I have started this review so many times but due to the numerous things wrong with this school I do not know where to start. The principal is one of the most difficult people I have ever dealt with. She is unprofessional, rude, arrogant, unwilling to listen, and truly not good for the students and teachers she is supposedly there to lead. Degrees and certifications are great, but it should take a lot more to be hired to lead our children.

This place is terrible the teachers are bad the are sexist and single out minorities my son has had so much bullying.

The new principal has made wonderful improvements at this school. Incoming sixth graders are paired with eighth grade mentors. Each day starts out with a 20 minute homeroom that focuses on character building and positivity. This is followed by six classes, down from seven which was way too much for middle schoolers (or anyone really). Great teachers, available and consistent special education staff. An optional 8th grade Washington DC trip was brought back after a 19 year hiatus. The school's motto is #otherpeoplematter and it shows in all they do.

We love Parker. Great teachers. Lots of opportunities for advanced classes and STEM electives.

If your child needs any extra attention in order to make it through school, good luck. Your child is just a number at Parker. Bullying is also a HUGE problem at this school, no matter how many complaints are made. Trust me, look for a different school.

Parker Middle School - My children love Parker Middle School's teachers and staff. One is in 8th grade and has been there for three years, and excelling in everything she does, due to the support and encouragement of the wonder staff. My other student couldn't wait to get to Parker and enjoy all that the older sibling talked about. And has enjoyed her first year at Parker more than she could have imagined. Parker's musical programs are wonderful. As a parent I love the STEM classes, I hope they grow that program. Howell's programs and staff are second to none. There is a place for everyone!! At the high school, where my student will be next year, there is Culinary Arts, CAD/CAM, Firefighting, Pilot School, AP Classes/Dual Enrollment, Support classes, Athletics (No PAY TO PLAY!!!) and last but certainly not least, one of the best Performing Arts Department anywhere!! The size contributes to a student being ready for real world experiences and allows for so many different avenues and opportunities for every student.

Wow! I am very impressed with Parker Middle School! My child is thriving! The teachers love teaching their subject matter and it shows in my child's attitude and achievements! He is loving his classes and is challenged! The principal is a great leader and very caring! I can't say enough! Great environment!
