The staff is friendly. There is no foreign language offered here. P.E. is once a week only. There are times when it seems as if the educators are more focused on state mandates than they do on fostering a love of learning.

After our family received the devastating news that My sister-in-law's cancer had returned and was now terminal, we reached out to the school counselor and my son's 3rd grade teacher. Mrs. Sherman and Mr. Wardlow stepped in and offered their support with open arms. I am beyond impressed and so grateful to be part of this wonderful Community.

I currently have 2 kids who attend Farley Hill and one at Navigator. We have been a part of Pinckney Schools since 2010. We actually are in another district and school of choice into Pinckney. We love Farley Hill! The teachers we've had have been wonderful. I'm able to be as involved as I want to be, they never turn down help. I love the open lines of communication and feel I know exactly what is going on with each of my kids. My oldest is pretty advanced and his teachers were able to differentiate with him to give him advanced work. My middle needed some reading help in Kindergarten and first grade and he got that too! We also loved the pre-school program at Farley. The principal is outstanding and you can tell she truly cares about each of her students. The PTO is great too and offers several fun free events for families throughout the year. It's a true community at this school.

The teaching staff and administration truly care about the education and well-being of these students. I feel confident knowing my child goes to an environment where children strive to learn both academically and socially. The principal treats each and every one of them as the special person they are and I am happy to be a part of this school community!

I did quite a bit of research when I first started looking into schools for my oldest. We are a school of choice county so I did look at two other districts as well as a local private school. I looked at a total of four elementary schools, including Farley. Two of them were in different districts and the other was a private school. I was blown away at the difference between Farley and the other schools. Farley's classroom are neat, clean and organized. The teachers have access to and know how to use Smart boards. My oldest started going there last year and the teacher she had last year and so far this year have both responded to emails quickly and helped me with any issues or concerns I had for my daughter. My son now goes there as well and his teacher has also been wonderful. One of the biggest differences however was the principle, Mrs. Taylor. When I was reviewing schools last year, she took time out of her busy schedule to sit down with me and talk. She answered all the questions I had and gave me a mini tour of the school. What impressed me is that she did not act like this was a burden. She took me seriously (as the first time Mom sending her kid off to school) and was genuinely happy to make me more comfortable. Some of the other principles I talked to in other school districts, really did treat me as a burden and most did not make any time to talk with me. Mrs. Taylor truly made the difference and because of her we are happy to send our kids to Farley!

We did research on all the schools in our area and, although we live in another district, my husband and I chose to bring our girls to Pinckney Schools. I have never regretted my decision. The teachers are kind and knowledgeable. The resources for sports and music are wonderful. The facilities and technology are top rate. I highly recommend Pinckney Schools and especially Farley Hill Elementary.

The teachers at this school put so much thought into how best to help each child learn to their full potential. My son has special needs and his entire team worked so well together to adjust some of the activities in a way so he would be successful while allowing him to feel as though he was doing the same activity as all the other kids. I can't thank them enough.

Farley Hill Elementary is more that just a school, it is a family. The teachers here not only teach to every child's level, but they treat them with love and respect. Out of all of the encounters I have had with the staff, secretaries and principal at Farley Hill each one has been positive. I have 2 children at this school and I have another one coming next year. I am confident that their elementary school experience will be a great one!

My Daughter has attended Washington elementary for 6 yrs which Includes 2 yrs of pre-school. She is and has been on the honor roll and received level 1 advanced status scoring on her MEAP tests in BOTH reading and mathematics. I have to say my daughter is definitely very bright, but I must extend credit to the teachers and other staff members that have helped her to excel and reach her potential. The incredible level of communication between teachers and parents is outstanding at Washington elementary. The Parent volunteers must also be given praise for the great role models they are and their tremendous dedication. Submitted by a parent

Our child attened Farley for one year. We felt just like another number. The teacher did not keep us updated when our child was having problems. Also they mainstreem too many special needs kids in each classroom. They require more attention so the other children are not getting the attention they need. The front office could stand to be more friendly too. If you are looking for quailty education consider a private school in the area. It was the best decision we ever could have made.

Top Notch School! I have two children at this school. My oldest son is in the 3rd grade and has attended since first grade. My youngest son is in Farley's preschool program. The teachers are great! The open communication has been wonderful. They really encourage parents to be involved in a teaching partnership with them. The principal that retired last year was exceptional and I was afraid I would be disappointed with her replacement. I was wrong; the new principal is wonderful! I would definitely recommend this school!
