Everything is textbook based, until the teachers create a test with nothing you’ve learned on the textbook. The lectures were little to nonexistent and there isn’t anything to pay attention in class because it’s either going over your homework from the previous night or from the textbook. Had a security guard accuse a student of sexual harassment when they hugged their friend and their friend’s skirt lifted up a bit. Had a shooter threat and didn’t cancel school for safety. When it was smoky, I had to wait outside for multiple teachers to come back from using the bathroom during the entirety of the passing period. Over the years, most of my friends had transferred out to a better school and I should’ve done the same.

My daughter is a junior at HHS and she rates the school a four out of five. She tells me she feels safe there, enjoys the happy, laid back atmosphere, and feels like those who care about their grades and want to get into a good college are getting what they need, more or less. There are good and bad teachers at this school, like at most schools, and the school officials aren't great but not terrible either. Some of her cousins who went there enjoyed a similar experience.

Run to another school. The administration is a farce.The students unruly, the security guards part of the problem and the teachers aren't getting paid enough to care. Generally speaking of course. My experience with this school is totally negative from beginning to end. I will never encourage anyone to enroll their child in this school.

This school really needs to refresh on how to keep kids safe there. There are always fights and the new principal just doesn't seem to have a handle on things. I preferred the previous principal, things just seemed not so hectic.
