This school is truly outstanding. The teachers, front desk staff, counselors, and custodians all contribute to an environment that is both welcoming and impeccably maintained. I’m especially impressed by Principal Mrs. Loyd, who is deeply involved in every aspect of the school.My daughter has attended for three years, and every experience has been positive. She has been fortunate to learn from excellent teachers each year, with her first-grade teacher, Mrs. Fields, standing out as particularly exceptional.I also value the school’s embrace of diversityit’s a place where all cultures and ethnicities are respected and celebrated. Every member of the school community puts their heart into what they do, making this one of the very best schools out there.

SWE is a great school. Teachers very very respectful and engaging. Mrs. Williams (5th), Mrs. Lyles (4th), and Ms. Brandsema need a special mention, great teachers. We were surprised with a follow from Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Lyles and Ms. Brandsema (our son's favourite toy just before Covid from Ms. B). SWE is great because teachers and Administration are great. ACES is also great, Mrs. Howles and Ms. Milloway, thanks!

Awesome school because of the administrative staff and teachers! Warm, friendly environment and the most hands-on principal. Any questions or concerns are immediately addressed and handled appropriately. Hoping middle school will be just as great!!

I will have to disagree with all of the negative reviews. When I bought my home in this district I email Dr. Muller and asked him questions about 5th grade and he called me back the same day and eased my concerns, he also said that he wanted to meet my son at orientation and when we found him he encouraged my son who was nervous about 5th grade. I have 4 children in Southwest and neither of them unless they procrastinate are over loaded with homework. The principle sends emails every Friday, I also receive news letters monthly from the teachers. I have contacted the teachers through email and have received a response within the hour. I have a son with a IEP and yes the classes are large because it is a desired school but is he receiving extra time out of the classroom, and yes guess what you have to help your child when they a not in school with homeroom work because you are a parent. In the previous school my son was being bullied and at Southwest we have not had any problems he even stated everyone here is nice and funny. They should probably look at expanding the school because there are a lot of houses being built in this district and that is the only thing that is concerning to me.

Principal Dr Muller is awesome! He seems to know every parent and kid by name! The teachers I have this year are awesome (Mrs Capra and Mrs Morris)! The curriculum was a little tough last year but we made it thru. I love how organized he school is and how great the PTA is! Only criticism is hat I hate the quiet lunchtime but on the other hand I understand because the kids won't focus on actually eating. So far so good. Great after school programs with ACES and Dramakids as well as Spanish!

We have both of our children at SWES. We love the teachers and staff! There is great parent/community support and involvement. Our principal has been there a few years now, is younger and has great ideas! The teachers are great and best of all our kids are happy!
