HDE is a such a wonderful community. It is welcoming, warm and provides superb educational and social skills to our students. 2 of my children graduated from HDE and 1of then is still there and all 3 have excelled and have felt love, friendship and involvement at all levels.

Our family loves Howard Drive! All four of my sons have gone here at some point. From Our oldest (age 21) to our youngest (age 6). The kids have gotten a wonderful education and happy experiences at this school . The school has been like a supportive family over the years.

I love this school and I've learned so much. There is so many fun activities that other schools don't have. I have been in this school for 7 years but sadly students numbers are decreasing. I really recommend this school, the teachers are kind and teach in a fun way.

Upon entering the school my fifth grader was bullied for the first two months. My second grader comes home with more homework than I had in my entire career of elementary school. About the school, welcoming and including families as partners in their children’s learning, they definitely don’t have a problem with that because in my experience, it seems that they wanted the parents to do more of the teaching. This is a good school, but like every school they have their issues. I’m an educated person with a college degree and I don’t enjoy being spoken down to.

Howard Drive Elementary is an amazing school! This is our 8th year and we have experienced exceptional teachers every step of the way. Aside from the outstanding academic standards, what makes Howard Drive so special is the caring environment. Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful. I have had 3 children at Howard Drive and I am constantly impressed by the administration, teachers and staff.

Security procedures are not strong. Anyone can walk off with your child whether they are on the no pick up list or not. Police officers are extremely rude and ineffective at supporting with traffic. Parents just want to pick up kids and drop them off, support with the flow of traffic and ensuring it runs smoothly, not rude sarcastic comments and picking and choosing who they issue tickets to. Instead they are adult bullies that think they can speak to you anyway because of their badge. It’s definitely enough to make it uncomfortable for parents. Don’t choose this school just based off of that, you won’t be happy.

Howard Drive treats my daughter like family. She is in Pre-K and has learned so much already and it is only October! We could not have asked for a better teacher or staff. We cannot wait to have our youngest attend next year!

This school is a hidden treasure in my community. It is a smaller school where every student matters.

I’ve been a parent at Howard drive for 11 years. All 3 of my kids, each with different learning styles were extremely successful. I’ve experienced both the general education classes with my kids as well as the gifted classes with my kids. Both settings successfully prepared my kids for middle school and provided a strong learning base for their educational ladder. Emotionally the schools small setting allowed every teacher and administrator to know ever student. It’s the closest setting to a private school I could find, but of coarse with more resources. The teachers, administrators, staff and school family environment were exceptional. I couldn’t have asked for a more rewarding, qualified, and memorable elementary school experience for my kids.

My son and daughter have both attended Howard Drive since pre-k and we have had a fantastic experience here. My daughter cries the last day of school because she enjoys it so much. My son is special needs and the teachers and administration have been extremely supportive. The community and overall welcoming feeling when you walk into the school is fantastic and can't be beat. I highly recommend this school. A true diamond in the ruff!

Both my daughter's have gone to Howard Drive and it's a good school, but you have a child with disability they will not get treated the same. My daughter's have tried out for every cheerleading, dance and talent show and they never get picked due to their disabilities. My daughter has a great voice and this last year she practice for 2 weeks day and night for a talent show...did not get picked. She was very sad and disappointed. The judges gave her 5's yet she didn't get In? All other kids that had no talent got in? Not a very fair school kids with disabilities do not get treated the same. Her self esteem has dropped when she noticed that they never gave her a chance. My daughter is a brilliant and responsible young lady who faced her fear when going up and trying out for 5 years!! This school definitely has priority to gifted kids and leave out others.

This is the first year that both of my children have attended Howard Drive (Grade K and 1st) and I have been very pleased with the school so far. The teachers give almost daily updates via email and Shutterfly, and the PTA is very involved.
