This is an outstanding school! My daughters are so happy in there. I haven’t heard once that they do not enjoy going to school. It is a well balanced school, lots of art and theater, gymnastics and academics. It is not the typical school where the kids have loads of homework, except maybe when they get to 5th grade. The first time i toured the school i was not very convinced due to so many cultural things going on, but i think, that actually this is what differentiates the school from others. All the kids graduating flourish in private or public schools. What i really think is that if you are concerned about spending extra on tutoring when going to middle school, being the admissions so competitive, tutoring is needed eventually, but it is not only an issue with this school, i think it is an issue for most.I am amazed of how well, starting from PK4, the kids participate in the theater, all the shows spectacular, and well done. This is discipline for life, acting, talking or performing in front of people is not easy and i am sure all the kids have easier time when giving a presentation or public speaking when they grow up.And gymnastics make them strong and focused, and it gives them certain level of confidence that a simple PE class will not give.I definitely love the school, which is, by no means perfect, but i think it is the right choice for our family.

This school is a true gem. There really is no other like it. The children gain so much confidence, both physical and emotional strength, compassion, and so many happy memories. Neither of my kids currently attending has EVER not been excited to go to school in the morning. The principal, teachers, coaches, theater department, owners, and auxiliary staff are truly there because they love what they do and they love the children. It is just such a special place.

Amazing school. I have three boys and two of them attend The Mandelstam School. I’ve seen them grow from shy and insecure to beautiful, strong and hard working kids. The gymnastics program influences their experience with handling difficult situations, not only challenging their physical bodies but also their minds and spirit. Theater, another amazing component of this amazing school, has helped my children come out of their shells and find enough comfort, strength and inspiration to step into their best self. Academics are strong, the teacher and staff are incredibly supportive and talented. We are proud to be part of the Mandelstam community!Naila Tavares

Best School in Miami. Integrates Sports, Arts, and Academics. Most important the give the same importance to raising well rounded citizens as they do to grades.

If the school went through high school, we would not leave. I wish they at least went to eighth grade. My child is well prepared for middle school and has developed a strong character, exceptional theater performance skills and physical strength.

Our experience with this school has been exceptional! The Mandelstam School prepares children to be successful in their next step in middle school and creates a confident, well-rounded, well-prepared young people ready to take on new and exciting challenges. They deliver a whole child experience that you have to experience to understand. It's a magical safe and nurturing environment where children really love to learn and going to school every day! Their robust after school arts, gymnastics and dance programs are exceptional too. Thank you to The Mandelstam School for this amazing experience.

I would say that this school is among the most unique in Miami. It is small (only one class per grade) and feels like a family, and it is so much more than a typical elementary school! The triad curriculum involves academics, athletics (with a full gymnastics gym and curriculum woven into the daily experience), and permorning arts. It is an interesting and exciting environment to grow in!

The Mandelstam School is our home outside our home. We have had our daughters there since PK4 — our oldest is about to graduate from 5th Grade — and each single year has made our girls grow academically, emotionally and physically. The excellent, smart and caring staff, the curriculum and small class sizes provide for a well-rounded, growth mindset and loving class atmosphere. The focus on physical and mental fitness makes healthy living a pillar in our kids daily lives with the school’s integrated gymnastics curriculum and established organic lunch catering. Finally, the almost monthly required participation in the performing arts from theatre to music and ballet shows as well as Spanish poetry recitals equip our children with the necessary confidence, worldliness and happiness of a well balanced and yet so powerful elementary school experience. Would I have more children, there is no doubt they would all be part of the Mandelstam family. Don’t miss to take a tour of this truly magical place!

We’ve had a great experience in this school. We’ve seen our son flourish and his education is well rounded through the arts, physical activity and academics. He has develop more confidence, strength and love for learning. The community is accepting and loving . Teachers are committed to the education and connecting with the children while teaching them not only top notch academics but also values, conflict solving, emotional and social development.

I do NOT recommend this school. My children went to the school. These are my OPINIONS- Does not appear to hold comparable accreditation(s) to other quality private schools in the area - Some of the best teachers are not returning next school year.- Administration constantly in flux: 3 different Head of School from 2016-17 to now. - Not much information is disclosed or open for discussion.- my kids don’t like the food and seems like junk- PTA money hungry- The school performances are cute but not worth the hype

The Mandelstam School is about the whole child, not just the academics. What a delight to see these children performing on stage or flying through the air doing gymnastics. Wow, what a great experience for these kids!

This is a very nurturing, family-oriented, education striving and positive-influential school. I could not ask for a better environment to have placed my daughter!

The administration, teachers and staff go above and beyond to teach, inspire and guide each student on an individual basis. The class sizes are small - there are 17 children in my daughters grade, some grades have less than that. Their triad approach (academics, arts, athletics) is the most well rounded we have found and we have done our research. Most importantly, our daughter is happy to go to school. She talks about her day. In addition to learning, she is becoming physically strong from the gymnastics and developing so much poise from the performing arts opportunities. We love this school.

For me, this school embodies what private school education should be like. The student/teacher ratios are such that teachers are truly able to connect with each student and get to know him or her as a person. There is an attention to educating the whole child (academics, arts, gymnastics and core values) and allowing each individual's strengths to shine. The unique gymnastics program fosters great physical strength and discipline while providing a fun outlet for movement throughout the day. This is certainly one of my daughter's favorite parts about the school! All the teachers are so passionate about their subjects and involved in the school community. I'm very impressed by the science program, led by a stellar teacher. My daughter has also made huge strides in Spanish, thanks to the school dedicating enough time in the schedule for those language skills to be developed. I'm equally impressed with the art and music class, which has exposed her to music theory as well as more contemporary music history, giving us something to chat about and bond over. My one regret is finding this gem of a school at 4th grade and not sooner! My daughter gets up early, excited to go to school each day. She actually talks about what she is learning and projects she is doing in school. She is setting goals for herself and working hard to meet those. I feel that the intellectual curiosity she once showed (but lost after 3 years at larger, more impersonal school) is finally back. I thank the dedicated teachers and staff at The Mandelstam School for sparking this love of learning once again!I write this review not only as an extremely satisfied parent, but as a teacher with experience in private and charter schools and a masters in education from Harvard. I have seen a lot out there and I can confidently say that what The Mandelstam School has built is something to be regarded as a model for the future of elementary education.

I love the school. Each child feels loved and important. It has great academics, artistic and gymnastics areas. It has a familiar atmosphere that allows them to grow happy and be themselves. It creates unique children. They thrive in it.
