Love this school and the community. They care about the children and teachers are engaged and caring. It’s diverse and wonderful.

This school seems nice from an outside perspective, however having our child here was a different experience. Few of the teachers are amazing but most lack any and all ethics. The administrators are a joke and have flat out lied to us and other families (I still have proof of those lies). I would strongly caution anyone entertaining this school to talk with other families who have had a child there. Don’t get caught in a pig with lipstick scenario like we did. If you have doubt, the new school we picked was appalled by some of the things we told them happened while we were there. For context, this was elementary school for our experience.

Excellent school. The leadership works tirelessly to support the staff, faculty, and community. Servant leadership is modeled by the Head of Schools. She will never ask anyone to do anything she isn't willing to do herself. She continues to teach to stay connected to her teachers. Sr. Negron works to ensure both social-emotional and academics are a priority. Teachers engage with students and parents alike. The athletic program has blossomed under the new leadership of Tom Lenderink and the PreK-12 program is enhanced by the Volunteer efforts of older students serving younger students.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!! I’m a freshman who had been going to skyview since preschool through 8th grade. Even when I was little I remember teachers being rude, ridiculing me and other kids for the smallest things like drawing in class. In 5th grade I had a horrible teacher who yelled and degraded any kid in front of the the class. That teacher broke me as a kid, making me fail for the next four years. I came home crying every day and yet that teacher is still working there. Through my middle school year I was relentlessly bullied by other kids as the staff did nothing about it. But when I stood up for myself I was the one getting in trouble. This school doesn’t care one bit about their students and only cares about their reputation. Don’t send your kids to this school it will ruin then.

The middle school was the only good part about this school. It was great! High school is SO BAD! Elementary is okay. The teachers in middle school are AMAZING!! Shoutout to Perez, Lundeen, Luí, Ferre, the Bows, Sunberg, Johnson, and Mortimer. If you get any of those teachers you know that your kid is in good hands. They are wonderful and caring teachers. They truly love their students. The administration is fine but they stuck their noses in places they shouldn’t. For example you run of the mill friend drama. Let the kids figure it out. Go for the Middle School but PLEASE put your kids in a regular high school.

This school is 100% resting on its test scores. The current admin allows children to be injured and bullied with no reprecussions. My children were students here K-4, but we are leaving for safety concerns. The number of families pulling their kids should be part of the reports each year, but is not.

SkyView Academy has been a fantastic school for our three children. All three have been challenged by the rigor of the school and yet they have excelled academically and thrived. When moving on to high school they were well ahead of their classmates in the mainstream schools and were ready to jump into honors and AP courses. Aside from academics our children have been taught on a daily basis about investing in the community around them and how to be honorable leaders, which is huge to us! This school really is about focusing on the entire student and they care. The teachers and administration are incredible! We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great place to send their children!

The culture at the school is amazing! Everyone is caring and passionate about educating our children. Time and energy is invested into each student to help them reach their potential and develop excellence. My children were well-prepared for high school and then college with the rigorous curriculum at SkyView. They were actually a year ahead of their peers when they left SkyView. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a private education without the price tag.

Sky View Academy claims to be a college preparatory school where they educate “life long learners and honorable leaders” but in my experience, that was completely false. Upon coming to college, I quickly realized that due to SVA’s easy work load and minimalistic courses, I was extremely behind and unprepared for college. They also did not offer enough AP courses to allow students to enter college with more credits. Most classes relies heavily on group work, projects and class participation rather than reading and writing - which is what college primarily focuses on. Finally and most importantly, the overall culture at sky view academy with the teachers and students does not give students the education in which they can fully appreciate the things they are learning because school is treated as something that must be completed and the end goal is to graduate. In short, SVA does not prepare students for college and does not teach them to truly learn and to appreciate their education but rather how to put in minimal effort and achieve the lowest standards towards mediocrity and completion.

We love Skyview Academy. All three of our kids are going there - and have been for years. It's been a fabulous experience and because of the school size and dedication of the staff and teachers, it feels like a family.

The current high school administration has a great vision for student success. School safety, structure, and teacher support has strengthened during Mr. Ail's principalship. The counselors do an incredible job helping students academically and socially. They stay with the same student through the four years of high school and work with them to get into college. The college timeline is designed to help seniors get into college earlier than most schools!

What a difference a great school makes! The community built by the elementary principal and the teachers far exceeds any expectations I had coming into the year. The teachers have a passion for learning that is contagious. I couldn’t be more proud of my kids successes or thankful for the opportunity to enroll at this special school.

Love SVA! We are new this year and couldn't be happier!

Our first few years of elementary school were promising, and then we hit 5th grade. The teachers were self involved, and even totally tuned out. I wasn't told my child was having serious problems until a month after the teacher first noticed. 6th grade was horrendous. The pressure for an 11 year old was unbelievable, and most of the teachers were completely inflexible. There was 1...ONE school psychologist for preschool through 12th grade, and she was frequently unavailable. It wasn't until we began the process of pulling my child out that the principal called to say maybe they could come up with a plan. That school BROKE my child. Thank God we got out, and his new teachers care about his entire being, not just his grades. Avoid this school like the plague. I can rattle off 10 families who've jumped ship, and that's just from my personal aquaintences.

SkyView is a safe environment that consistently challenges students to grow: academically, socially, and in personal character. SkyView teachers work with each individual student to ensure they are able to access class content. The teachers and the administration are personally invested in guiding students to make wise choices every week. The SkyView culture promotes service both within the school and out in the community. It is a great environment where middle school students thrive.

SkyView Academy cares about my students. My students have teachers who truly care about them as people and as learners. SkyView Academy has high expectations and provides high levels of support to help my students learn to their potential.

SkyView is the ideal school for all of our children. From preschool to high school, our kids' academic and social needs are met. They look forward to going to school and being part of the SVA community. We are so grateful we've found this school
