My son graduated from Saddle Ranch and now our daughter attends this fantastic school. We came from a pricey private school where my son was severely bullied. Saddle Ranch has been an amazing experience. The teachers and the whole staff is amazing. I drive 25 minutes each way for them to attend Saddle Ranch and Ranch View school. Absolutely lovely and my kids are both thriving and happy.

My two younger elementary children LOVE going to school everyday. My son especially loves the new STEM program. The teachers make learning engaging and fun. The students understand what it means to take care of each other and to take care of their school. There are a variety of school and PTIO sponsored events that make the school feel like a close community.

This is an exceptional school! We joined in 1st grade and our child is now going into 4th - she has had strong teaching the whole way through from experienced, caring and creative staff. The GT program is great and there is a real emphasis on creating a respectful, family atmosphere where every child is known and encouraged. During Covid, school staff did an astonishing job in balancing academic work with emotional health and teachers bent over backwards to support kids and their families. Teachers and other support and administration staff are approachable and communication is good. Our child is so excited to go back after summer vacation, which says a lot!

My 2 Children started SRE in 2019. We absolutely love the school & my sons 4 grade teacherMS. Bakke is stunning. The new Principal is fantastic & the kids are really kind. Highlands Ranch has many options when it comes to grade schools,I highly recommend Saddle Ranch to any family moving into the area. Its the BEST!!!

Very disappointing. We moved here in 2019 and came from a school where innovation and a celebration of diversity and differences were the norm. Here is the opposite. An appreciation of keeping your head down/not making waves and rote learning is what you can expect. Almost all teachers and staff seem content to do the minimum (with some exceptions, the school counselor and music teacher are actually amazing). No innovation, no critical thinking, no culture, and very little STEM or tech education (in 2020???). My son is receiving a lack luster education and being prepared for very narrow life experiences. The high scores are the result of teaching to tests and the homogeneity of the white, well educated upper middle class area. I almost regret moving based on this school/district and after the Covid 19 mess is over, we will be looking elsewhere.

The years we have been at saddle ranch have been great for my kids.

Excellent and we would dread to have to change schools ever because our kids love it at Saddle Ranch.

My child has been at Saddle Ranch for 5 years. We love the feeling you get when you walk in the building! It truly feels like you belong to one big family. My daughter has had wonderful teachers, who have taken the time to understand and value her learning style. Her special education team know her so well and are ready with ideas and ways to help her shine. We are lucky to have an amazing team of "specials" teachers. They are always quick with a cute anecdote about her when I see them in the building. The PTIO is involved and hosts so many great events throughout the year. Dr. Malouff and Mrs. Grimes are AMAZING! They are so present and easy to talk to. I feel confident that they are working to challenge the students, while making SRE a fun place to learn. On any given day you may catch them dressed in tutu's, as elves, or even a gorilla or dinosaur. My daughter LOVES being a Mustang! She says that it is a "magical" school. I would have to agree.

I have a first grader at this school. I was worried coming from a private school out of state that he would have a hard time adjusting, but the school has been a perfect fit for him. In first grade they have 3 recesses so he has ample opportunity to get his wiggles out in between the academics. The school emphasizes kindness and collaboration among the students. There is even a "Mustang Room" with a teacher aid that has a trampoline and indoor cocoon swing and other sensory type amenities for students that need a break for a couple of minutes (no IEP or 504 plan necessary). You can tell the administration really tries to provide a safe and happy learning environment for the students. Many students play at the playground after school - they don't want to leave!

Saddle Ranch has created a strong community environment. The staff, students and families are wonderful and welcoming. Enrolling in this school from a different school in the district was a fantastic decision. My child receives customized support based on our IEP. The teachers communicate often. I feel like a true partner in my child's education.

Our family loves the Saddle Ranch community including the teachers, administration staff and families. My two sons are performing at or above grade level in all subjects and have met great friends. One of my sons has a 504 plan and we have had amazing support and teacher implementation for his needs. I completely recommend this school to anyone that is considering it. You won't regret it!

My three children have been thriving at Saddle Ranch. We have the most welcoming school with some of the best teachers around. I'm proud to say my kids are Saddle Ranch Mustangs!

We moved to this part of town to enroll our kids in a school with excellent academics and a feeling of community. Saddle Ranch has provided us with both. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure their students learn as well as enjoy their time in the classroom. Dr. Malouff has done an amazing job with her leadership over the last few years and we really feel that the teachers WANT to be there to teach our kids. We are very happy with our choice in neighborhood schools!

One of the best schools in Douglas County. I love that it was walking distance from my home.

The school itself has a great community and good teachers. The school district is implementing policies and management styles that are sending teachers away to other districts. Douglas County School district is a district in trouble, with a severe divide between a corporate management model and a education best practices model. I rate the school high in teacher commitment and knowledge. The principal interacts with the students well and often, and is receptive to working with parents with controversial concerns. I chose to delay homeschooling this year because her teacher and the school has been so positive for my 1st grade daughter. If the school board continues it's negative influence to the degree that it overrides teachers' abilities to resist these influences, I will choose to home school. I rate the school high, and the school board as low as the scale goes.

Saddle Ranch Elementary has exceeded my expectations by a long long way! The caring teachers are exceptional, the administration is fantastic with a strong emphasis on communication with the parents. You are not left wondering about how your child is doing at any given time. Care and consideration is given to ensure each and every child is comfortable with the learning process, instructions and expectations for learning. My daughter loves this school and will be a proud graduate from Saddle Ranch this year. If you are looking for a comfortable learning environment in which your child can be who they are, comfortable and put in a very positive learning environment, then join the Mustangs of Saddle Ranch and watch your child blossom! Kudos Saddle Ranch...You have been amazing in the growth and development of my child each and every year!

We moved from California in 1st grade and everyone was so welcoming an the teachers were above and beyond anything I had experienced in California I then had to home school my daughter due to travel but 4th grade and we are back at saddle ranch and its still amazing. So lucky to have art and music and computer and other specials as well as the opportunity for extra classes that are amazing outside of school hours. We are really blessed to be able to attend saddle ranch. The principal and office staff as well as all other teachers are always approachable and always have time to answer questions. I love the way math and reading groups are broken up into different levels to suit the child. Just a wonderful school all around.

Saddle Ranch Elementary is an excellent elementary school that provides great leadership and teachers for the students who attend. The teachers really work hard at teaching and preparing our children for the future. We are lucky in that we have all our specials (PE, technology, art and music) 100% of the time and did not have to reduce any of these offerings, so the kids have a well-rounded eduction. We moved to the Saddle Ranch school in 2012 and have been pleased by the exceptional leaders and teachers on staff. Communication is ALWAYS great and I know what is on the schedule for the coming week or month. Overall, moving to Saddle Ranch Elementary was an easy transition for my child and she is growing, learning and feeling right at home at this school.

Saddle Ranch is a terrific school with outstanding leadership from the principal and wonderful, caring teachers. It is truly a neighborhood school; every day you see parents and kids (and dogs!) walking together to and from school through the trails and greenbelts that surround it.
