wonderful programs and activities for students at Riverside. The teachers work hard to customize learning and spend so much personal time at the school and home communicating and providing for students. The administration is present and attentive.

Riverside is the best. Teachers and staff care for the students and the administration is top notch. I'm glad we moved here from Dekalb county to go to a superior school.

I moved from L.I. New York and initially settled in Alpharetta. School leaders/staff in the elementary schools my child attended there, were not colorblind. Treatment received by me and my child was detrimental to my child's success. The diversity of the schools did not equate to equal treatment for all. School leaders went out of their way to undermine my child's academic success. No way was I going to allow my youngest child to attend an Alpharetta school. I opted to move to Suwanee; visited 3 elementary schools and met with the Asst.Principals. Riverside felt like the best fit because the AP was genuinely engaged and I know leaders set the tone for the school culture. I have been so happy with the move to this school zone. We have received the best treatment from the K/2nd Grade Riverside School A.P., Ms. Schwefler. She's made us feel truly a part of the Riverside family. My concerns get addressed and my child's success is paramount to the A.P. and the teacher. No matter who you are, It is clear that parents and students are very important. Academic success for your child is vital. My child is excelling academically, has made many friends and loves going to school each day.

Administration is pompous and put more money towards looks of school rather than toward the kids.

RIVERSIDE ELEMENTARY'S SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM IS THE BEST!!! I can't say enough good things about this school. My son has significant special education needs related to learning disabilities and this school by far has embraced his "uniqueness and learning differences" and continue to strive to help him be the very best student he can be. Year after year, the special education teachers and administration try new things with him to see if something works better. They do not rest on providing the standard education, they strive for the best. My other child learns normally and the teachers continue to challenge her to be the best she can be. Any concerns taken to administration are addressed seriously and appropriately. My voice as a parent is heard and respected. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this school.
