This school isn't good, was bullied a lot when I was younger when I went there, teachers would always blame the person getting bullied, also just bad in general.

Challenger is a second home to my children and us as parents. Mr. Cherry goes above and beyond to make sure each child has a wonderful learning environment and that each child’s specific learning needs are met. The staff also helps the school feel warm and welcoming. My sons teacher has exceeded my expectations in helping him with his learning disability. I couldn’t be more grateful to Challenger, the staff, and Mr. Cherry. Challenger won the Buffalo Wild Wings spirit bracket challenge out of all participating schools in Michigan! There is a lot of parent involvement and spirit at this school! If you’ve considered Challenger, don’t hesitate. We love Howell Schools but, Challenger is different... it’s home to us!

My son is in Kindergarten this year and thriving. I'm impressed with Challenger so far and don't understand the low rating.

We have just started our third year at Challenger and are very pleased. The staff is so caring and personable, with teachers that go above and beyond. Principal Cherry is fantastic. He is approachable, leads by example, and really cares about his students and staff. Families have been welcoming and involvement is welcomed and encouraged.

A fantastic school where my children are thriving with amazing teachers and staff! Principle Cherry brings a level of excellence to Challenger Elementary that is beyond measure. The school provides a warm and caring atmosphere! Children are treated as individuals not as numbers or test scores! They're taught by teachers with the utmost passion for teaching - w/ "hearts of gold" - truly a wonderful staff! My children have specific learning needs and Challenger Elementary provides and exceeds all standards -- from accelerated reading tailored to fit one kiddos "book passion" -- to the amazing support staff for my kiddo who needs that "little something" special. On all levels of learning, we couldn't be any happier with our choice to send our children to Challenger Elementary - Howell Public Schools.

I couldn't be happier with Challenger. The school as a whole is very welcoming and has a very positive atmosphere, from the staff and the parents. I know that my children have and will received excellent attention from their teachers, the staff members and principal Cherry. The classroom sizes are small which allows more one on one time with the students and insures that the children aren't over looked or left to slip between the cracks. We love Challenger.

We excercised our "School of Choice" option in choosing Challenger. This decision presented it's own challenges, among them it requires us to coordinate drop off and pick up. Ultimately, this has been the best choice for our family. We were pleased with the time and effort put into making our children feel welcome and safe in their new school. Our youngest has a severe Peanut Allergy, this alone requires extra attention to details. The education and protocols that were established to keep him safe and to help him feel included - exceeded our expectations. My other son received a teacher that was "suited" to his personality. He recogonizes and works with my sons learning style!!! Who does that!! I was told at my previous school that the child needs to learn to adapt to the different teaching styles; Although I believe that this concept has some merit - I also believe that it has to be a give and take between the child and the teacher!! If more teachers and administrators took the time to understand each childs learning style and worked with them to help them succeed - more kids would grow, excel and enjoy their school experiences. Thank You teachers and staff at Challenger!!

We came from out of state and are so glad that our children go to Challenger. We were wondering about technology use and could not be happier with what our children are learning! Challenger has more technology and more teachers who use it than the school we came from.

I am so excited that my children attend Challenger. All of the teachers are great, the office staff is so friendly and we love the principal. The PTO invited us in immediately and we feel such a part of the school family. It is a great school!!
