I 100% recommend Bear Canyon Elementary School! Having had my children attend this wonderful school, I can confidently say it provides an outstanding education and supportive environment. My eldest had a 504 plan, second born on an ALP and my youngest was on an IEP, and all three received exceptional care and tailored support from dedicated staff. The school's commitment to individualized learning truly made a difference in my children's educational experiences. The teachers are passionate, the administration is approachable, and the overall atmosphere is nurturing. Bear Canyon is a gem in our community, and I’m incredibly grateful for the positive impact it’s had on my family.

You couldn’t pay me to send my child to this school especially with the current principal. My daughter is still working through trauma caused by this woman. I have never felt so worthless as a parent as I trusted their guidance.

We love Bear Canyon! The teachers and staff are all so caring, knowledgeable and welcoming. I feel that my child is getting a good education both academically and socially. As an Energy Bus school, they teach important principles to kids while fostering a great culture. The variety of after-school programs are also wonderful. The PTA hosts many great activities and events for kids and their families, and many of the parents across the school are very engaged. We love the tight-knit community feel. This is a wonderful place to send your children!

Bear Canyon Elementary is fantastic! The staff and teachers go above and beyond to create a welcoming learning environment for students. Parent involvement and volunteerism is highly encouraged here. We are so happy we found a place that feels like family and has a very strong sense of community.

Bear Canyon Elementary is our neighborhood school. Our son has attended since kindergarten and will be moving on to middle school at the end of this year. Our daughter also attends and luckily has a few more years before she moves on. We love the community that BCE has to offer. There is strong parent involvement, and major bonus, the teachers and staff are amazing! Our children have thrived here both academically and socially. We are so grateful to have such an amazing school in our neighborhood. We love BCE!

I was so nervous to send my first born off to elementary school, I had a list of questions to ask the admin during a tour and she not only answered them all before I could ask but I felt so reassured and comforted knowing this was the best school for my kid. My daughter loves going to school here, her teachers are thoughtful and kind, every staff member knows the kids by name. Not only do they focus on academics but they also build their social emotional skills with their Energy Bus principles and many resources and staff dedicated to meeting each unique need of students. I’m amazed at the detail and time and thought from each teacher and staff. The PTA does a great job building community among the families and giving back to the students and teachers. I couldn’t ask for a better school!

The teachers, staff and principal at this school genuinely care so much for their students and the parents. No matter what obstacles your child may have or you as a parent may have they work with you and help in a way that truly touched me and my spouse’s heart. If you have a chance to send your student here I would take it. There is no price most patents wouldn’t pay to ensure the best for their kid (and I know, I have paid a lot for other private schooling.)However, in my opinion, there is no other school (private public or otherwise) I would rather have my kid’s education and other needs met at. Bear Canyon is a hidden gem I would advise any and all parents to consider.

All the staff and teachers at Bear Canyon are very caring and always welcoming! The school has some great programs put into place that encourages kindness and leadership as part of the student curriculum. As others have mentioned, the size of the school allows for more of a small town feel. I would like if the school could include more events like holiday concerts, in person talent shows, etc.

I have two boys that have gone to this school. It is amazing to see my boys actually like going to school and looking forward to it. This school has a small town community feeling, the teachers are all supportive, and I could not be happier that my children got to attend this school!

I have 2 children at Bear Canyon. My kindergarten child is on the autism spectrum and has an IEP for developmental delay. The SSN staff and her teacher have been absolutely amazing. I am so thankful for the love, and care She receives and she has grown in so many areas! The teachers and staff are amazing.

My kids loved Bear Canyon. My oldest daughter has some learning needs and the individualized support given at BCE was amazing. My younger daughter simply enjoyed school. We found administrators and teachers to be available when needed and felt like everyone was working together for the benefit of my kids.

Horrible, I dedicated my time the entire school year and helped weekly and I was treated with disrespect and not welcomed. The assistant principal made our experience very bad.

I have had three children grow through Bear Canyon and despite principal changes, this has been the best school for my kids. The teachers are awesome and they really care about the children's academic success as well as their overall character and well-being.

My boys transferred to Bear Canyon from Wildcat Mountain when we moved. While I loved Wildcat I feel that Bear Canyon has been overall a better fit for my children. My 1st grader was tested and put in more challenging learning groups as well as offered more rigorous work. At the last school he was bored with the work because there wasn't enough of a challenge. My kinder kid was helped SO much with his needs in reading and language and grew leaps and bounds before the end of the year. Bear Canyon is an 'A' rated school with talented and dedicated teachers and staff. I'm not sure why this site has it rated 8/10 when other sites have rated 9 or 10!

I have a 1st grader and pre-Kindergartener at BCE and we couldn't be happier. Communication with the staff is easy and thorough, there are fun activities for the kids and families throughout the year and the teachers we've encountered so far are warm, caring and get the job done! We recently bought a new home and I made sure we only looked in the BCE boundaries.

Two of my children are currently attending Bear Canyon, and we love it. The teachers are caring and innovative. They see each of my children as individuals and are interested in their progress. They email weekly and are very encouraging. It's an incredible school.
