Love this school and the community. My son loves his teachers Ms. Ortiz and Ms. Alex! They are so passionate about what they do and it is truly evident every day! The staff and administration are so welcoming and supportive. My son has learned so much academically, spiritually and emotionally! We are blessed to have found this school. Looking forward to our next year in K3

My stepson attended this school. The curriculum is not advanced , the teachers are unqualified and inexperienced. The administration is a joke . If you are a member of the parent association, your child can get away with almost anything. There is no teaching - it is assigning dittos and teach to the test . It is a waste of your money . My stepson was at mid year third grade when we pulled him out . We placed him in public school .When he started , he was given a pre assessment to determine his level . He scored at a low second grade level when he should have been early fourth grade level. This school is a joke . How do I know ? I have been a teacher for over 30 years in the private and public school sectors. I have taught all kinds of students and I sm telling you this is by far one of the worst curriculum and instructional approaches I have ever seen. I am a curriculum specialist and my doctoral degree is on curriculum, instruction and assessment and this is my field of expertise . Do not enroll your child here.

My niece is being bullied and the school is doing nothing.

No school is perfect, but this one is pretty close to it. Teachers here are amazing and the parental involvement is outstanding. I'm so happy my children go to school here. I highly recommend this school- it is truly a lovely place.

My child attended this school for preschool and kindergarten. She had an amazing experience and the teachers were lovely. I was then lured into trying out a highly acclaimed public school. By third grade I was done with this public school and desperately wanted my child back in KCS. Finally I got the call- my child could return. I was worried because I knew my child would be behind, but the 3rd grade teachers helped my child and accommodated her needs without ever making my child feel less than. They helped my child feel smart and helped my child believe in herself. The curriculum here is about a year in advance, but do not let that scare you. The teachers work with your child and really care about the whole child. Any concern or email I wrote was answered immediately. At our public school several emails were ignored and no one cared. That is not what you will find here. They work with families to make sure your child is not only learning, but also happy to be at school. I gladly pay tuition for KCS as I know the alternative is not at all what it seems. KCS is such a warm place- the teachers open conferences with a prayer. I knew once I experienced this everything would ok and I bake the right decision for my family. Let's pray a middle school opens up!

This school was once considered a hidden gem, but something has happened to this school and it’s administration within the last 2 years and the quality of education has plummeted. Bullying is rampant throughout all grade levels, administration does nothing about it. In fact, if you complain, your child will be their newest target and they will build a file on your child so they have reason to kick your family out. The teachers are overworked and not given the resources they need to continue to provide the level of education that the school was once known for. If you’ve got deep enough pockets, you can just make endless donations to the school and your child will be shown preferential treatment. Kicked out of a public school? No problem, just throw a check at them and your child will be accepted regardless of their behavioral issues and/or entrance exam. Not enough diversity, it’s really a shame how this school has deteriorated.

This is a great school, I'm so glad we found it. It blows my mind how well my child is reading. The teachers are compassionate and the office staff is very responsive.

I was not impressed with the curriculum. I transferred my son to a public school and he was so behind we had to get him a tutor.

Disappointed with this school. I attempted to enroll my daughter twice. First time was during the prek4 mid year since COVID we didn’t send her to school in fear of her contracting the virus but by pre-K 4 mid year, we decided to enroll her. They “tested” her and they said she was way to behind. So I tried again for the 2021 school year, they retested her and again they said she was too behind. It’s like they don’t want to give kids a chance, even considering the year we have had with COVID impacting all kids schooling. It was very disappointing and I was disgusted by the double rejection. This is supposed to be a “caring and loving” environment but they won’t even give opportunity. It’s apparent that they do not support kids with possible learning difficulties

This is a hidden gem... we have been part of the KCS family for six years and can’t be any happier. Our children are in love with the school, staff, teachers and cafeteria. We HIGHLY recommend Kendall Christian School and are looking forward to expand all the way to middle school.

I've always heard such great things about this school and tried to register my daughter for K2 and K3, but the school was full. She was placed on a waiting list each year and FINALLY got accepted this year for Pre-K4. It was definitely worth the long wait and stressful admission process/entrance assessment. Now that she's at KCS, she loves to wake up each morning and go to school. I couldn't be happier at KCS. My daughter is currently working at a Kindergarten level and is thriving (kudos to her excellent teachers). The school's curriculum is challenging, and way ahead of any school I've seen. FYI, they do send home quite a bit of homework (even in preschool). The teachers are exceptional, and the spiritual growth I see developing daily in my child is more and more evident each day. Overall, this is a great wholesome school, and I am proud to be a KCS mommy.

We love Kendall Christian. The staff, community, parents, children, teachers, everyone is amazing! From the security guards that greet us daily, to the staff at the Knights Cafe. We could not be happier. The classes are small and cozy. Community highly involved. Can't wait to enroll our youngest soon!

This is an amazing school! My daughter is currently attending Kindergarten and after doing much research on all the private schools in the area I came across this gem! Everything about this school is great, from the the headmaster to the teachers to the office staff. This is like a family, parents are very involved. Also academics are very challenging they are head from most schools. The school is kept very updated in their classrooms. love it love it!

My child is currently enrolled in the elementary school at Kendall Christian. My child began kendall when she was 2 years old. Prior to keeping her there for kindergarten, I too did my research and toured many local public and charter schools. I visited Vineland, Leewood, Palmetto, Kenwood and True North Charter. I was not pleased with what I saw. For me the deciding factor was when a friend of mine whose child is in elementary school at a local public school told me that a child in her daughters class is male and is allowed to come dressed and is to be reffered to as "she" and not "he" and is accepted by the school administration. I completely respect transgender individuals, although I refuse to expose my child to this in Kindergarten and elementary school. I am giving Kendall School 4 stars because I agree the school needs to improve their after school programs, but I could not be more proud of everything else including the vigorous academic standards at Kendall. The teachers and administrators have always been excellent and very professional. The school is not cheap and although my husband and I contemplated our local public and charter schools, we now know for a fact that the investment we are making in our child's education at Kendall alongside families and teachers who share our same values is priceless and worth every penny!!!Now we just need the school to open a middle school!! :)

We selected KCS based partly on the excellent reviews on this site, but mostly because we wanted a Christian education for our daughter and the school is competitively priced. Having spent the current school year at a public school, I now feel qualified to share our experience by comparing the two, in the hopes of helping out other parents who are in the same situation we were. KCS was an ok school. Some teachers were wonderful, some were lacking, most were simply ok. The Christian curriculum for kids was its main draw. Academics were pretty average, and not at all like the Gulliver-caliber standards the headmaster discussed during our prospective parents tour (sigh). Its Achilles heel, however, was extracurricular activities. The field was sadly unkempt and mosquito-infested, and its sports programs were a joke. As prospective parents we were wowed by a menu of after-school activities; once our child was a student, we realized how poorly planned and executed these were – our daughter was bored to tears and came to view them as a chore, begging us to leave her in aftercare instead. The straw that broke the camel’s back was when we picked up our daughter from PK4 at lunchtime for a doctor’s appointment, and found the entire classroom eating their lunch while watching cartoons. My daughter explained that this was a daily occurrence. Defying all common sense as well as childhood development research, the teachers and staff did not see a problem with this. Our daughter is now in her second semester of kindergarten at a great public school and we couldn’t be happier. She is learning and thriving, while getting a better education at no cost to us. Those funds are now going into her college savings account, and she receives her Christian education at Sunday school and through the way we teach her, on a daily basis, as parents. Of course, we cannot speak for other families, but we feel relieved that our risk at pulling her from KCS paid off.

We really love this school. It's a hidden gem and is not too expensive in comparison to all the schools in the area. My kids couldn't be happier!

AMAZING SCHOOL!!!! I have both my kids enrolled at Kendall Christian School. My daughter is currently in K3 and my son in elementary. We enrolled our kids several years back and the positive changes that we have seen have been excellent. The Headmaster was brought in last year and the changes have been only positive. They also hired a new preschool director that is very approachable and always available to help me when I need help. The teachers that my kids have been blessed with have been excellent Godly teachers. A few years ago we had once thought about moving our oldest son to another school for elementary with the thought that the curriculum was not challenging. We are so happy we didn't. He is definitely being challenged. The administration has brought in new curriculum and so many great programs to the school. I am very proud to see administration take action and be strict with certain unruly parents and students who think they can scream at teachers and disrespect school employees as they were able to do in the past. We are blessed to have our kids in such an excellent christian school. My husband and I plan to see our kids graduate from KCS.

KCS is a great school. I have had my child there for 4 years now and I could not be more proud of all the changes. My son is now in 3rd grade and doing great. The school has really improved and I highly recommend it.

My children attended this school for two years. During this time the staff was completely switched from the head master to the secretary. After that point this school became just a money making operation totally void of respect for parents and students. If you had a issue with the teachers the "head master" would chastise you for being a concerned parent. I immediately withdrew my children only to find that they were lacking academically to public school when they received honor roll previously. I would not recommend this school and would warn other parents to reconsider if they chose this school.
