There are things that happen at Oak View that are covered up. Parents are made to believe there’s a teacher in the classroom but, in fact, the kids are being “taught” by rotating TAs or subs. Turnover has been horrible for the last 2-3 years. Teachers forced out based on whether they are “liked” or not. There are actually some really great teachers at the school, those who have been there for while, but many of the teachers are new to the school, which. Isn’t good for the kids.

My kids went to Oakview in the 90s and we had a really great experience but unfortunately my granddaughters have not had that experience. They are currently students at Oakview and everyday they come home talking about this child fighting this child or supposed to fight at recess..everyday. They have been bullied to tears and physically messed with to. One has a boy in her class always hitting her and bruising her arm, she's tried to tell and was yelled at and told to sit down. We were told that they would speak to the other child but never heard anything. They have heard mature content from other students and I have had to explain a lot of things that a 2nd grader shouldn't be hearing. Another granddaughter has boys trying to touch her backside..it's very sad, I used to tell everyone how great of a school Oakview was. They will not be returning next year.

My children's grades dropped coming to this school. My children were ill equipped with the latest technology to stay on grade level. Students are not supported by the administration. The classrooms are over crowded. The school starts extremely too early for such young students. My child eats lunch at 10:30am. The overall test scores at this school is very low. This has to be the lowest performing school in the country. The school focuses more on behavior over learning. Stay away from this school, you will regret it.

This was my daughter's first year. She was in Kindergarten and I have to say this was the greatest experience and she loved it! Her teacher, Mrs. Brandenburg and Asst. teacher Ms. Wester truly love their students and care aboout their lives and their success in school. I wish they could move with her to every grade level! The staff is always so friendly and I love how everyone is really involved in helping one another succeed. By far one of the best experiences as a Mother I've had yet! :)

I absolutely love this school. This year was the first for my children, who were in 3rd and 4th grade. Almost instantly they felt welcomed and it seemed as if they had been there since kindergarten. My son had a few behavioral issues but the staff all did their best to help him and encourage him to do his best and participate in class. Mrs. Bare was always easy to be found and available to talk if needed. Looking forward to the upcoming school year at Oakview.

This School is great, safe and has an excellent learning environment. All of my kids were in this School and they learned to much, about how to behave, be a good student, etc. Thank you so much to all the teachers and employees, they are doing a very good job.

WOW! Being that 2010-2011 was our first year at Oak View, we were very worried about this rating of a 3 from great schools. Mrs. Bare and the admin staff are wonderful! Mrs Millen is a GREAT kindergarten teacher partnered with her asst. Mrs. A.! We couldn't have been more pleased with the school and are proud to call ourselves Oak View Bears!! Thanks everyone!
