Rambam boasts a beautifully designed building and top-notch security, creating a visually appealing and safe environment for students. The school's facilities and safety measures are certainly impressive. For families seeking a strong focus on Judaic studies, Rambam excels in integrating these programs into the curriculum. This commitment to Jewish education is a significant strength of the school. However, it's unfortunate that they do not offer Spanish as part of the curriculum, which is a notable drawback given Miami's diverse, multilingual community. When it comes to teaching staff, the situation is mixed. While Mrs. Calzadilla (1st grade) stands out as an exceptional educator, the overall quality of the teaching staff is lacking. The learning specialists also fall short, failing to effectively motivate students or provide the tools they need to succeed. The administration further compounds these issues with its poor handling of family concerns and student support. Families often feel unsupported, particularly those with students needing additional help. The administration’s approach has even led to the departure of over a dozen teachers, highlighting internal problems. In summary, while Rambam offers strong Judaic studies programs and impressive facilities, it struggles in areas such as teacher quality, support services, and administrative responsiveness. Prospective families should weigh these factors carefully when considering the school.

We have had an incredible experience at Temple Beth Am Day School (now called Rambam Day School), having had both of our children enrolled since they were 2 years old. It strikes the perfect balance between academic rigor and a nurturing environment. It is extremely dedicated to safety; I cannot emphasize enough how important having this peace of mind is. The head of school, Nora Anderson, is extremely personable and has already taken the school to new levels in the few years since she arrived. I am very excited about what is to come under her leadership. Last but not least, Rambam Day School Temple Beth Am has the most inclusive, supportive community. There are so many opportunities for parents to get involved, and we feel blessed to have found such a wonderful community. I truly feel that this school has it all!

As a parent at the school for many years I can't say enough good things. My children were taught to think critically and to think outside of themselves. They have learned to become upstanders in our community and to care for a community greater than their own. They have made friendships that will last a lifetime and our family has made our forever friends. I feel so fortunate to call Rambam my home.

As parents, one of our greatest hopes is for our children to develop a lifelong love of learning. At Rambam Day School (formerly Temple Beth Am Day School), this is exactly what my family has experienced. From the warm and nurturing early childhood program to the engaging elementary school years, this Jewish day school has provided an exceptional educational journey for our kids. The early childhood program laid a solid foundation, not only academically but also in terms of social-emotional skills. The patient and caring teachers created a nurturing environment where our little ones felt safe to explore and grow. Friday morning Shabbat celebrations in the school's atrium were a highlight, filling the air with joy and setting the perfect tone for the weekend. As our children transitioned to elementary school, the small classroom sizes and experienced teachers fostered an environment conducive to asking questions, exploring concepts, and engaging in meaningful discussions. The teachers at Rambam truly understand the value of encouraging curiosity and presenting multiple paths to reach the correct answer. What sets Rambam apart is the seamless integration of Jewish culture and traditions throughout the curriculum. While our children have gained a strong grasp of the Hebrew language, they have also developed a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of Jewish heritage.Beyond academics, Rambam Day School has provided a strong sense of community. The school's families have become an extended family for us, forging lifelong friendships and connections that will undoubtedly endure long after our children have graduated. If you seek an educational experience that nurtures curious minds, instills a love of learning, and provides a strong cultural foundation, Rambam Day School is an exceptional choice. Our family's journey at this remarkable institution has been nothing short of wonderful.

Despite the impressive facade of the new building and campus, concerns linger behind closed doors at Beth Am School. The administration's focus appears to prioritize their social media image and classroom capacity over the quality of education provided. Drawing from personal experience as a parent with children in both public elementary schools and Beth Am, it is evident that the former offers a more robust educational foundation and superior preparation for middle school. Excessive emphasis on extracurricular activities detracts from valuable classroom learning time, all for that great instagram post. Witnessing firsthand the disrespectful conduct of Ms. Anderson, the school's head, towards students and staff indicates a concerning leadership approach. You can see reviews from a school she ran in NYC were very similar. Access to her attention seems reserved for those capable of writing substantial financial contributions. There are some dedicated teachers at Beth Am, but such talent is not unique to this institution. The sustainability of such valuable faculty within this administration remains uncertain. Safety is definitely a plus for Beth Am, but I felt pretty safe in public school as well. Would have been nice to have Spanish as a language option. This education is definitely not worth the money.

Dr Starr was an excellent head of the school. Unfortunately she is retired.

My daughter was in Junior Nursery when she was 2 years old. On an occasion, I shoed up at the school to pick her up and she was not in the classroom. The teachers had left her unattended in the playground for what they claimed "a few minutes". The student to teacher ration in the classroom was 10 kids to 2 teachers. Needless to say I took my daughter out of the school and reported them to DCF.

Beth Am Day School has been a wonderful experience. The teachers and staff are amazing, and want to make sure that your child is doing well. You can tell that the teachers love what they are doing. Our child has grown so much in positive ways with this school and is so happy to go to class.

Temple Beth Am is amazing! The attention each child receives is the way how all schools should treat their students. The teachers truly care about each child as if they were their own. Dr. Star goes above and beyond what is required of her.

There is a new Head of School this year and as a result the academics are more rigorous. Also, they are offering more scholarships, which has been very helpful for parents. The class sizes are small and the teachers are able to really individualize instruction. They are conscious of creating a warm social climate and do promote anti-bullying philosophies. The Jewish/Hebrew instruction is limited. Your child will receive and excellent education, but this is not a good fit for special needs students.
