Dear Fox Creek Elementary The The pain you have caused me and my mental state is atrocious. And don’t even get me started on the fox trot $46,000 to the GARDEN like how they’re no way I just don’t believe it. Oh and the dance expedition one of the worst experiences in my lifetime like random groups like half of the kids are messing around and the performance ALL THE PARENTS are there and the only reason they are there is to not make there child feel bad. The food quality is yet another reason why Fox Creek is not a good school like half the menu is cheese bread and sauce or pure sugar like the “cherry muffin” more like cherry cupcake or the milk which is often compared to the wood chips and mud when it snows. And now apparently they thought kindergarten was to discounted so they forced 4th grade out in the two Mobile homes outside and yes there are around 90 kids like has anyone ever thought of something like a tornado and what about little Jimmy who needs to use the potty but it’s negative 23 degrees he going to get frost bite like the safety of this children tho. Now you might have heard of the Habits of Character now at first all these thing seem great like integrity and perseverance but once you’ve done one year you will never forget them and they over do it so much that once you leave the school and hear the word integrity you can’t help but gag. Tho there are genuinely good staff and teachers that can’t cover up the many blatant problems.

We have had two children come through this school, and we couldn’t be happier. The support, the learning, the growth, and the friendships that our children have made is incredible. We love that they are an EL credentialed school as well. Nothing but positivity from our family!

This school sucked. It that simple.I barely learned anything the few years I was here, my little sister struggled with speech development issues and she wasn't helped. This schools counselor caused me more issues than I had. And The teachers have used force on students to get them to move. Please please please don't send your children here especially if they struggle with disabilities, adhd, autism etc. The special Ed is a joke. They do not provide support and use brute force. They make you feel like your not good enough to be with the rest of your class and threaten you with punishments. I was diagnosed with autism and adhd after this school and the counselor here called me psychotic once. Not the best thing to tell a kid getting put through every fir of therapy possible lol. They also do nothing about bullying, absolutely nothing. They used the "boys will be boys" excuse punching so yeah. They male you do public embankment by dancing in front of everyone and that sucked. School is underfunded and teachers are political. DONT GO HERE

I wouldn't change one thing about my kids' experience. It's a great place for kids.

Fox Creek is a wonderful, unique, neighborhood school. The sense of community you get from the staff, teachers, students and parents is like no other. Their motto, "We are Crew", is exactly what I want my children to be learning... that they are part of this community, this city, this world and they have their part here. No one is a passenger, we all work together to get the job done. The change to an EL school a number of years ago was confusing to me at first... I didn't know what it meant exactly. BUT after my 1st grader stood in front of a presentation board and spoke for 10 minutes about each part of his expedition, how they were connected and how the experience made him a better learner, I was sold!

A great school starts with great leadership. Principal Brian Rodda is an exceptional leader. I have been able to observe his leadership in the context of his interactions with parents and students, and in the context of dealing with some hard and uncomfortable stuff. I've been highly impressed by his thoughtfulness, his intentionality (though I hate that buzzword), and the care he takes in the messages he gives the students. Though I haven't observed his interactions with staff, evidence that it too is excellent comes through in the way the teachers and other staff members talk about Brian and in their obvious and genuine affection for him. Our kids came from a top school district in the San Francisco Bay Area—a California Distinguished School—and we have found Fox Creek to be a superior school in every way. One of only 161 Expeditionary Learning schools in the US, Fox Creek is a school you should definitely consider. I hear through the grapevine that 2017-18 enrollment has left room for a few more students.

We've been at Fox Creek for 8 years, and we've watched it grow and develop in many ways. The community feeling is wonderful. The recent change to an Expeditionary Learning school has been a positive change. Kids immerse themselves into their learning and take responsibility for being a part of a bigger community. Teachers are first-rate. The administration is forward-thinking and welcoming of parental support and involvement. Student clubs are varied and offer opportunities for kids with all kinds of interests to get involved. The PTO is active and really wants what's best for the kids. I can't imagine my kids growing up at another elementary school.

Fox Creek is such a fabulous school! I have absolutely nothing negative to say. From summer communications by my son's Kindergarten teacher scheduling park playdates for all of the students assigned to her class for the upcoming year (awesome), to the beautiful school grounds, to the "specials" offered (music, art, technology, gym) to the principal playing guitar on the first day and singing along with students, etc... the list goes on and on. Staff is friendly, helpful, and they actually enjoy the children and get to know each and every child's name. PTO is incredible and schedules so many fun activities to raise money for the school, to help out in the community and to bring school families together. Also, the care and concern for the safety of all children there is first and foremost with constant communication on safety procedures, watch dog dads, etc. The quality of teaching just blows me away. My son learned to read, do math, explore his artistic side, be active and grow in his confidence and independence. All of this in Kindergarten! We are moving out of state and I pray that we will find a school as good as Fox Creek! Thank you for giving my son such an amazing start!

Before we open enrolled at Fox Creek last year we did our homework. We toured several schools and interviewed principals and teachers. A lot of what the other schools were talking about Fox Creek was already doing. We are so happy to be part of the Fox Creek family. The administrators and teachers are the best in the district, the PTO is very active, the parents are engaged, and the students are happy and respectful all of which make Fox Creek a great environment. I would highly recommend Fox Creek!!!!!

All three of our children have attended Fox Creek. Our daughters have moved onto high school and middle school respectfully and have thrived both academically and socially. There is no doubt that the Fox Creek administration and teachers exceeded our expectations in providing a solid foundation for them to build upon. Our son presently attends Fox Creek and he loves it! Upon arrival, you will find the most welcoming atmosphere; loaded with high energy and comprehensive focus of instruction. The administration, teachers, staff and PTO are second to none; we love Fox Creek!

This is our fifth year at Fox Creek and we couldn t be more pleased! Both of my boys love the school and their teachers. The teachers are amazing. We ve had some behavior difficulties at times with the boys, and the teachers have always worked with us to find the best solution for our kids. When you walk into the building, you are greeted like family. Parents are always welcome to volunteer in the classroom, get involved in activities, or just hang out and observe. The before and after school care program is top notch great teachers and a really family feel. It doesn t get much better than at Fox Creek!

Can't say enough about this school, highly recommend it to all parents with elementary level children.

My children have attended Fox Creek for 3 years. We moved to Highlands Ranch from a different state. I am continuously impressed with the level of dedication shown by teachers and administration to students. The PTO is a strong organization and offers many ways for parents to get involved. Not only have my kids made lifelong friends, so have I. The sense of community is phenomenal. I love that my kids look forward to going to school.

I have nothing but positive words to say about Fox Creek. I do and will recommend this school to anyone. We moved here from out of state 3 years ago and are still amazed at how great of a school Fox Creek is. The teachers/staff are amazing! They truly care about each student and make each one feel that they are important. When moving grades and finding out what teacher your student will have for that upcoming year, it is never a worry at Fox Creek, any and all of them are great. I have never seen a principal so involved and active with the students and parents, what a great leader! As a school, they respect you as the parent and your time as a family. Fox Creek is more than a school, it is a great group of people that come together as a community. When we first visited Fox Creek 3 years ago, I remember feeling welcomed the moment I walked in the door and I still feel that today.

My kids have all gone to Fox Creek but I have to admit that there were a couple years that I was checking into Academies as it seemed the "In" thing to do. After further research (2 years) and countless conversations with other parents and students, who had switched to the Academy and had been very disappointed, I decided to get more involved at the school to find out if there where any truth to my concerns. The concerns that I had (advanced child not being challenged) was being handled by the Teacher and staff effortlessly. I am still with Fox Creek and I am VERY happy. My kids all have friends that are in their neighborhood that go to their neighborhood school. And in my opinion, the way it should be! Thank you Fox Creek for making this possible for me and my family! Also, I would like to point out that one thing that the Academy schools do have right is mandatory parental volunteering. Getting involved at your school and investing your time, gives you a sense of belonging and pride. So, in my experience, before you decide to leave your neighborhood school for an Academy, get involved at your school !
